I struggled for hours with this, great video but one thing you have to mention... once connected turn gas on at the bottle then wait a minute for it to pressurize before lighting, otherwise you will get a low flame and it will burn out, also make sure to burn off excess gas before disconnect, hope it helps someone

The gas regulator should work with a large tank. However, large tanks may have a different connection fitting than the stove regulator. So you may need to buy the correct adaptor. In my country, most camping stoves & small gas tanks use a 3/8" fitting or (rarer) Primus fitting. Bigger tanks (> 10 pounds) usually have a different fitting.

Can see hose pressurize when I turn valve on tank, but so little gas is coming thru, that won't light. Tried a brand new tank, and still would not work. Got to be a problem with hose... so back to Amazon for another.

And incidently you have to have the colman brand adapter hose or it won't work. I'm not the only one who tried using a different brand then Coleman and ended up not working. I've watched other RUclips videos and one video had an inline regulator, is a regulator necessary?

I don’t think so. There should be a regulator built-in to the stove.

I don’t know. I’ve never tried that, and I don’t have anything to test with.
