The current Major Order is confusing, and just took a dramatic turn. A new patch went live to fix old issues, with stability and crashes as the main point. Arrowhead just hit us with 6 new Tier 5 Ship Upgrades, and some of these are stout...but very pricey.

I hate how I've wasted thousands of samples because of the sample cap then after months of being capped I can only buy 1 upgrade😂😢

Cap for Medals make sense, because if you don't play for a month you get so many by doing nothing. But for samples we really have to grind... It's probably so people cant save up and buy everything at once, so they have something to do but man..
That upgrade to the Mortar cannons should be called "Screw that one guy in particular!"

The description is a bit misleading though. It just shaves 3 secs, as it still takes 3 to 4 secs for it to travel from your ship to the ground.
And if its during a 50% strat interference planet modifier, its like 33% instead.

The sample math is stupid. Now I have enough super samples to get almost all of them but only enough rares for one.

They did not fix the infinite loading screen issue. I had it happen twice this morning after the update.

Hell pod patch is still not fixed. Happened twice to me today. No hell pod camo.
The precision strike is rapidly becoming the best stratagem for offense, and the instant deployment of support stratagems means you can use them as a weapon in a pinch.
Expendable anti-tank might become a three-shot weapon, if you drop it on a charger or bile Titan or a big bot.
It’s always been good against chargers like that if you can get it to stick. The blue targeting beam will track moving enemies if it sticks to em

why defend x45 when you can stop the whole invasion by capturing the planet where the invasion is coming from. I don't get it why people split; Meissa was already at about 40% with less than 24h left for liberation
It's because people are DUMB
What we need is an acting commander to steer the masses in the right direction
Due to the liberation points and the percentage lost per hour of a planet, these two factors make liberation slower than defense. It's much more feasible to defend the planet.
We'll be going back and forth until Meissa is liberated. At the rates, ignoring the defenses would actually be a bad idea
@@Aldritch9183 absolutely no! It will always take at least 24h until we lose a planet. When the liberation planet has only 21h left with 40% of the possible people (look the stats in the video) it is always best idea to liberate the planet where the attack comes from.
@@Aldritch9183that's absolutely wrong. You liberate the attacking planet, you now have both planets. You defend only, and you still have to hammer through that attacker's decay rate to make progress (defense success by itself gets you nothing you didn't have before).
We're more than capable of taking a planet at 40% in less time than it takes to defend the planet it's attacking.
And, since we only did the defense of X-45, Meissa is now attacking Wasat, which we wouldn't have to be defending right now if we'd taken Meissa
Sometimes, it's better to focus the defense, but most of the time, if liberating the attacker is possible, that's the better route since it actually gives us progress, while defense just holds the line
i did say a while back that it would be nice if our turrets focused their fire on our pings, nice to see that that is finally happening.
also, the number of samples needed for the latest batch of upgrades... like, zoinks, Scoob!
and sadly, the infinite drop pod glitch is still a thing.

@@melon9680 on July 4th, Arrowhead added new ship upgrades for every category, each one costs over 200 common, 200 rare, and 20 or more Super samples, and 30k or more credits. one of the upgrades allows your mortar turrets to target whatever enemy unit you ping.
Next upgrades will require 300 Rare Samples with 250 cap
I'm a 380 guy, gotta get that 10% increase in blast radius first for sure

@@rvril They have claimed to fix it three times now. Two of those were after they stated that they would actually test stuff before releasing updates. There are no excuses at that point.

