"If it doesn't have 'motor' in front of the 'sports' I don't know about it." Thank you Elana for a much needed quote!!!!
Brad Nelson they need to make that a shirt NOW and I will buy it
Very underrated quote!!!! Great 👍
Absolutely LOVE this truck!!! That Cummins swap is mint! Great job! Cute puppers, too!
Puppies

Cummins Dually
Perfect
Had to laugh at the "boost gauge is dead to me" comment...haha
That was great but what we really need is a 10 hour video of the puppers doing pupper stuff. And Bill. We mustn't forget Bill.
bigghoss762 I am saving Bill to be my co-driver when we get the Trans-Am out. - Elana
Super sweet ride. I had a 93 Cummins D250 extended cab that I believe had those same seats. I have never had any vehicle with more comfortable seats. I could spend 14 hours in the drivers seat, get out, stretch, and be ready for more. Bought a newer RAM and it was no where near as comfortable.
That's when trucks were TRUCKS! Have an 89 Dodge B150 van. Prospector Royale S.E. All window van with the 360 auto. 2 tone brown and creme, factory ( Silver) smoked windows, chrome bumpers, captain chairs and every power option that was avaliable. P.S.P.B. P. Locks, tilt, cruise, A.C. map lights, factory turbine wheels, chrome mirrors etc etc. After ditching the factory electronic lean burn, catalytic converter and changing over to a Mopar orange box and distributor. Turned an 18 second vehicle in the 1/8 to a 10 second flat in the 1/8th.
Everything comes back around!
That truck looks great! Solid swap too!
Beautiful truck!
In 2 more months I'll have my 78 chevy 4x4 Fall Guy truck out for the 2020 season!
Mid engine?
Nice truck y'all have! 👌
Yes Elana, it deserves all the videos! That paint job is incredible
LOVE IT,THANKS... GOD BLESS Y'ALL.
Im so JELLY!!! I need another Cummins powered truck in my life!
Love the truck.. LOVE..!!! the pups..
Elana got herself a man who can " Hold Puppy's and Slam A Hood " ... Go Tom..!!
This truck would look great hauling Finnegan's drag boat around
Good job on the swap, that's a very nice truck.
That's kind of a neat looking old Dodge Dually ! Very cool you did the Cummins 12V swap... them 12 Valves being virtually indestructible in my books, seen LOTS at 4-500K still running FINE !
And GOOD CALL skipping the intercooler Vrs the A/C.... better to have the cooling imo !
Love your Videos... and THX for sharing !
I got a 79 D300 custom single wheel club cab. Shes has the stock mint green color and the 360 small block with a 3speed auto with a 5.3 rear end. And she is a torque monster she makes 506hp and 582ft-lbs of torque on 87 octane
Holy moly, you have so many cool cars :O
Sweet truck
Nice truck
Love the truck and it goes without saying ..... the puppies. So cute. Great video . Thanks to the both of you. 👍
Paints a little flashy but it is a clean truck! Great job on the Cummings swap. Thats the way to go..
Colorful paint job.. And in real decent shape to boot!
Million Mile Truck with a million mile engine in it! Perfect :-)
You two are seriously cool!
“What vehicle should we take to pick up the puppies?” “Oh the one ton for sure.” ☺️
Very nice engine swap
i just came for the pups
The cab noise is not bad at all. I can't say the same with my cummins swapped ramcharger..
Man that truck is a thing of beauty
Dodge Truck and Sausage Pups, I love it
Beautiful truck!!
I bet the ones that did your paint job 💘 s the advertising.. He did a SUPER custom paint job on this!!
I love the models with the bird bath hoods.
Beautiful truck. Wish my beater red 1978 W150 Club cab wasn't a total rustbucket. I'm also reminded I need to fix my drivers side seat-belt. Nice Puppies. HaHa
Hella clean Cummins swap. I can see why she married that man.
Nice Truck!
When u can't decide what color you want your truck..lol. The 12V Cummins is an excellent engine. Keeping the 727 was a good idea, because building an A518 that can handle the torque of that diesel costs big bucks just to get OD.
What a great truck and, yeah those are Packers colors.
I love this truck .
Beautiful!!
Awesome truck Tom and Elana! The paint is killer, just imagine the amount of masking and fine lining to get that that job done. Larry Watson would be impressed. I have a 1980 200 4x4 long bed step side I'm going to build soon. It's a WNY truck and really rusty. I'm swapping out the rod knocking 360 in favor of a Magnum 5.9L. I have a rust free 2WD parts truck. In addition to swapping the cab I have to replace the frame behind the cab. When I do that I'm going to make it a short bed. The truck is dark brown metallic, but will have a few different color panels when done, my own version of the RK Muscle Truck mixed with Dulcich Mopar Muscle Truck! Looking forward to more fun Mopar videos!
Love this truck!!!!!!
Hmph, my '78 has the antenna on the passenger side. Love your truck and I was cackling when the pups appeared.
This truck is RAD!
