Cut-Rate Commander - Episode 60- Featuring Tetsuo Imperial Champion from Dominaria United

The legendary samurai and slayer of Nicol Bolas (the first time anyway) Tetsuo Imperial Champion has emerged from the past of Dominaria United to show display his prowess with both his blade and his spells.
In this build, we'll be aiming to make the most out of his Tetsuo's ability to turn the gear that he's equipped with into additional damage or free spells. So of course, we'll be running plenty of powerful equipment to pad his stats, grant him deadly keywords, and protect him from removal, alongside a solid Instant/Sorcery selection to provide us value as he swings in - ensuring that he'll be able to cut down any planeswalker foolish enough to challenge him with ease.

Wow I almost stumbled into the same deck list lol I mostly just used the new kamegawa reconfigure equipments but I love the spells you chose! I didn't even think about the suspense cards!
You know what they say about great minds! And glad I could provide some insight into the suspend cards - which are always a good thing to keep in mind if your commander or game plan gives you access to cheat out spells!

The most important thing you forgot to mention about Unscythe is that it has some of the most metal artwork in the game, which should automatically earn it a slot in the deck.
Well, aesthetics certainly play a part in deck building too, so it a good thing that its got a good effect and cool art!
Elas FTW! Great video, love the suspend cards! I would like to see Nemata, Primeval Warden, Balmor, or Garna.
Thanks for voting and glad you enjoyed the video! Those 0 mana suspend cards are always going to be good additions in decks that can cheat them out so we can get their value immediately (which we'll be seeing more of in a upcoming Quick Precon upgrade build...).
Also thanks for the poll suggestions, I'll see what I can do about getting some of those commanders on the docket before The Brothers War is upon us!

Great build! I'm very tempted to take this list and run with it. If you did a poll with Zur, Eternal Schemer; Nemata, Primeval Warden; and Balmor, Battlemage Captain, it would be really hard to choose one.

Was already building Dalakos as commander, but I think I'll fold it into Tetsuo now because this looked so sweet!

Nice build! Anything vaguely equipment based is super easy to upgrade or adjust too cause of just scaling said equipment. You're probably fed up with my wacky suggestions but for 40k Kharn the Betrayer looks like a fun build
Glad you enjoyed it! Most artifacts/equipment builds can easily be tailored to suite its pilot (provided you have the cash to afford the real good pieces).
Kharn certainly would be a fun build around with his built in assault suit like effect - and with him being relatively cheap maybe he will find himself on a poll with some of the more affordable new commanders from the WH40k precons...
I'd really want to see your take on Stangg, Echo Warrior. Definitely an interesting voltron esque commander for sure
Stangg, Echo Warrior if definitely a cool build around that fell of my radar with all the Dominaria United and Warhammer 40k Precons stuff I've been working on - but I'll see what I can do about getting him in a future poll!

My vote is going to Elas il Kor most interesting. keeping with the uncommon commanders it would be cool to see Najal, the Storm Runner and Tatyova, Steward of Tides. Thanks for the great content!

I would replace acquisition octopus with tandem lookout. Tandem lookout only requires damage to be dealt in order to draw a card and not "combat" damage. So you would draw a card with tetsuos first ability and when he connects.
Putting in the work. Tetsuo was always one I thought was cool but not sure how to build.
Yeah, he is certainly an interesting commander that's not as straight forward to build as others. But I think this build got to showcase both modes of his ability very well!

My Uncommon Vote goes to the Selesnya Queen, since the way she supports her strategy seems like a blast to figure out the optimisation of. Shame that Raff Capashen ended up a tad too janky of a card advantage engine... and that the Kor Cleric doesn't really pique my interest. Curse you, Standard!

Queen Allenal is a fine build around for a token build, but it looks like she has a long way to go in the polls if she wants to catch up to Elas il-Kor's substantial lead.
At this point you're as much as part of the content as the builds or polls themselves - to the point where it would be weird if you didn't post!

For the some of the upgrades I would recommend - Mask of Avacyn/Winged Boots > Darksteel Plate/Lightning Greaves, Storm's Wrath > Hammer of Nazahn, Tenza, Godo's Maul > Champion's Helm, Burn Down the House > Chandra's Ignition, Sword of Vengeance > Embercleave, & the swords are really dealers choice.

Elas Il Kor is probably my favorite but I'm most curious about how you'd build Raff so he gets my vote
Looks like you may be getting your favorite instead of who you voted for consider the state of the polls right now, but I guess that's not such a bad thing!
Only been three weeks and it's already jumped in price by $40 (based off of CardKingdom prices).
Cardkingdom prices tend to be a bit higher than the TCG prices I use to calculate the prices for these builds, but I can see some of these going up just because Testuo is a interesting build around that lots of folks want to try out!
@Grazzet MTG I guess that's the price of reliability...I ordered some cards from TCG 4 months ago and I'm still waiting.

@Grazzet MTG They said they mailed it and gave me some tracking number that doesn't work. I asked for a refund but I can't prove I never got them so they said no.