SPM was working when they fixed it some time ago, but around 3 weeks ago it stopped working after one of their patches.
Everyone i played with had it unlocked and no matter who called the Supplies down I would only get partial ammo (HMG/Autocanon). It started working again prior to July 1st for my HMG but sometimes i'd notice allies who had the auto canon would only get half.
Also, when it was working fine it didn't matter at the time who had it unlocked, because there was a point where I was the only one who had it and I still got full ammo.
I picked up the Support Weapon reload upgrade. I use the HMG a lot and any time reducing the reload time is more time I can run and gun with it. I plan on getting the 5% all stratagem CD upgrade next and then eagle re-arm. the 5% and re-arm time reduction of 10% would mean almost 20 seconds off that time. if you take multiple eagle strats you are incentivized to re-arm to maintain uptime between breaches and bot drops.
Personally. Probably the eagle as mostly because of the way I run my loadouts. Auto cannon and primary to deal with the vast majority of enemies while eagles for thinning numbers or taking out objectives. Yes the cool down can be a tad annoying when you run out of a specific armament. However the sheer amount of hate I can call down range in such a short amount of time. Especially when not near mountains is beyond useful. My usual practice is take out objective(s) and while on route to the next send eagle one back to rearm. Mixed well enough with my preference for stealth.
I bought 5% reloading of all stratagems. But forgot to read about RELOADING, not cooldowning of heavy guns. Damn, i so love my recoiless rifle. With this upgrade it can be very strong.
The HMG reload is so damn fast now :D
Visibility seems way better than warzone 3. Doesnt seem to have any forced anti-aliasing. 🍓🌺
I got 3 of these already! Been grinding! Got quicker reload time, bigger orbital explosion radius and sentry targeting and let me tell you it’s sick!!!! If you got a mortar out just tag enemies creeping on you and it instantly targets them!! Even if it’s already targeting other enemies it switches to priority!! 😎

I've had max samples for the past 2 months it feels like. So glad I have something to grind for again.
Payroll Management System looks to me the best because you benefit from it the most when playing I think.. So I'll go for that as my 1st unlock..
I can see adv crew training being good for ppl that bring multiple eagle strikes in
Anyone noticed that railcannon strike doubles up if there's a large target nearby? Initially I just thought it was someone else dropping one at the same time and didn't really notice. Next time I was alone and running from two flame hulks, dropped it and heard two strike sounds - both of them were toast. Might be a glitch but it's fun if so:)
Guess no one reads the FINE PRINT on the Major Orders anymore, its says "planet must be under super earth control when order expires".
Side note, live feeds show 26k divers on X45 and we are absolutely CRUSHING IT on that defense campaign.
Yeah idk where he got the idea that the M/O was a poorly worded way of saying to take the planets around it. If you read the order it essentially says liberate and hold X45. Liberating the planets surrounding it will only help, but has nothing to do with the M/O. And the whole "we're getting out asses kicked" thing as if it X45 hadn't come under attack 27 mins before he recorded that. 50% of divers were still in their previous mission on other planets and had no clue
@@2iqplays Probably because it has BEEN liberated the whole time since the order was issued. So it is a LITTLE confusing to the people who DON'T READ the fine print.
But yeah its basically a "hold this planet till the MO expires" kind of thing.

Considering my go-to is an Autocannon, Eagle Cluster, Eagle Rockets, and Orbital Rail/Laser, Im gonna be going for the Eagle Reload first, then Support Reload, then Support Call-In, then Mortar Targeting, since I sometimes mix things up and use Mortars. Orbitals will wait for last since the only Orbitals I use aren't covered here
You say it has nothing to do with the effects, but in world, those strats are loaded by the crew and sent down to you. Increased morale means harder and faster workers.
A nice addition to the ship, in my opinion, would be a trophy room. Like a hall with models of all the enemies you can look at with a description of the enemy, maybe kill 100 of an enemy type and get their trophy or something and it would double as a bestiary.
The mortar one is by far the most appealing to me. I want to use it offensively against bases and holes... ;D

Been capped on samples for a while and was able to buy 1 upgrade. I played for 2 hours yesterday and was still 100 rare samples away from my next upgrade. It’s such a grind.
That crossplatform upgrade needs to work on autocannons too. Im so tired of my cannons trying to shoot some little drone at point blank rather than the bile titan coming for us.
New modules? How are they gonna add more when the ones they have are still having glitches/issues? Two steps forward one step back
They have to, either that or lift the sample caps. People (like me) are capped out on everything and lost interest.

@@joshfrantz1263 That's the crux of this issue. There are too many problems. With every new fix comes new issues that make it seem like the problem was shifted, not fixed. This will only drag the game down if it continues. Which would suck, because I had plenty of fun before all these "fixes" came in
Check that 380 radius damage now. Its a huge buff. Easily wipes heavy bases and you should trigger a bot drop from within the base too then throw the 380.
Itll wipe both the bot base and the drop at the same time EASILY.

buff amounts like 5 and 10% don't look/feel like much, even if some are because of a long base time. Would prefer much larger percentages than that though for these to feel like they mean much.
I literally just got stuck in an endless drop animation a few hours ago. The issue, unsurprisingly, has not been eliminated.