Well no worries about torque with that Cummins Turbo Diesel...
Quite a stripe package on this one....
Those puppies 💘 rides... Little English Driving Caps for them to wear while riding would be pretty 😎 and cute!!
The cassette tape issue may be caused by either the type of tape it was recorded on (Type II, ferric oxide, Type IV, etc) or the Dolby version used. That'd be my first (and second?) guess.
I would guess that as well
Crew cab is rare.
And a carpeted bed for the puppies to play in.. 😎!
I love the wreck of the edmund fitzgerald song!!
This could also be a 😎 hauler for one of your drag cars..
Fun fact you could not buiy a dodge dually crew cab this one is special
Have yall looked into vintage led? Glass housing led heads for the classic look but are a bright white illumination.
Dulchic has yer boat
Hey guys, cool truck! You by chance still have the factory tach? I'm in the process of resto-ing my 75 d100 adventurer se factory 440 truck and am having a very hard time finding a working factory tach.
Hey, Elana. Can you do "cold starts" on all your old vehicles ? Thank you
noice car
Cool truck. I am looking for one of these and would have to Cummins swap it aswell.. was it hard to Fit the Cummins in?
An easy swap if you use all the factory Dodge Cummins parts from about 1990.
One thing put that seat belt on however great truck
God damn clean up these wires under the hood
Sweet swap! How do you get by smog?
It's a legal swap because its a newer driveline. The state changed the title to reflect that it is now diesel powered so its smog exempt. In CA, diesel trucks made prior to 1997 are not inspected simply because they were built without any smog devices.
Beautiful
But front suspension is the problem with this combo.
Ball joints fail due to weight
Me gusta la camioneta
Video gets rl good at 6:40
Do you still have the dually bed? I've got a 90 Dodge D350 SRW 8' bed with 12 valve Cummins that I'm putting into a 81 Dodge D350 DRW Crew Cab. And I'm looking for a dually 8' bed.
Unfortunately no but we'll keep an eye out for you. - T
What did y’all do with the donor Cummins truck?
We sold the body (rust free) to a guy that took it to the midwest.
Gordon Lightfoot... 👍 choice!!
that radiator is as wide as a chevette!
thought about running an air to water intercooler? the atmosphere heat exchanger are much thinner than an air to air intercooler
Honestly never gave an intercooler any thought on this project other than the packaging problem. We have an intercooled truck ('93 Dodge which is totally stock) and whats funny is this non-intercooled version runs basically the same or maybe a little better. Cummins rated these trucks at 160HP which sounds comically low but these are BIG horses with high torque output at low rpm. At this power level, and because these are diesel engines good intercooling is just not important. I agree that if we cranked up the power some type of intercooling would be needed. Both trucks will pull a single car trailer at 70mph up a 6% grade no sweat and deliver 20+mpg. I would add that if anyone is contemplating this type of swap don't overlook the ease of which a non-intercooled Cummins can be installed.
@@Challengeher fun fact, the pump and injector, and turbo combination are specific to the non-intercooled engine specifically for that reason. what kind of converter did you use?
@@whatchu_talkin_john_willis The 727 has the stock '89 dually converter. The trans was in good shape so we just resealed it and adjusted the bands.
How did you get the title switch form gas to diesel
You need to have a CA State Bar Referee inspect the truck and then change the title, assuming you pass all the inspections and it's a legal swap you're good to go. In our case, its a lot newer driveline and tripled the fuel economy of the truck by replacing the 440. The power train you swap to also has to be from the same class of vehicle meaning you can't do medium duty engine swaps on light duty trucks. Hope this helps.
@@Challengeher what did you do with the 440, and is it for sale. I am going to put a 440 into my 1999 Dodge Ram.
@@amadrid5899 I might be getting my 440s mixed up (they come and go with regularity here) but I think we might have sold it to Freiburger from Roadkill.
paintjob screams 1980's! and those are 77 parklights on the front.
Good eye! Little know fact is that '78 model trucks made prior to Jan 1, 1978 had the '77 style parking lights. The paint job is very 1980's. Thanks for watching
Anyone looking for 2 3/4 ton quadcabs like this! Plus and RV with a 440?
Do you still own this truck ?
Time to throw an Alison in there behind that Cummins, grab one from a school bus
Nunga nunga nunga. Horrid noise!!
The US model trucks are worlds different to the Aussie ones.
I had an around 66 Dodge AT4 crewcab. But very basic ex Govt version with a rear door only on the left.[RHD] LA318 and 4 speed. 153" wheelbase, Probably the same as yours.
Chrysler assembled and the Dodge an Internationals shared the same cab and chassis with a few differences.
I had several Dodges, a 77 D5N 300 245 hemi, a D5N 400 with 245 hemi, in Highways yellow, similar to yours, anextended chassis D5N 300 with a 318. Then an Acco with 345 petrol which was far better!
that's paint not tape
Nice truck, but your wife is way cooler than the truck.
Great truck but hate the Cummins.
