My mother used to say “The woman needs to pull the string of honey”. This means that the woman needs to do something to create a sweet trail for a man to follow. Dropping the handkerchief is a good example of this.
It has always been that way and it is even shown in every movie/tv show.. But modern women feel so much entitlet, to even think about what part they could play..
That's so outdated though. Women fought for equality a long time ago, why can't they also be proactive when it comes to dating?

If you're walking somewhere and he happens to around, try subtly walking past him, make sure to have eye contact at some point [smile softly]. If you're in line at a coffee shop, act like you've never gotten anything; ask him what kinda coffee he likes & what he thinks you should get. Make sure to smile and be calm about the encounter. Choose the right guy that you really wanted even if it means that you'll make the first move. Don't settle for someone because you're left with no choice, but be with someone who will make you happy as long as you're able to reciprocate it.
So from now on I'm going to think of men as dresses...I'm not going to wait for the right dress to come to me, I'm going to go through the clothes store, try on dresses until I find the one that I like :) Once again, Matt, your videos always help me! :)
true because I knew I liked this one guy and I wanted him to notice me and he was dating so many girls at that time. I didn't want to chase him, or compete, I wanted to see if he would make a move toward me and he ended up with all of the other girls who did all of the manipulating things to him to get him to notice them.. Go figure.

I've recently rediscovered swing dancing, and those events make it *super* easy to make the first move as a girl. It's a very open culture where both guys and girls go up to each other and ask each other to dance all the time, so it really is like trying on dresses-- I'm trying out different partners (and multiple partners) almost every single time i go out. And now that I think about it, it really doesn't matter whether I ask a guy to dance or a guy asks me: either way, I'M the one whose choosing whether to dance with him or not.
(And like, seriously, if you've ever had even the slightest interest in partner dancing like that, go. Go find out if your area has an organization that does events like that. It's fun, it should be relatively inexpensive, and lots of cute guys.)

Thank you for putting into words what I did! I'm the advice friend because I met my husband when I was 7 and we were bonkers in love by the time I was 16... I could never figure out what i fid exactly and explain it to friends that don't have that kind of history with people. My husband always says he can't believe i picked him....
The guy that Matt talked about , in Steve Harvey's language is called - eternal bachelor. I love how Matt and Harvey have contradictory opinions when it comes to women taking initiative step in a relationship. Also the fact that Matt's supportive elder brother's name is Steve makes it even more ironic , because Steve( harvey's) most of yhe relationship advice are somewhat different and at times even opposite to that of Matt's

Sooo...let me thank you Mr. Hussey because thus far I haven't seen a post that I don't like love or identify with, you are amazing! And I appreciate what it must be like to be so amazing on the platform you've chosen with the name you've been given!!! The irony is God's nod to the bewildering hilarity of the human condition I think❤❤❤. Thank you for your patience with and insight into our completely opposite and genuinely willful gender's psychology! In truth we mostly don't know ourselves, and can learn so much from you. Idk if this is helpful, but worth mentioning for sure! In my humble opinion, Women are inherently self sufficient physically emotionally financially sexually and otherwise with one exception...there is a craving for outside validation on that sexual level that can only come from another person. It's like we were born with scuba gear that has a hole in it...can you speak to this? And if you have already please point me in the right direction. As I said, thank you so much! You really are a treasure😘

He's right. We make it seem like we aren't making the move to get the guy but we do it in subtle ways...works every time for me when I have really tried to get the guy without being aggressive or going after him in a masculine way. It might not happen right away and so sometimes its just about being persistent in going after someone without being too pushy or giving up too quickly ;)
My problem is that I'm waaay too subtle and hope they get my signs anyway :-)
I just realised that I've been doing exactly what he said! I go out and hunt and it's been such a mind blowing experience! we gotta try more dress before we pick the fav one. sometimes I just try it on to see if the cut fits me! even if it's too expensive, so what? at least I know I look amazing in it! haha!!
