I might have to try something similar for my HK VP9, maybe even make a new valve stem with no flats to begin with?... So many projects, so little time!... Jesse

Update on my 1077 barrel upgrade... 10 inch barrel upgrade. 4.8mm Inner Diameter... Yeah I gave it a 4.8 instead of a 4.6, cause the 4.6 was too narrow for the Daisy 5.25 grains leadfree to travel through... Also, the barrel gave significant gains, approximately 80 fps bonus, going from 656 to 736.876 fps... still falling short of the factory claims of "780 fps"... The current energy is now about 8.6 joules... still somewhat short of my hopes of achieving 10.5 joules... And it only seemed to reach 736.876 fps once, the rest were 214 meters per second or below... Temperature 80F, Humidity 70% Anyone wanting to do this themselves... I had to superglue the barrel in...so its somewhat permanent. It already feels long, so adding a 2 foot barrel will make it ridiculously long... plus .177 doesn't seem like a great caliber for killing rats in... except maybe a full-auto MP7 lol... The magazine of the 1077 looks and feels like a McDonalds toy... perhaps somebody could upgrade it... the rotating mechanism is super loose, I can't even begin to understand how it even works, perhaps a minor miracle that it does. You better superglue that barrel in or the barrel will fall out the rifle... then the pellet might bounce back and collide with the chamber... not sure though... probably unlikely... I would rather just a longer barrel from the factory, cause you must assume that the barrel holder is perfectly round and center...

Hello Rune, Im getting my HDR this week, you mentioned in another video that the restrictor could be easily removed with a screwdriver? Is the slit across the disk where I place the driver? Is it the usual lefty-loosy/righty-tighty? (Do I unscrew the restrictor with a counter-clockwise motion?) Or do I have to drill as you showed in this video?

i wish i had your hdr and seans hdr , he is shooting a lot less than you are ! . i would have to make a very educated and high phuckin guess , i got over 4 decades of modding exp. , so here goes , maybe its because you use way more silicone oil than he does , and it is 75 degrees F in your house at the time of shooting ? . oil makes a big big difference , i keep telling people that . ! come on and join me my awesome brother , lets us 3 solve this equation !!!

over a 100 fps increase on a co2 pistol is good my friend . i enjoyed watch you show off your awesome mods ! great show as always my awesome brother !!! i really like this model , but i am kind of leaning on finding a good deal on a barra scofield , 2 years plus , walmart had them 75% off , i wish i would have bought them , i bought daisy 1911 type , like the daisy winchester model 11 , bought 5 of them , and 2 beeman P17 , they are pretty cool ! . i have a few more cool ones . the reason i want the barra , you can get the pellet mod cyclinder and rifled barrel for it for under 30 dollars U.S. !!!

Those are impressive figures, my friend. Waxmax is a top bloke for coming up with the 100+ fps mods. And as you've previously proved, engineering your own markers and pistols is not too difficult if you just pay attention to how it came apart. Great video 👍🏻

Hi Rune, great video. I’m so pleased you tried out the same mods and congratulations on the valve itself. It is a bit of a bugger to do. I see you went to 3.5mm on the co2 transfer port. I maxed out at 4.5 but was pushing my luck. Luckily it works ok. The other valve assembly I went to 4mm. Did you also drill out that smaller channel which has the tiny screw in? I have a couple of other ideas planned with mine but not with the valve or valve assembly. That really is maxed out now. As always, really appreciate the shoutout from you. Thank you.

I am considering of buying an hdr50 or tr50 for self defense at home and i want to max it out in joules for best possible damage. Is it possible to achieve it with this kit? Or will i get less than 30 joules? I am completely unfamiliar with this topic as i only own a PX4 storm of umarex and never tried to modify it (i diidnt even know you can tune them!).

Hey Rune :) Disclaimer - I'm not an expert! I'm just brainstorming here. If you look at the rear of the valve where the firing pin strikes it, the edges of the valve stem are ground flat on either side so that CO2 blows backwards as well as forwards. The firing pin is set in a piston, so that whole assembly is pushed backwards to drive the hammer block back and recock the gun when the valve is opened. In fact if you take the magazine out and remove the rubber seal over the valve, if you hold it up you can see light all the way through around the valve. So quite a lot of the extra CO2 your grinding out produced is probably being lost in blowback, and the firing pin is being moved backwards harder and faster, and probaby counteracting the extra gas as the valve is open for a shorter time. Maybe a longer firing pin would help. The firing pins are quite simple, someone with a modellers lathe could turn a new one easily. Another thing I thought for the same effect was to shim the end of the valve stem where the firing pin hits by glueing a tiny disk of metal onto it so that the valve is open for longer, but I haven't tried it yet as I'm scared of breaking my firing pin. You could make an experimental softer shim from epoxy putty maybe, to see if it works. You could remove the valve and replace it with modelling clay to see how deep the firing pin goes when fired, and then compare to how far in the valve can be pushed in to see if the valve is being fully opened as far as it can possibly go, then make the new or shimmed firing pin fractionally shorter to avoid damage. Reducing the blowback would be tricky, but you might be able to block the gaps around the valve stem somewhat with epoxy putty or solder, It's an engineering task well beyond my abilities though, as you'd still need enough blowback to cycle the slide. IMO, a longer (or shimmed) firing pin is possibly the only way to tune this pistol with the stock barrel. However, there is also this if you can find a barrel extension that fits it - it's a silencer adaptor. I have the previous model Dan Wesson 2.5" model and 8" barrel in BB. The 8" constantly hits 500FPS, but the average temperature here is 35 degrees Celsius. ASG make great Dan Wesson replicas
