MSP Mounting Solutions Plus has a nice RMR mount that goes in place of the rear sight instead of using the Weaver style mount.

I must ask, those grips are amazing on the competitor, what are they? Good shootin , looking to buy the 44 hunter myself, local sportsman warehouse has one in stock today. But that competitor sure is drawing me towards it too. LOL gotta love the gun life

For 296, I use 23.3gr.
Do find any less re-coil with the added weight of your 629 Competitor?
Yes, with all the weights in, it does tame the recoil a bit. I also have a Model 29 6.5" barrel with the short underlug. The Model 29 is noticeably snappier with the recoil.

6" barrel.

Manufacturer is Culina Grips. The wood is bird's eye maple.
