- For those who don't know, this video is made from x-plane 11. X-plane 11 is the flight simulator, so of course this situation doesn't happen in real life. The plane taxi to the runway from Pane Field airport. It takeoff and lands at the same runway. I am still practicing on my landing still. If you like this video, please like and share. Cheer!!!

В далёком уже 1971г. наблюдал за взлетом и посадкой самолетов в венском аэропорту Швехат. Во-первых, был поражен ритмичностью и четкостью трафика. Выруливает судно на старт и моментально начинает разбег. У нас же тогда был такой порядок: сначала радист (или бортинженер - не помню, кто) зачитывает так называемый поминальник - длинный список проверки состояния систем самолёта, а соответствующий член экипажа отвечает "Готово". Это занимает не менее двух минут. И когда на старт выруливал советский ИЛ-18, в ритме получался сбой. Второе, что бросилось мне в глаза и запало в память, - взлет 747-го. Невероятно динамичный и крутой во всех смыслах. Подобные самолёты тогда к нам не прилетали, да и всегда нам внушалось: советское - самое лучшее. А тут все было в сравнении.

The sad thing is something very similar actually did happen at Haneda Airport. A Dash 8 Coast Guard plane turned onto the runway just as a JAL A350 was touching down. All 379 passengers and crew aboard Flight 516 from Hokkaido made it out without major injuries, quite miraculously, but of the six service officers on the military plane (which was to bring supplies to quake-stricken Ishikawa), only the captain survived. Apparently a contributing factor was that the runway approach lights indicating "wait" or "turn onto runway for takeoff" were not operational. So, always look both ways whenever you plan to cross the street, folks!

It takes a plane almost 12 minutes to take off. It starts slow and when it hits the run way it goes faster and than lift off. This is accurate. I video our takeoff yesterday.
The hot air coming from the engines visualized by blur effect looks so unreal.

I was on a 747-400 back in the mid-90's making a short jump between Rio and Sao Paulo, Brazil before heading back to the US during a nice tropical storm. Apparently the pilot grew tired of all the lightning and turbulence...so he throttled up and put us in ~45+/- degree climb to get over and out of the storm cells. My co-worker slept through the whole event. Those folks NOT adhering to that little "Fasten Seatbelt While Seated" sign (light) received a quick lesson as to why they install those things. It was both interesting and sad watching people leaving their seats and making friends with the ceiling.

I have seen a huge military plane actually do this near vertical takeoff at a military air show.
I forget the actual name but it was nicknamed Big Bertha.
There were several rockets on it to aide in propulsion...

Bertha was the Blue Angels' support aircraft. As part of the show, it used JATO (Jet Assisted Take Off) to get in the air on a short runway.
They had me when it flew through the small helicopter. Hella good graphics!

I was most impressed by the actual landscape accuracy of the surround area. I grew up around the Paine Field area and the video was extremely close to reality.

I lived and worked near the Airport when I was in Guam - even saw one of the last flights of the concord. But I do recall the Japanese Airliners doing that vertical take off a lot and I think eventually there were a few crashes resulting from it. Authorities told them to knock it off.

Onde moro é rota de aviões, quando estou em casa fico só admirando e me perguntando: "COMO PODE UNS GIGANTE DESTES VOAREM COMO PENA NO CÉU?".
Não adianta explicações, explicações e mais explicações e nem ninguém vir me dizer que existe milhares de estudos e engenharias que fazer um MONSTRO deste pairar no céu, pois eu sei que existe muito estudo por trás disto, mas é incrível ver isso. Por mais que eu veja e leia, jamais vou conseguir compreender isso, assim como fico pensando como pode navios tão pesados, não afundarem. Existem explicações, mas pra mim é inexplicável. Admiro a coragem de quem voa. Eu não iria nem que pagassem, meu pânico de altura fala mais alto 😮😮.
Mas na vida real é praticamente impossivel fazer uma decolagem vertical dessas sem que o aviao perca o controle e caia, é aviao não foguete kkk

This is why I fly Lufthansa always those pilots are the only ones who can safely execute this maneuver it's great as it always saves me 1.5 hours from the normal flight time.

I love flying...and that turned my tummy, LOL. Just pretending to be a passenger...WOW!!! I had 2 x's in a plane which I will never forget. Once from Nashville, TN to Dallas, TX. The pilot went up too high, so in order to land, had to do 3 HUGE (I called them fall out of the sky drops) plunges to get low enough to land....couldn't prepare us for that one! Also, in Santa Ana, CA when the pilot took off he had to do a U-turn over the ocean to get on course. Well, holy smokes, the left wing was almost pointed to the ground as we circled. I'm so glad no one had anything to eat yet on the plane...cuz it would've been a pukey mess!! 😆

It's AMAZING how realistic computer graphics can be nowadays! I really couldn't tell that it was fake until it made that impossible climb. Although, there was a moment when the plane was taxiing for takeoff when the underbelly of the plane suddenly got darker. Also, the blur around the engines didn't make any sense. I never saw that happen with a real plane.
The first thing I noticed was that there was nothing - no people, cars, etc. - moving anywhere on the ground.

A pretty good simulation, for sure. The most obvious giveaway, though, is that Alaska doesn't fly 747s.

I've seen them do similar flying cargo out of Salt Lake City. The most impressive take off I ever saw was the one with the Space shuttle on its back. We didn't have the longer Runways to the west yet .
