I bought a 6" stainless Python a year ago, and now it won't fire 25 of the 50 bullets. Doesn't even touch the bullet! Have you experienced this?

3-vent 4.25 blued Python will be quite expensive in the future, and a new mythology will emerge with a cult full of zealots.

I got the j-frame 60.357 Magnum handles that cartridge very well recoil never bothered me it's not that bad

I owned a snubby model 66, and I still think it was, with full-powered 158 gr 357 mag loads, one of the most painful guns I've ever fired. It wasn't uncommon to end-up with an open blister on my thumb joint, and my trigger finger felt like it was being hit with a hammer after shooting it for a bit. I can only imagine what this lighter gun is like.

Scratches on the finish? That marvelous bit of ordnance was used by many individual lawmen, including your humble servant. Never was - in those days - a treasured and protected gimcrack. It was a treasured and cherished item of hardware. You are correct about the target trigger being wider. However, all the revolvers (S&W M19s that is) have serrated or groved triggers. To make them more 'friendly' in double action mode, many shooters would remove the grooves for a smooth trigger. Contrary to presumable advertising claims, the barrel pin was eliminated in the early 1980 when S&W was bought from Bangor-Punta company. Until that time -- since 1898 - the pin was used. From my perspective it was a cost cutting move, with barrel threaded to make a crush fit juncture. As a enthusiastic user of S&W revolvers, I will no buy a a pin-less example. Recessed cylinders were used for many years. It was dropped for cost of manufacture savings. Yes, it works actually as well, it is indicative of the lack of workmanship and pride in the manufacture.

The 2021 Anaconda is a better built revolver. The Anaconda is built like a tank. Even the cylinder is meatier. The new Anaconda is just a big Python. Every gun enthusiast should have a big bore .44magnum in their arsenal for those "just in case" situations.

Colt gets a HUGE price for an inferior product. This isn’t the first Colt .22 that I’ve heard with problems. Yeah, the emotional die hards will keep defending Colt, but take the emotion out of it and there’s not much here.

The vented barrel shrouds would tend to aid cooling, due to both the extra metal mass and the added surface area created by those air vents.

Xtremely good video, Personnally I think I would rather have front site with the screw. Reason being with my luck I'd bump the front site when holstering the gun and loose it. That'd really suck..

I have the regular model 60 also with a 3" barrel. It's only about 2 ounces heavier than model 60 pro series you have there. It also kicks whenever I fire .357 magnums through it though not as bad, I guess, as you've experienced with your model 60 pro series. Could you fire that gun that's fully loaded with .357 rounds with just one hand? I certainly could fire mine with just one hand. I think that additional 2 ounces helps lessen the recoil a bit.

What do you like better. Stealth hunter or competitor?

I never shot or owned a Revolver. I have been researching them a lot this year. I narrowed it down to SW/COLT in 44mag. Since it will be first handgun I own that won’t be an edc I am looking to get both in 6’

I have both of these and they are super accurate, I shoot them both at 100 yard 12” gong and can hit 10 out of 10,also I can hit a 16” gong at 200 yards 4 out of ten so far.

Easy. 686 S/W 7 shot. Also, it's the only. 357 I own.

Between a viper, a 2.5in classic python with its smaller grips, and a S&W 327 for ccw. Any insight? Will be my first wheel gun and might be my only, so think with the if I could only have one mentality. Did not really plan on a colt and love the S&W on paper… then I felt the python and viper in real life and fell in love! Felt like a Rolex!!!

I don't really care for your sneering opinions about the Viper line!! I personally don't have any need for any 44 mag as im a 45ACP guy. The Viper is a adorable throwback made much better and will add to my collection with my Cobra 🐍 and Python blued 4.25 !!

I’ve watched and read thousands of videos and articles on this gun. I tried to dislike it. Went to Academy sports and saw it in the glass case. I knew if I held it I would hate it. So I got this New gun now 😅 Also Jill Valentine 😍🥰

Given the parameters you have established, I would take my Model 28-2 Highway Patrolman. I have quite a few .357 Magnums

Since I only have and only need one 357 magnum, I would take my loaded 6-inch Smith & Wesson model 27.

Both appeared to have three slots. One is just a little blurry in the middle and the scope is sitting on the back slot. The second picture has the scope sitting on the center slot. That top revolver from the NRA is a little blurry along the rail, but you can actually feed zoom in see what looks to be a center notch.

I like the 627 for the 8 shots , but I wish they would just make a normal looking one . All stainless , regular style barrel and full under lug. Basically like a 629 classic but in 357/ 8 shot.

Love the fun scenario! You got yourself a subscriber! Unfortunately, all I have wheelgun wise is 4 LCRs, which are too small for this scenario and a 5 larger Taurus'. I'd probably go 7 shot 6" Taurus 66, although the 7 shot 4" Tracker is a close second.
