- In this very special episode of My Otaku Twin Sister, Tara and Tammy both have some revelations about their identities while watching an episode of Sailor Moon...
So, in case it wasn't clear, Tammy and Tara are canonically bi and ace respectively. And I am bi-ace myself (biromantic graysexual, technically.)
After I got the idea for this episode several months ago, I learned about that sitcom idea someone on tumblr had had a while ago called "All or Nothing" about roommates who are ace and pan (in my view, pan and bi are the same and I use the terms interchangeably, but it was specifically "pansexual" in the tumblr post) and that so many people wished such a webseries existed....well, it does now!
Since this is in the style of a late-90's sitcom and since the girls are both still a bit in the questioning phase, (and since education on sexuality SUCKED back then…and now, tbh) I didn't have them use the proper terms to describe themselves, but know that I wasn't omitting that to be sly or to queer bait.
They are bi and ace. And so am I. Happy Pride!

🥳🎉
There actually is a webseries with that title, Sarah Z made a great video about it
@@NeelLLumi-AnCatDubh I know - I saw it! I don't think that series is currently ongoing, though.
It was pretty clear. Happy Pride!
This is better than half the stuff on paid streaming platforms
congrats on coming out and happy pride!! also i like how the two sisters experience being bi-ace differently.
Yeah, Tammy is allo and Tara might be aro (not sure yet), so they are a bit different from me.
My eyes are sweaty for some reason, Oh nooo
(i wish there was a sitcom like that when i was younger, it would have been a big comfort to see characters that are also asexual)
If this was an actual sitcom that aired in the 90's, the controversy this episode would have gotten would've been insane. :p
Tara's reveal that she's not sexually attracted to people hit hard. I wish I had that as an teen when I was younger. Society still has that "Men in their 30's who can't get laid are inferior!" stigma that ace men like me face.
You really nailed the 90's goth-punk aesthetic with Belgian girl's bob cut.
I haven’t had a crush for like, 14 years. Lol I’m only just realizing recently I’m probably asexual. I don’t know, it’s kind of confusing? I relate to Tara.
Also, I think it’s really cute your husband does these with you.
I have to beg. He hates going outside and it was 90+ degrees when we filmed that. 😅
I *literally* paused and rewinded just to say the speech with her : あらたなじだいにさそわれて
セーラーウラヌス かれいにかつやく・・・(Coolness overload)
Like Usagi-chan, Tammy writes everything in hiragana ! ❤️
This totally deserves to go viral.
This. was. so. sweet.
Thank you, Sarah !
This was cute! I love how they handled their conversation with each other too :) Happy Pride!
I lol'd at a lesbian 15. I feel like they could have done an episode like this of Liv and Maddie on Disney. The main actress came out this year.
Congrats in coming out! It took the loss of my last romantic relationship to fully accept that I was Ace, though I had suspected of being somewhere on the spectrum before. I'm still close friends with my last romantic partner, and have no ill will. I'm happier than I've ever been as genderqueer and Asexual! I'm glad you've found a similar understanding of yourself, all through the lense of cheesy sitcom logic.
I wish you nothing but happiness going forwards ^_^
I just love this! 💖
Also, the “lesbian 15” joke was clever. 😂
Not my joke, actually. 😅 I never watched Ellen (the 90's sitcom) but I do remember she came out on that show in the late 90's. Some of my friends were talking about it and there was that exact joke...so it's technically an homage.
@@PrettyTranslatorSarahMoon I was born in the 90s so her show was before my time. Haha 😅 tbh I only recently learned she had her own show. I knew it was a big deal she came out but I didn’t know she had a show until like, a few months ago. (Well, the one in the 90s)
Sometimes a joke is too good not to use again. Lmao
