I was on an Air Canada A320 landing Calgary with crosswinds. It felt like we were coming down a boulder strewn mountain on a sled sideways. Half the passengers were screaming, some silent, and quite a few laughing believe it or not. Nervous laughs for sure. When I got off I poked my head into the flight deck and thanked the pilots. The Captain smiled and said, "Yeah, I was just thanking someone too"
I will never understand how a 400+ ton fully loaded jet doesn't cause the rubber tires to burst on touchdown, which could conceivably place a 150% or 600+ ton load on those tires. How is that even possible?
@@jlockwood65 It's a pretty common aircraft type for us, we operate 127 of them. It appears your family is very well acquainted with aviation, that's very cool. I have visited the Everett, Wash. location many times. 8-)
@@jlockwood65 You're very welcome... I'm pretty sure no DC-9's or 10's are flying passengers today. That's an old bird, built in the 60's in Long Beach, CA. There are however, a few of both that are still in service in the cargo industry, especially the DC-10. FedEx has a few that I know of...
Actually no. Cross wind you need to keep the upwind wing low. I would like to see more of the after touchdown. You are working the rudder one direction to keep her aligned with the center of the runway kick it straight then hold the rudder the opposite direction you were holding it for flight. (Wind acting opposite on the tail when on the ground)
BHX Birmingham, you can see Fort Dunlop in the background to the North, and the high rise flats to the south. Birmingham's runway is notorious for high winds
Some amazing and well executed approaches and landings from what I can see. Some shook up passengers on a few of them I would think. Especially the first one of the A380. Man does that thing swerve a few times after touchdown.
Anybody know what that craft was that made the most appearances? It was a twin engine turboprop high wing with the high horizontal stabs? Just curious.
Why don't they stick a landing gear wheel at the back like at the front. Surely that would stabilise better plus less chance of a wing strike or am I being stupid.
What a great video of the amazing plane landing during the crosswinds!! I would be scared beyond measure! Jesus take the wheel and please land us safely!! I know we all have to see You one day but not today nor this way please!! I ask in the mighty name of God, the Father; Jesus, the Son; and the Holy Spirit!! 😂😆😄🙏🙏🙏
Impressive, but how about the incredible engineering of airplane tires and the stress and abuse they take every landing. How do they not explode into a million pieces upon touchdown?

Lol awesome story
Must have been back in the day, when you actually COULD poke your head in the flight deck lol
would have punched those overdramatic pricks screaming...
@user-mt4zr5kp7h just got off a flight in Australia. Deck is open getting on and off. Sometimes the pilot is there to greet you.
These pilots have some crazy skills. My hats off to them. Damn.
Cool video, but no need to photoshop the thumbnail pic with an obviously fake and doctored photo.

ACTUALLY IT DID HAPPEN PEOPLE IN A DIFFERENT VIDEO
Harley Rucas shut the up
@@PenguiNachos128 YOU SHUT THE FUCK UP
Lmao😂😂
Never seen anyone tokyo drift an A380 until today 😂
I have, but seeing it again is sort of like... deja vu.

I bet they slammed down on Gas gas gas.
Those pilots must have a lot of experience flying sideways. Great job.
Mos def. I drive professionally and I've got a lot of experience doing it sideways so, makes sense.
00:21 I like how in the back you can see an emergency vehicle already on the way, just in case.
It is only a safety car
Ikr lol
I felt every single one of those landings.......great video.
Yesss another video!😃

Ryan Air: Amateurs, have you seen our landings yet?
I'm surprised there aren't more accidents, these guys are seriously skilled.
It would've been nice to see and hear passengers reaction on that a380.
Fernando Salas you’re a psycho no offence
Is it me or when you go on a plane your scared your going to crash? 😂
I'm not scared. You're safer in a plane than you are in your car driving down the road.
Cool video
WOW! that first landing was putting the gear *through it* nicely engineered!
I work on these babies every day, they are truly incredible machines.

And yet the nose-wheel always seems to touchdown on the centre line.....

Me: sees thumbnail
Also me: this guys has good editing skills
Spectacular of them all. I always say that these pilots are doing a great job of flying that plane.
Great video captures!
I would be freaking out if I was one of the cars on the road. 😮😂
Pretty much ryanair do crosswind landings all the time even on not a windy day
🙌🙌🙌
What a great 👨✈️
You dad entered that flight white...he came out blue 😂
Very scary stuff ✈️
Incredibly dangerous. I will like video
@5:44 imagine sitting on the right side of the plane, and seeing the ENTIRE runway!!! These pilots are Bad Ass!!!
4:47 is a crazy angle!
OMG we all put our lives in their hands, and what skill they have
02:25 anyone know what airport this is? The same one comes up several times.
Maybe Düsseldorf because it's clips from Cargospotter and he spots mostly there.
BHX Birmingham, you can see Fort Dunlop in the background to the North, and the high rise flats to the south. Birmingham's runway is notorious for high winds
I couldn’t be a pilot . Flying in the pitch black and making crazy landings . No thanks, props to y’all pilots
These pilots have balls of steel...no titanium...wait maybe diamonds cuz those are toughest!
I get air sick just watching these.
The thrill of flight
None of these are dangerous, pretty textbook Ryanair ™ landings
Damn that A380 the wind must be hard
That's got to be the best pilot I've ever seen!
...so it would seem
Must have had some nasty cross winds.
Skilled pilots. We need them.
0:03 move to the left move to the right criss cross

Wow thats some drifting landings
That is some skill right there.

What plane was the KLM Asia?
Mad respect to commercial pilot’s

Small or big plane in those conditions?.... What would you prefer??
Everyone is a driving/riding god till they watch some drift a damn plane!
nobody:
youtube: 0:02 how to drift a plane
I bet almost every one of the passenger seats were brown after those landings...
This is how RyanAir pilots land, even when there is no wind
These are very skilled pilots so this is not a funny comment
That purple plane 1:40 look like being lowered by wire.

The Dash 8 Q400
Great pilots!
What’s the model name of the prop planes in the video

Yeah, just use a still pic from the videos as a thumbnail. It's doesn't have to look ridiculous.
That A380 was the Tokyo drift version
Crazy how heavy these planes are but wind can make him hop around like some toy

Serious finesse used by those pilots. Wow.
u should remove the music bro and add the original sound instead.
It’s probably a bunch of unpleasant wind noise
In 2:53 is that a west jet plane
Was there Düsseldorf?
May be mistaken but many of these are at the same airport
Poetry in motion.
I thought the A380 one was bad and then 4:16 happened 😱😱😱😱🤢
