I do my PPL out of Exeter and work as Ground Crew there. This scenery is pretty impressive. The only few things I can criticise are the occasional misplace of some hangars and buildings along with some inaccuracies of stand numbers and aircraft on the south apron. Apart from that, the signs, the terminal and the air ambulance hangar - all spot on. Very nice video too.
Cheers man 👍 glad you enjoyed the video and I'm working on some more freeware videos soon, just got more cinematic videos to create. For a freeware it's pretty amazing, Aerosoft offer a payware Exeter which I've heard isn't as good but I'd like to compare the both and see which one is better. Thank you for watching, appreciate the comment too 👍
Love how Spud has placed some (not all) of the vehicles facing each it adds a nice sense of randomness and its just one of those small details that adds to the immersion. I really appreciate the attention to detail and effort, Well done
Absolutely, it would be easy to just copy and paste loads of objects but you can see the hard work that has gone into placing the different objects into relevant places. Brilliant work! Hope you enjoyed the video, thank you for watching and leaving a comment. All the best
I absolutely agree with this! I have just purchased an airport scenery from a highly regarded developer and publisher and it is terrible, I won't name and shame but I may do a video on it. I'm pretty sure it is just a P3D scenery that has been made compatible for MSFS with no upgrades, just a straight up port.
This appeared just before I was going to bed but had to watch! Great job, Brian and thanks for covering my local airport. Up to now I only fly VFR in the Cessna's and all of my journeys start and end here, so it's the starting point for every adventure and then the welcome return home, my little Bag End in the Shire! You did a fantastic job highlighting all the major areas. I think it's one of Superspud's bests, it's so good that it would take a payware developer of the quality of Pilot Plus to surpass it, which is possibly why nobody has taken it on yet!
My pleasure Kevin, I had a good time exploring this and knew before installing it that Spud would no doubt have made this a great scenery. I must admit I'm always thinking of learning a new aircraft like the BAe 146 or bigger jets but this sim is just to good for VFR and GA, I can't wait for Just Flight to release their PA-38. I've noticed payware devs tend to be really respectful of any freeware that's out there, for example I've seen requests on Burning Blue Discord for the likes of Compton Abbas and Adam has said no as the freeware one is amazing. Cheers for staying awake and giving this a watch, got more to come and hope you enjoy it mate. All the best 👍
@@PracticallyAviation Yeah Compton Abbas is another nice freeware. Looking forward to Biggin Hill this week, and I know BBD are working on Goodwood and Redhill. I'm particularly interested in Redhill as I watch a lot of the Flying Reporter's videos on Yotube, most of his trips in his Piper Arrow he departs from Redhill, so once they have released that I will be able to recreate most of his domestic flights. Might even buy the Piper Arrows then from Just Flight to up the immersion!
@@kevinbrook7033 I'm looking forward to getting my Biggin Hill video out later this week. Yeah I'm excited about BBD next airfields, the Goodwood race track will be interesting and I mentioned on their Discord that a few Piper PA-38 are based their and Just Flight have one coming out, hopefully they will release it before Goodwood. The Just Flight PA-28 is amazing, I've had it since release.
The default msfs airports are remarkable for what they are but ultimately feel a bit sterile. The way some of these excellent freeware creators such as Superspud are able to breath life into them is amazing. Also your efforts in putting these videos together is much appreciated, the before and after comparisons are great.
I agree so much, default airports seem to be getting better with more updates the sim gets, better airport data and more free handcrafted sceneries but there is nothing better than seeing an airport rendered as it is in real life. It's such a massive gesture for developers to give us their sceneries for free, I always try and mention that people try their best to give a small donation but ultimately I know these Devs will end up with a team or starting their own dev business making paid scenery. NZA are a good example for this, their freeware was and still is amazing, they ended up producing some of the best paid add-ons I've seen and are now working along side Sergio Del Rosso who also created stunning freeware. Take a look at my Samedan Airport video from him, he did an amazing job. Glad you enjoyed the video and thank you for leaving a comment, all the best :)
I've liked and hearted this comment but I don't know if it's a compliment or a dig at my accent and location 🤔 anyway I hope you enjoyed it and it wasn't too funny although I do like to keep it casual and have a joke about some odd things in the scenery.
Excellent video and an excellent add-on , And...if that isn't worthy of payware i dunno what is! What an awesome job by Supspud again ,amazing to see the differences and the amount of work and research gone into it , talking of research thanks for the info on the Red arrows aircraft hiding in the corner! 😀 Well done for another great presentation 👍
Thank you so much! Absolutely, I'd love to see some of the top freeware devs do some premium versions and charge say £5-10 as I believe they would sell. I've started to make sure my videos have some information in, researching building names and knowing the general area of each airports makes for better presentation I feel. Hopefully if Superspud ever adds to this scenery he could add in that Red Arrow. Thank you so much for watching, all the best 👍
Agreed! Amazing transformation and well done to Spud for this scenery. Glad you enjoyed it Robert, thank you for watching and leaving a comment. All the best buddy!
Cheers Geoffrey, trying my best to keel these videos a consistent quality and having a regular upload schedule of about 1 every few days, 3-4 a week ideally. Thank you for watching, all the best buddy 👍
I'm astonished. My local airport, having flown from it occasionally, and driven past it often. The only thing that seems to be missing is the small scattering of private aircraft on the grass outside the terminal building, used by the flying clubs. All that's missing is a slight tweaking of grubbiness and litter, with better trees and bushes.
Hopefully Superspud isn't finished with this one and can further add to his amazing work. Another developer may have a go at doing it or I'd personally like to see freeware developers such as Superspud create premium versions of their sceneries and charge a small fee for them . Massive thank you for watching and leaving a comment, more from my channel to come and I hope you enjoy. All the best 👍

I love spuds work spesh the Liverpool area. I wish he would give Warton a descent field. Based in Blackpool loving the NW flying in VFR in VR, I have I suppose I have nearly everything he has made and its top quality.
I must admit he is only one of a few developers paid and free that creates sceneries for North and South, Warton would be amazing I agree because his Blackpool Airport freeware is great, I may end up doing a video on that actually. I remember always visiting Blackpool Airport as a child to see the Vulcan Bomber outside the gates, not sure where it moved too that particular aircraft 🤔 Thank you so much for watching and leaving a comment, all the best buddy 👍
@@PracticallyAviation Hi, I moved up from Norfolk in 2005 Although originally from just outside of Liverpool just in time to see the vulcan get scrapped and now the airport is trying to spring into life with a lot of biz jets on an almost daily schedule popping in so it may spring to life again, there are plans to get it going after the Balfour Beatty debacle. Anyhoo if he can do a Warton I would be willing to pay for his handywork. Three greens bud.

SuperSpud could teach some of the payware developers a thing or two about night lighting and airport detailing!
I absolutely agree with this! I have just purchased an airport scenery from a highly regarded developer and publisher and it is terrible, I won't name and shame but I may do a video on it.
