I'm glad I broke up with my EX and moved out. Saying "will you take me" anywhere, even down the street to the store would get a hateful response like I was bothering him and if we did I would have to drive. I'm so glad to have my life back and talking to other men again. There ARE better people out there and I'm glad I didn't settle.

4 words *WILL YOU TAKE ME... ?*
Triggers: *Accomplishments* -> triggers masculine energy, the man feels powerful. Ask him to do smth for you in order for him to feel powerful.
The *4 words:* *Will you take me... ?* -> gives him the powership role and responsability (you give him the opportunity to serve you).
Use *"will"* instead of "can" so he doesn't feel like you are questioning his ability to accomplish the request.
Use *"me"* instead of "it" to not make it sound like a chore (will you take the trash out? Will you go to the store?) *Me = cherished moment* while it = a chore.

I love making my bf feel masculine, strong and protective. He shines when I tell him how safe I feel with him. He grew up in gangs and on the street, been to prison... so, he is a hardened man. But, when I am vulnerable to him and show I trust him and believe in him, he responds in the most gentle ways. This man has spent almost 10 years in prison, been to the hole for a month but will kiss me on the nose while holding me while going to sleep and call me princess. I always thank him for being sweet and thoughtful when he says or does something that makes me smile. Could be a random text etc but he does the sweetest things (not things that cost money) but things that matter to me. I tell him how proud I am of him as a son to his parents, the father he is to his son, and the partner he is to me. Every day, no matter how he feels, he gets up and goes to work to provide (as do I). He gives so much emotionally to others and I regularly remind him how much I love all the qualities he possesses as a man, and a partner. I tell him how handsome he is, how his smile just melts my heart. I simply adore everything about him, even after 20 years together. He's an incredible man and I feel very lucky to have such a wonderful man in my life.

I do and say the same things with my BF and I do and say those things because I actually mean them. He recently told me how much those words/ statements mean to him and that it’s made him fall more in love with me. Dan and I just started dating. We text every day and have gone out on one date - - so far. We talk and laugh easily, and have a lot in common. He has begun working as a real estate agent while slowly phasing out his full-time job; plus he's been the sole caregiver to his mom who lives in a memory care unit. So as you can see, his time is precious. Now add to the mix that I'm confined to a wheelchair. Transportation for me is very expensive. What is considered "normal" meet ups don't really work for us. However, he is always willing to help if I ask "Will you help me with . . . ". He makes sure to carve out time (even for a few minutes) and has even postponed a meeting with his mentor to help pick up a piece of furniture and bring it to my place.

If you ask a woman if she "will" do something for you, you're subtly questioning her willingness to
do something for you. It's a subtle affront.
She's likely to respond by saying "Of course I will" or "I'm perfectly willing, the question is "can I help you?"!
If you want a woman to respond positively you ask her if she "can" do something for you. Women are socialized to a high expectation of kindness and giving as their primary values.
If you ask a man "Can you
help me?" You're subtly challenging his competence.
A man will say "Of course I can!" He might even add
"The question is "Will I?"'
For men the primary values are being competent and self-willed.

I’m not sure where I read it, but early into my marriage I learned to always ask a man using the words “Will you” or “Would you” because “Can you” or “Could you” called into question his ability to do it, and diminished him in the request. That little piece of knowledge contributed mightily to our happy decades together.
The words you choose matter. There’s so many we could stand to rephrase to better fit the emotional response we were hoping for.

Mat, I really want to thank you for such great advice. I’ve been pursued by a man for two months. I resisted at first, not because I didn’t like him, but I thought he was a playboy. I was concerned for me and did not want to be the “flavor of the month”. Basically, I was terrified of becoming vulnerable again. He did not give up and I slowly came around.
