To me what the camera carrying Black Cloak suggests is the cameraman we see with Sephiroth and Angeal saw something he really shouldn’t have. It was established in the original FF7 that the black cloaks were created by Hojo in an attempt to transplant Sephiroth’s cells into other host bodies and that the test subjects were predominantly survivors from the Nibelheim incident and other people who knew things that would be inconvenient to Shinra’s narrative. Most likely since they’re investigating an area with strange energy what the cameraman sees is Sephiroth transforming or behaving oddly under Jenova’s influence or as a reaction to the energy. We never really find out who the voice is. All we know is it’s a girl or woman and she’s accompanying Sephiroth and Angeal on their mission. We don’t know what sort of role she has, although in context a scientist or Turk is most likely, with the boys acting as bodyguards for her investigation mission, but female soldier is also possible. Regardless we never see a woman in the trailer so we don’t know. She could be part of this group Angeal is talking about getting back to Midgar, then again Angeal may not even be talking about anything human, “them” could also refer to animals or inanimate objects such as rare materia. I think when Sephiroth says “we were raised in different worlds” he’s talking about the kind of home life they had. Angeal was born in the world of light with a loving mother and friends, Sephiroth was born in the world of darkness with no real family being raised first as a lab specimen by Gast and Hojo and then as a Soldier by Hojo, and no friends to speak of until First Soldier. 5:51 OK I know this is the wrong answer but when I see this screen, dilapidated area, kinda foggy, crow on the battlefield, my first thought is they’re in Dead by Daylight. 😂 Anyway the lanterns look sort of Asian so maybe they’re near Wutai. One thing I picked up on is Angeal and Hojo/Jenova have the same aura color. Don’t know if that means anything. It’s also interesting First Soldier confirmed my suspicion that Angeal is older than Sephiroth, although probably by at most a year or two.
I JUST WANT TO SEE MORE SEPH. It just breaks my heart because this is before poor Sephiroth changed. :( I would love to learn so much more about Seph, Angeal and Genesis.

FF7 shows us that Sephiroth abhors Hojo, but I think he also suspects that Hojo could have had something to do with his birth. And Ever Crisis reveals that Hojo took it upon himself to "tease" Sephiroth about his mother, providing him with a photo of Lucrecia while calling her "Jenova". Since Angeal also has Jenova's dna in his body, he may have also experienced visions, which he has learned to just push through and ignore by focusing on his mission in life. This is part of the mental strength that SOLDIERs need to have in order to join SOLDIER in the first place, and maybe he is just letting Seph know that he is not the only one dealing with this stuff, and that there is a way to beat it. This is probably one of the main ways in which Sephiroth ends up accepting him as a close friend.

You might be okay with the grinding now especially if get into the game now, you'll have an easier opportunity to level up characters much more quickly than before. Also battling in Story Mode, they've brought the challenge level down for players as well (as evident in the recent Crisis Core chapters).
I'm more excited for when Young Genesis gets introduced. The plot revelance to Part 3 that could bring with it is potentially big, what with Genesis being the last one alive of Sephiroths past that he had a connection with. Then in part 3 Genesis seeks out Sephiroth and tries making him remember these events/memories we are being shown in Ever Crisis. Crazy prediction that most will probably hate is they are gonna give Sephiroth and Genesis a type of "do they actually like-like each other" type of relationship, but will ultimately keep it vague an not fully confirmed. Which will of course fit in to any Genesis/Sephiroth scene we might get in part 3, especially if Genesis's plan is to try and make him remember his human side and save his friend and Sephiroth ends up killing him sparking a emotional reaction from himself. My reasoning for thinking this is the way Sephiroth reacted to accidently injuring Genesis in Crisis Core during a training session, being the first to offer his cells to help him and becoming depressed because he couldn't help him and also that Ever Crisis scene where he tries calling Genesis and sounds depressed when he doesn't answer. I know that would be divisive but I feel it could work. I Dunno, just something I think could be quite cool if pulled off well.

My read of their dynamic has always been that they acted like brothers with Angeal being the responsible eldest brother, Genesis being the bratty youngest brother and Sephiroth being the middle brother. I feel like Genesis has always been the weakest of the three and Sephiroth feels especially protective of him because of that. But I could also see them doing a “do they or don’t they?” Type relationship with them too. Though they should be careful with that, shippers can get rabid.
Yeah I have a pretty big feeling that something in The First Soldier is going to become pretty heavily plot relevant for the Remake project. I mean we already have Glenn, but I have a feeling there will be more.
