Pure gold from John about his experiences with Tchad Blake. I'm listening to Sam Phillips' "Cruel Inventions" right now after listening to JP's comments about this inflection point in Tchad's mixing career. Basically the intersection of Bob Clearmountains influence as TB was starting to refine his sonic "vision". I would never have found this recording otherwise. What a mix....! Can't wait for the Eric Valentine session. Enjoy your time off Andrew and thanks mucho for providing this continuing archive of the masters of mixology. BTW...who's going to interview Andrew for this series. I'd push for Greg Wells...
Lot's of; energy, insights, anecdotes, tech, respect paying, funny, curiosity. Maybe it's just me, but I love it
I learned about earth day on earth day, trippi! Thank you all I have learned so much!
Sorry to keep repeating myself, but this was very enjoyable! Loved to hear about assisting jobs.
and We wish we could read this indefinitely haha thank you for the kind words!
I have flipped a snare over and played on the bottom head but i have never taken the top head off and played it like that..gonna try that now
Have fun let us know your thoughts Chris!!
Wow, This is so great. Really inspirational.
Excellent! thanks for the kind Jeffrey :p
Paterno is SO right!! The phase damage that M/S stuff makes the music unlistenable if used beyond 3 or 4 percent.
Party on, Garth!