Idk if this will help you at all, but for me whenever I'm having this issue, restarting my PC fixes it. There is almost certainly a better way to fix it, but this is just the simplest method I've found that works for me.
The immediate secondary drop makes the EAT even better.
We need to be vigilant. Those buffs feel like a game where you get full health JUST before a huge boss fight.
By the time we get some done, we will face an equalizer.

The issue with this major order is that people don’t know we can prevent and attack into the MO planet by taking other planets. Yeah the people are dedicated to defending X45 but we’ll never get Meissa. Taking that would have been strategically better because any attack that has to go to our important planet has to go through Meissa, essentially winning us 24 hours at minimum.
If we hold Meissa we can completely defend X45 and gain new territory. It’s better than defending one planet, and it should be communicated better in game
Those 2 cooldowns are gonna stack for 15 precent cooldown on egals tgen everyone gonna try to get it
Why is it nobody’s talking about how quick the mortar fires now?
I'm going for the turret upgrade for sure. Turrets in some situations are more reliable than helldivers themselves.

Apparently the modifier that increases the call down time still affects the support weapons dropping down even with that upgrade. Something like 4 sec to drop without the modifier to 7 seconds when you have that modifier.
Doesn't makes sense as to why it does that since the upgrade implies that it just gets launched immediately from the ship.
It isn't like there's some increased air drag being applied to the pod dropping down. This makes it sound like it's a bug

Bigger explosions, yes please. Second I'm getting is the instant call in for support weapons. Totally going to use the drop pod to kill some chargers and bile titans with that one

This is all dope, however if more samples are required of me more holding space is also required. We would have to nearly cap out to get one upgrade at this point
For the first upgrade pick, you gotta go with 5% reload to all stratagems, right? Can't beat something that will always help you.
These new ship upgrades will hold the line 4 now, they do make the ship look even cooler. New planet Biomes is my top ask right now. Or get something to use those comps across from armory.
After the patch I spent 2 hours trying to get into missions and I got into 3. The rest would crash or get stuck in the loading screen. Oddly 2 of the 3 I did get into the mission was over and I just dropped in on pelican 1 and hopped on the extract...
Will say this for anyone else on pc that is dealing with this I fixed it by going into properties and validated the files. One file had to be replaced and then everything worked as intended

I worked so so hard to unlock all the ship modeled after playing for more than 2 months. I unlocked all just a day ago. I woke up this morning to find that they added even more, I was just about to start relaxing about samples, not anymore

Looking at the defense campaign, the new modules have a bunch of divers motivated! Hopefully, we can push beyond and capture Meissa I started a run thair in the morning just because it looks like the defense will be long done before I get home from work!
I recently posted a vid on my channel 15 seconds long that is a horrible visual bug related to explosive ragdolling in first person that causes your camera to be sent somewhere in the sky while the diver is still alive on the ground. You have to switch weapons and toggle first person and maybe it’ll come back, but it doesn’t always work. This has been happening since release, I just had it happen again on current patch about 20 minutes ago. This can happen from your own explosions or enemy’s, so this can just happen at random from engaging a fight against rocket devastators.
I can reproduce it most easily by aiming down sights first person and sent ragdolling while starting to dive
I did the PAC upgrade first, cuz faster reloads sound great, plus the cosmetic upgrade to my destroyer is cool too. Next, I'll probably go for the Mortar Targeting
This current MO is just frustrating. Mainly in that it really shows just how much of the player base actually pays attention to what's going on. Most see "Defend X-45" and then see it's not actively being attacked and thus just don't care anymore until it gets attacked. We really shouldn't have lost Wezen, would have been so much easier to take Varylia. Least we're actively taking Meissa at the moment. The player base as a whole is very reactive but not very proactive as it currently stands.
What i'd wish for is the credits being usable to buy samples, not a lot but right now they just feel kinda useless.

