Agreed completely about the vents. I will not buy a 4" or a 4.25" Python unless it has two and only two vents. My current Pythons are a blue 4" from 1960, a blue 6" from 1969, a blue 4" from 1970, a stainless 4.25" from 2023, a stainless 3" from 2023. I also have a 6" Anaconda from 1990, a 5" Anaconda from 1996, and a 4.25" Anaconda from 2023. I would buy a new 4.25" blue Python, but only if it has two vents.
yes they need to stop with the extra vents I was going to get the 4.25 blue 357 but that 3rd vent ruined it for me going to have to get the 6" at least that looks original
Speak for yourself sir , that revolver is absolutely beautiful!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
When I first saw the blue version I thought what were they thinking. The 8 inch is even worse.
Agreed the over vented profile is well over done.
All i want is an AFFORDABLE PYTHON LIKE UNDER $1200 in BLUE
I know what went wrong with S&W 686+ performance center now.

I think a lot of people agree with you on the over abundance of the vents, even if they haven't seen a comparison to an older Python.
I would like to know if CZ wanted the extra vents.
Actually the 3 vents on the blued 4.25 inch python looks better.
