Thank you for this!! My mats get sooo gunky and I would feel tons better if I could clean them at least once in awhile. I'll definitely try the Windex. I've tried the wipes but, like you, I have joint pain and it's just too painful. Thanks again!
I didn't find I needed to! They got nice and sticky again. If your mat totally loses its stick, you can try an adhesive, but I don't love that method because it can gunk up your rollers.
This is definitely an option for some people! I know other folks who have had issues with it gunking up their rollers. But if it works for you go for it!
When i air dry my mats i use one of those pants/slacks hangers that has 4 or 5 rows and i clip one mat per row.
That's a great idea
So surprised by the Windex! I didn't think it would work as well as it did. Thanks for sharing!
Me either! That bottle is now my craft room bottle 😂
Windex! Who knew!?!?! Thanks for the great info 🙂
Happy to help!
Great job. I use wipes after every use to keep it clean. But I have some dirty ones from before and I'm going to try the Windex.
Awesome!
Thanks for the test, I had used the baby wipes but I'm excited to know that Windex works and it's easier on the joints.
Glad to help!

You’re welcome! Joint pain sufferers have to stick together 🤪
I have cleaned my pink mats the same way. No different
Good to know!
Great informative video, thanks so much. My one question if how do you tell which side of the plastic cover is suppose to go down on the mat?
Good question! The correct side sticks a lot better than the wrong side.
I always use a sharpie and write TOP on the top of the cover. Easy peasy to know from then on.
looking forward to trying the Windex --- do you need to spray adhesive on the mats after cleaning

@@HeyLetsMakeStuff thank you - you are probably right about "gunking" up the rollers
It's very easy to re-stick mats with several sticky sprays on the market.

How did I not know all this time that the protective cover sheets have two different sides??? 😅
I've been writing about Cricut for a decade and I just learned it recently!
I don't have a Cricut Mat.
Well then you don't have to worry about them getting dirty!
Brothers. 😂
