I once hit an aggressor in the Adam's apple with a slingshot and some glass marbles. Many years ago! Lightweight but still solid glass! Direct hits, bro!
The umarex 1/2 inch glass/nxg glass you have is the same thing. They hit hard till I switched to 12.5 steel and tuning barrel also. I was using it in the hdp50 though, I think I was getting around 425-430 or something like that. They hardly read in my chronograph also the f1 style chronograph
i swear i think youtube scans my comments , i just lost a thousand word comment i was writing to you . this happens a lot . ok long story short my awesome brother , get you a bright light socket with powerful 100 watt bulb to sit on top of caldwell chrony something like Jeff from canada uses when he is in his basement . next i told you a few times , over 40 years ago when i began testing paintball guns for defense , i used plenty of glass marbles , i did some with paint to make them large enough to use , but i also used like freezer tape to wrap around balls then when they were the right size , i would use wood glue to coat the paper based tape to harden and seal them up .i also have used electrical tape with strong glue to hold them together . when marbles are closer to the size i need like 16 or 17mm , i just coat them with spray paint 3 to 10 coats , takes a week or so to do this , put marbles in a pan or box , spread them out , spray them all in a couple of hours , turn them over and spray the other side let dry . do this many times until the balls fit tight in the cylinder or barrel . i really like the spray paint method , i did this to 6mm airsoft as well , steel bb's and all types of pellets as well because tighter fitting ammo works better !!! now with .50 cal markers , 12.5 mm glass that has been sprayed 5 to 7 times makes them 12.7 or 8 very easily , makes a better seal so all of air is used to push them out of barrel . i have been doing mods and less lethal stuff then most people have lived in this modern time LOL .... back to .68 cal , i take thin strips of scotch tape to put on the red devastator rounds to make sure they stay in cylinder because they fit loosely . i do the same thing to aluminum balls , this works well !!! clear paint works well too if you prefer to use that .! now back to airguns , spraypainting .172 steels bb's a few times makes em safer to shoot in .177 barrels ,makes for a more powerful shot , also does wonders in airsoft too , i hope this helps with this small problem my AWESOME BROTHER and great show my friend !!!! just think of all escaping air you loose when it goes all around the projectile , so tighter ammo solves that problem !!!
Thanks for all the info brother. I used to use a worklamp over my old F1 chrony, but since I bought the Caldwell chrony it had normally worked fine with no extra light. Its a hassel to rig up the light over the chrony, but it works. Guess I must do so next time I use it. Spraypaint might be the solution for small balls. Or I can just use a patch around the ball if used in revolvers. I will have to try the spraypaint and see how it goes. Cheers brother😃
I saw glass balls on pyramid airguns, then a few days later they were gone. Those you have are from Europe, can we get them in the US? Love your channel!
I'm probably showing my ignorance here, but would fit in the cylinder and velocity be improved if you used a patch around the balls? I'm thinking a tight weave, like a nylon or silk. Or is that counter productive in an airgun?
Sorry to bother you again grand master, but my new t4e hdr68 pistol seems very inaccurate, tried hard rubber balls and also different weights of 3d printed ammo, cannot hit a bottle at all end or middle of garden, they just go off in different directions!
@@scannaunderscore1 I dont think so. Ask DK Spencer if he can send you some of his slugs. Sey its for the HDR68 so he can send you the right type of slugs. With the right fitting ammo it might shoot better 🤔
Hi brother. Yes it rise the power ca 5 joule. But I have put in a copper pipe inside it for a better fit for the ammo. With slugs I get around 30+ joule now
It s the greatest projectile for hdp50
Yes I think it will work great in the HDP50 😃👍
I know a few people found the glass sling shot ammo was inconsistently bore sized.
The infamous tin can test says they would hurt. 😎
Yes the size seems to be quite inconsistant🤔. But I guess it would hurt as Hell beeing hit with them😎
I was nearly late to watch, thanks 👍 Rune
Thanks my friend. Iam glad you like the video 😃

I bet that stopped him. Beeing hit in the adams apple must be very painful indeed. Take care bro
@@runerebel8441 It took him almost a minute to get back up and that guy was 6 feet tall and built like a brick house.
@@slingshotwarrrior8105 Good job bro!

Thanks for the info my friend😃
I like to use the Umarex glass polymer QAB’s
They seems to be of good quality but can differ a bit in size. Maybe they work fine in the HDP50 🤔
I like these in the HDP. As you found, most are too small for the Revolver.
Thanks for sharing Rune 👍
Thanks my friend. Glad to know they will work fine in the HDP50😃
You are a Tincan démolition Rune !!! ❤
Thanks my friend🙏. Iam the tincan killer LOL😁👍

next i told you a few times , over 40 years ago when i began testing paintball guns for defense , i used plenty of glass marbles , i did some with paint to make them large enough to use , but i also used like freezer tape to wrap around balls then when they were the right size , i would use wood glue to coat the paper based tape to harden and seal them up .i also have used electrical tape with strong glue to hold them together .
when marbles are closer to the size i need like 16 or 17mm , i just coat them with spray paint 3 to 10 coats , takes a week or so to do this , put marbles in a pan or box , spread them out , spray them all in a couple of hours , turn them over and spray the other side let dry .
do this many times until the balls fit tight in the cylinder or barrel .
i really like the spray paint method , i did this to 6mm airsoft as well , steel bb's and all types of pellets as well because tighter fitting ammo works better !!!
now with .50 cal markers , 12.5 mm glass that has been sprayed 5 to 7 times makes them 12.7 or 8 very easily , makes a better seal so all of air is used to push them out of barrel .
i have been doing mods and less lethal stuff then most people have lived in this modern time LOL ....
back to .68 cal , i take thin strips of scotch tape to put on the red devastator rounds to make sure they stay in cylinder because they fit loosely . i do the same thing to aluminum balls , this works well !!!
clear paint works well too if you prefer to use that .!
now back to airguns , spraypainting .172 steels bb's a few times makes em safer to shoot in .177 barrels ,makes for a more powerful shot , also does wonders in airsoft too , i hope this helps with this small problem my AWESOME BROTHER and great show my friend !!!!

Thank you. Not sure, but its a Umarex product so I guess it can be imported to the US.🤔

A patch might help. I have shot marbles in my HDR68 using a patch. Works great 😃

Hi brother. These things are not accurate. I can hit a beercan at ca 10 yards if Iam lucky. But thight fitting ammo seems to give the best accuracy
@@runerebel8441 and it wouldn't be a fault with the gun? I've had many different air rifles and pistols over the years none as bad as this.
