The work and sound (especially the drums) Steve did on Simple Minds' "Sparkle In The Rain" album is quite simply AMAZING and IMO defined the band's sound (and perhaps even a whole genre's sound) for years!!!
VSO is on REAPER!! Reaper has had normal tape machine style vari-speed of + or - 50% right smack on the front page! It has been there for years. So I ALWAYS keep a copy of Reaper on my computer for this reason
I love Lillywhite's hearty laugh. I find it sad that people like him and Lanois seem to have taken themselves out of the game. I'm sure there are artists out there who would still love to work with them.
