I used an eye cream with retinol and had a ton of dry eye problems. After some research I found that retinol eye creams have even caused permanent eye damage.
I use basic eye cream to simply moisturize without irritating my skin or my eyes. After a long struggle with what seemed like an eye issue, an ophthalmologist diagnosed me with irritation from skincare, and I switched products and was able to discontinue the eye wash and two types of eye drops I was prescribed to manage symptoms. Since then, I only cleanse gently, moisturize, and wear stick sunscreen around my eyes to prevent sunscreen from getting into my eyes and starting the irritation all over again.

I would say retinol could will give minor plumping the area as well as hyaluronic acid in multiple forms like hyaluronic acid and sodium hyaluronate. Caffeine will help with puffiness and water retention that could be contributing to a more dramatic hollowing effect of the eye. Unfortunately I don’t know of any topicals that are directly proven to restore fat pad loss in the skin. Certain non surgical treatments would help drastically like Belotero filler for the eyes and some fractional Co2 laser treatments.
Hi, I'm going through the same thing, my dark circles have sunken in and I have a face with very big cheeks, so my sunken eyes look even more tighten, If anyone has advice on how to get that area full again I would greatly appreciate it. 🙏😭🤍
@gagabiux Idk how old you guys are, I'm 45 and I can tell you no product can make you look better if you lack sleep. Personally I only have dark circles if I don't sleep properly, am anemic, or I stuff myself with carbs and sugars or I rub my eyes too often or too hard. If you have digestive issues, like stomac, gut, liver issues, or issues with absorption of vitamins and minerals, you are gonna have skin/hair/nail issues and you need to affront those otherwise you won't find long term benefits and it's gonna get only worse. That said, what really gives best results is facial exercises (face yoga), look up koko hayashi's channel, she has amazing eye excercises that really improve the circulation in the area and more circulation means more blood flowing, that is more oxygen and nutrients reach the area and you can see enormous improvements short term and long term. But as I said, nothing works 100% on it's own if you have other issues interfering.
Because nothing really does address eye bags. If you have them badly enough, you're going to have to have plastic surgery. I know this because I have them too....😢
Its not really that nothing addresses it. Too many things address it but in different situations. The bags themselves are a side effect of life effects on your genetics. Much like weight has a genetic aspect but isnt the primary cause and effect of obesity. The same can be said about dark circles and bags. Dark circles are usually easier to discuss due to a linking treatment but for bags it can be anything thing. It could be how you sleep, when you sleep, if you drink too much water or not enough water or hydrate yourself at the wrong times. It could be fat or the loss of fat. Medical conditions/health changes. You may be allergic to something that only effects your more sensitive skin around your eyes. If it age and elasticity then a toning under eye night cream and skin firming day cream, both applied with a 5 minute (per eye) low pressure massage of both baggy eyes and surrounding area always may help improve it with time. If its sleep related, changing to sleep with your chin elevated higher than your forehead, and consider adding a caffeine formula. It goes on from there but its a topic that I believe would require more than a short could offer. Even this comment is long.

What if you just want to moisturise, on your eyelids. So many moisturisers say to avoid eyes, but all the eye-creams all seem to be for under-eye issues only. I just want something to go on my eyelids to prevent them drying out and developing eczema.
But my dark circles aren't hyperpigmentation, they change throughout the day 😅 I assume it's related to the dilation of blood vessels under the skin, and the skin being very thin. Can anything help dark circles that AREN'T hyperpigmentation.

Looking for an eye cream when I really just need a good nights rest
Thank you this is a problem ❤❤
Hey, I have state-provided Medicaid. Why is it I've never had a dermatologist tell me anything of use for long-term care for my skin? 😢
Bonjour! For the life of moi, I couldn't find the part 2. Could you please tell me the product you recommend there? Merci! 😻
What about hyaluronic acid!? I use Peter Thomas Roth & love it!!
Can I put normal retinol serum over moisturizer on my undereye area ?
Hmmm...the 3rd one?
Can you please recommend for the under eyes bags?
True! And 99.99 creams are useless too, unless it’s for purpose.
My mother has wonderful skin at the age of 80yo. On a daily basis she would moisturise her face with organic grass fed cow butter. She didn’t have any wrinkles for a very long time, but stress/anxiety caught up with her. She did this because her mother used butter too.
Which is a good bb,cc or tinted primers for aging face skin
What cream do we use if we have both issues you mentioned???
Adore the sweater! Where is it from?
I USUALLY get eye bags that go from my inner eye to my cheek bone. What are those called & how do i help them?
Can you combine retinol with another eye cream that targets dark circles?
My favourite eyecream is bobbi brown extra repair eye cream intense.
It is the only eye cream that helps my wrinkly and dry under eye area.
Please suggest skincare routine and products for super sensitive and damaged skin barrier 😢
I have both....any recommendations?
What about niacinamide allergy’s and dark circles?
