    a stone of mass 5kg falls from the top of a cliff 50m high and buries 1m in deep in sand.find average resistant offered by sand (the answer in the book is 2450N) and if i use the equation Fres= mg(1+h/x) the answer i get is 2499N COULD YOU EXPLAIN THIS PLEASE

      vf^2 = vi^2 + 2gh just before hitting the ground, then Vf^2= vi^2 +2ad as it penetrated the sand to get acceleration, then F =ma, you will get 2499N
