I' am Brazilian guy and I liked your explication, you explain better than some Brazilian teachers... I came to seek explanation because I have a proof! Thanks
You speak slowly and clearly, which is great. However, irregular verbs are best taught and learnt in groups based on their similar pronunciation. Most of them can be put into groups, only a few remain that don't fit anywhere. Example groups: swim - swam - swum/drink - drank - drunk, etc., bring - brought - brought/catch - caught - caught, etc.;, break - broke - broken/speak - spoke - spoken, etc., leave - left - left/sleep - slept - slept, etc.; fall - fell - fallen/give - gave - given, etc.; cut - cut - cut/put - put - put, etc. One part (or one video) could be all the groups one by one according to their similar pronunciation (summary), and then (or another video) each verb separately with example sentences and pictures, but still read in the same order as those groups.
Again and again and again!! I'm repeat and practice many times. First because I need learn more and more, and second cause you're a great coach and very simpact person!!
I remember The last year when I stared to learn English, Ive thought the irregular verbs wont be a big problem but now it is , thanks this video is so helpful I like your Accident .
Hi Emma, Greetings and hope you are doing well. I reckon that learning irregular verbs is no hard task at all, either the whole language. It's all about practicing, the more the time we spend to learn, the better and faster the result we shall achieve. It's not a secret that we, learners, must read and listen English for at least three hours daily. Lucky, with the Internet, learning anything, especially English, became much easier as we have tons of useful lessons, like yours, BBC NEWS, films, songs TV shows, ... etc. By the way, if you spotted any mistake, kindly inform. Thanks a lot for such important and useful lesson, Regards, Ahmad,
A couple of very minor errors: ...either *is*the whole language. ... the time we spend *learning* It's not a secret that we, learners, must read and listen *to* English... ...learning anything, especially English, *has become* much easier as we have tons of useful lessons...
It is the best explanation that I've ever heard since I started studying English, three months ago. I've never thought that I would understand the Present Perfect Tense. Thank you, Emma. You're great.
Wow this lessons are great. I love your lessons. The past simple and past participle are very difficult for me. But now I can tenses and very easy. Iam thank for you. Emma teacher 😍😍
Thank you very much, Emma! You explain amazingly, but I don’t fully understand the difference between go - gone/been - gone is clear but when I have to use been - no. Thank you in advance for more detailed explanation.
Hola teacher Emma, irregular verbs are a big headache but I will keep going. The most difficult for me are: lie, go, swim, be and tear :( Thank yo so much for sharing your knowledge with us, you are awesome!
Hello, I am French and I think your test is great! It helped me a lot to learn my irregular verbs! It's very fun! thanks again, you are awesome! Bonjour, je suis française et je trouve que votre test est super ! Ca m'a beaucoup aidé à apprendre mes verbes irréguliers ! C'est très ludique ! merci encore, vous êtes géniale ! 😃😇
Great video, I think the most difficult irregulair verbs is Fly, flew, flown swim, swam swum go, went, gone/been fall, fell, fallen drive, drove, driven
I have known most of these past participle of verbs, but I did not know there is another form past participle for go, and you explained well. you are good at teaching.
Hi Emma you are great teacher.i have fallen in love with the way you teach ..........your facial expresions dangles in front of my eyes whole day.....lots of respect from my side.......
Your video have been cleared my doubts about present perfect, present perfect continuous and past simple, I haven't gotten any native English teacher over RUclips as like you. Your teaching way is fantastic because you perfectly use pronunciation and emphasize on syllable. You speak sentences with proper pitch and pace. I also want to speak as like you. It's requested to you that please make videos about all tenses. Waiting for reply.....
Hello Emma, to learn English with you and with your lovely smile is fun and "makes the day". Get a big hug from your student, admire you and your lessons, living in a far away place, Israel.
But why you are so awesome in explaining things, I wish you were able to make live video lessons especially if you focus on pronounciation , and thaaaaank you soooo much🍁🍂
Native speakers in the US often confuse 'lie' as in 'lie down'. With 'lay' as in 'lay eggs'. One often hears 'I am going to lay down on the bed ' instead of 'I am going to lie down on the bed '. My mom said 'Remember, people lie down and chickens lay eggs.' 😁 I think for chickens and eggs it is 'lay, laid, laid' but I don't remember ever using the past participle 'have laid'.
Congrats for your great lessons. I discovered them recently and they’re helping absurdly! The most difficult is to think like natives after your own culture so deep. I would like to know about music “Lay, lady, lay” - Bob Dylan... It seems like an “imperative tense” (asking lady to lie down). If ok, could he use “Lie, lady, lie” instead “Lay, lady, lay”. If my English is too bad let me know, please! I’ll accept your suggestions. Congrats again and thanks a lot. It’s a pleasure to watch you! 🙌🏼🍀😘
There's always a point when the "error" is so widely used that it stops being an error and becomes accepted English. Is the meaning of "lay" any less understandable? More difficult to use or spell? If not, what makes it an error? Just because long dead writers of outdated dictionaries said so?
You are the most beautiful English teacher I’ve ever had, in my whole life, if I have had you on my childhood, I’d love you and English class, cheers to you, please keep going, never stop, please, hugs & kisses 😘
