Lost my adapter that was working great. Spent time finding another. With remnants from the high school graduate junk box, I got lucky and found one. I didn't know that the second adapters lock was on and wouldn't delete like the first one I was using. Hate admitting i had about an hour in to trying to free card up to reinsert in trail camera. I finally searched you tube and this kind gentleman answered my question. Felt very happy. THank you, kind sir.

Oh my gosh! I never knew there was a little lock on the adapter!! I've been copying my files to a flash drive then putting the sd card back in my phone to delete crap! Ugh! Thank you a zillion times!!

I though that "lock" meant that it locks the smaller SD card inside the adapter... Well seems like you learn something new each day. :D
Tried to remove videos from mine, said it was protected... unlocked it and vola was able to remove the vids :)

I think I just solved the problem for myself....Check the adapter to see if there is the little "lock" button. Unlock that button!
Watch the above video at 1:10 ... The right protected message should go away.
