Thanks for this. I did not realise Exeter had a viewing area. When I was a kid (45 + years ago) I would jump on the green-line bus at the Old Kent Road in Peckham for the two-hour ride to Heathrow with an enormous airwave radio and a spotters book, sarni's and juice. I'd get home about 12 hours later, happy if I'd spotted a few Boeing 727s. I think I need to introduce my grandson to this hobby - with a pocket-sized radio.
Your welcome, it's a great viewing area looking at the airfield, just to let you know this was viewed in the airport car park at number 4. It's a good hobby to do.
@@BensPlanesTrainsProductions When I saw it go overhead it looked like an a320 because it wasn't a turboprop and it have winglets that looked like a a320 series
Aer Lingus don't have any A320's that's Winglets in its fleet. Over Newton Abbot is the flight path for planes coming in or going out towards Spain on route to Bristol and further afield and also for flights coming from Ireland.
And this is why Exeter will always be the Capital of the West Country, Until Plymouth reopen their Airport that lots of Brown Envelopes stop changing hands lmfao

Nice video Ben!! Nice mix of GA and Airliners!! Did you hear about Aer lingus operating an a320 from there to Dublin! Started of Thursday I think,
Appreciate the comment bud. I've not been aware of a Aer Lingus A320 operating to Dublin from Exeter.
@@BensPlanesTrainsProductions Yeah it started last week saw one fly above me on Saturday at Newton Abbot while I was waiting for the Duchess
That route from Exeter to Dublin won't have been an A320, that been a turboprop aircraft ATR72 operating the route.

Plymouth won't open again, the land is being used as houses there now. There's no space to make a new airport. Exeter will be the spot in Devon.