I went for 1. Payroll Management System, 2. Morale Augmentation and now I'm working on 3. Advanced Crew Training. Now for me, personally, 10% reduction in cool down is HUGE, because I use Eagles a lot, like a lot A LOT lol.
We don’t need anyone on X-45 though wym??? Go take Meissa and it’ll auto complete X-45. They put supply lines in game but we’re not using them.
The Eagles one should have allowed you to call 2 Eagles at once. I would have gotten it first. As is, it will be last.
So far I got the orbital 10% and the immediate call down. Love them both
hell they need a tracking software thing for the cannon turret as well so it doesnt shoot a just buildings......
I hope they add some bonuses/effects for helmets and/or capes in the future. Like increased “radar” to spot samples in the field. They kinda feel redundant to equip apart from the looks.
I'm thankful they fixed the SPEAR, it's so incredibly useful against automatons now. Can destroy fabricators in one hit, same for cannon towers and even tanks if you hit the right angle.
I just wish we'd get some damage boosts on guns. The amount of mobs are too many for focus fire to matter unless you only use Machine guns as primaries. And i like to use all guns rather than having to priorities when doing anything higher than challenging difficulty.
Payroll Management System for me...
I heavily use the Spear and the HMG and both have long reload times.
High-Density Explosives, imo, is cool but I dont use those often enough.
Advanced Crew Training will be the last I unlock
Morale Augmentation would be second or third, depending if the mortar pinging actually works great.
Streamlined Launch Process, for me, is rather useless. I rarely die and I dont use EATs so having immediate deployment is rarely an issue.
Cross-Platform Compatibility, as mentioned, will either be 2nd or 3rd.
FINALLY new ship modules...... Been maxed on samples for months.... Only wish added increase on samples cap BEFORE these came out though as I've "WASTED" hundreds of thousands of samples "collected" that I didn't get to keep

brother it says an additional 10% CD on eagles, so if you use the strafing run (5uses) which is pretty good now. You get a 20% CD reduction after 4 uses. i think that's very good. add in the extra 5% for free on top of it? eagles are gonna be flying all the time.
Yeah if you just bring multiple eagles with a high-use one in the mix it could be pretty powerful

what are you saying just 10% of what?? we have 2 ship modules that reduce by 10% they wont just cancel each other out. also the upgrade effect clearly states IN GAME "eagle rearm is FURTHER reduced by 10%" that would imply its an additive to something else. maybe because we already have a rearm CD module??? jesus...

The new eagle upgrade might be amazing if you run Cluster Bombs + 500kg or something similar if it means that the 500kg will be reloaded 10% faster as long as there is one use left of the other eagle weapon
I'd probably pair it with rocket pods & 500 kg. 3 & 2 allows a 2 & 2 use and manually rearm with 1 rocket pod left.

The major order is only confusing for people who lack basic reading comprehension. Hold until x date. In this game's terms, that means if we already have liberated it, it is going to come under a few defense campaigns. If you're brand new, fine, but people complain about this every time and can't seem to figure it out.
Weapon Reload is great! That with PP and auto cannon. Auto Cannon feels like a primary
AMR reloads might get faster than switching weapons.
Maybe level 40somethings will stop running by samples as if theyre already fully upgraded.
If that stratagem works as we think it might, the EATs is gonna be even more deadly if you can weaponize the drop hehe ~
Wait can someone clarify on the SPM ship module, so basically whoever has the module AND calls down the supply will cast the full ammo effect on the 4 supply boxes and whoever consumes one of those boxes will get that full ammo effect?
This sounds like how it should work, but I just played a game where the guy who had SPM called a resupply and it didn't fully reload my support weapon. Wouldn't be surprised if it was just another bug.
There should have been a way to trade samples for medals or credits.
Hopefully now i wont get blown up by other people’s mortars as often anymore 🤣. Those things are darn annoying. Need to stay far away from any enemies just not to get blown up by friendly.
I always ask people to take off mortars on bug missions because you never know when a bug could sneak up behind you and trigger the mortar to commit die at you.

The prices on those new modules are ridicules for very minor buffs
I misread the support weapon one I thought it was cooldown not reloqd speed, that's huge though
I'm hoping they eventually remove having to wait for the EAT sight to pop out before you can fire it though, I get the having to pull the back of it out when you pick it up but that + waiting for the sight is just annoying
