I think the party except for Cloud get transported to the OG world near the end of Rebirth. There's a point where they get moved from one place to another where they are clearly separated from Cloud. Cloud struggles with what is "real" because he is physically existing in more than one world. Throughout Rebirth, we never see the characters "awake" in more than one world. When Cloud and Aerith fall out of the Remake world, they end up in Aerith's date world. However, in the ending, Cloud has broken the rules and is experiencing two realities at once, causing a break in his psyche. He has witnessed Aerith surviving Sephiroth's attack, while the rest of the party witnessed her death. While the rest of the party is mentally and physically in the OG world, Cloud is now an anomaly because he is experiencing two different realities. This will inevitably cause a major break in the worlds again that will be exploited by Sephiroth. Edit: If Sephiroth or Jenova caused the creation of the Remake world which basically caused a "re-do" of the OG's events, Aerith would be the first to have this knowledge and jump into her body in order to fight back. It would make sense that the Whispers would harass her from that point as she was clearly an anomaly with knowledge of the Lifestream and her fate.
To add to this, in Ever Crisis, I don't think we ever see a Stamp in the OG or Crisis Core stories. At the very start of the First Soldier story however, there is a Beagle Stamp poster in the helicopter. This could just mean the devs wanted to tell us the FS story is a prequel to the remake series.
Confirmed a little earlier too with the Sephiroth finale in one of the chapters, where the soldiers are celebrating him and it transitions to edge of creation from remake
What strikes me the most in this theory is that thing about 3 being Aerith's world, which obviously makes sense to start with, but even more so when thinking that this world is nearing its end, just as Aerith is nearing hers.
I do believe there will be a 1 star and 2 star Stamp, but I believe the OG world if there is one, will be one without a Stamp, signifying Zack’s absence.
I rhink Cloud crying a tear in remake when he has a flash of Aeriths death is linked to this. He saw it at her death and that is when a timeline split is shown
@@stingweeber6394 That's what people think they said by reading into their words but in reality there is not a single confirmation of her fate, not in interviews and also not in the Rebirth Ultimania. It's not unreasonable to be hopeful.
@@jonvallee4573 We can only speculate what happened when we saw Cloud saving her by the end so I'll leave this one out, but we actually know that she is alive in the terrier world. The only thing that needs to be clarified is what kind of worlds those are. Going from the fact that Cloud transported her white materia, a physical object, across worlds actually defies the theory that those worlds are all in the lifestream because they certainly have physicality to them. Also remember that Cloud got pulled physically to the edge of creation or whatever you call that place where he fought Sephiroth. The party noticed that Cloud was missing. The Rebirth material ultimania also made a pretty interesting remark on Zack actually surviving his encounter with the Shinra platoon that originally killed him in Crisis Core. If this is true, we can assume that the worlds he is in are also not in the lifestream but real physical worlds and that he is also alive. And one of them is terrier where Aerith is still comatose.
I think there is only one Zack with a ribbon on his hand (last seen charging into troopers on his bike at the Shinra building) and this Zack is going to be the source of whatever it is that “fixes” Cloud in some more complete way that never happened in OG or even AD. Whichever world that is, Cloud and Aerith haven’t woken up there yet, and won’t until Zack succeeds in doing what Marlene told him he MUST do (or what Marlene prophesied, if you like)
1 star world is obviously PS1 graphics and textboxes. But seriously, 4 also has unlucky/death connotations in Japan, and the initial focus of Zack’s world is all the people killed by the tornado, then the plants wilting as hope is lost. 7 is “lucky seven” and maybe the one branch where Zack escaped his fated end. The Edge of Creation isn’t reducable to a single world. Zack and Cloud meet there, and then Sephiroth seperates them by cleaving the worlds apart. Zack with the meteor then fights in a different world from cloud and they can both attack Sephiroth in sync.
Kind of what they seemed to be going for. The major events still happen, but slightly different. This honestly feels more like the way the original could have gone had they more time and space to expand it. The spectres are probably just to help it make sense as to why it's different. Just my guess.
It's clearly a different reality. The world is differnt. I don't even know if it's the "same" characters... as in I don't know when the characters and their identities started to diverge. And because of that my interest has waned a lot. It might as well have been a different story with obviously different characters.
The OG / AC world is clearly different from the Remake worlds without the need of a different dog breed. Stone cross vs wooden cross in the church. River below the Nibelheim bridge vs caves and cliffs below the bridge. Different style Buster Sword.
Just reminding you that only Cloud can see the tear in the sky at the end of Rebirth, so no, Remake's/Rebirth's world is not in the brink of destruction.
The only timeline I will accept is the one where we conclude with Nanaki overlooking Midgar 500 years later - a man-made hellhole, that has finally been taking over by nature - like the remnants of Chernobyl.
Aeriths 3 star world was kind of Aeriths playground. She never leaves Midgar and lives out a normal life, which would have created the 4 star world because it defys destiny. Sephiroth even has to go looking for her in that world because she never decides to journey . That could of created multiple new worlds alone
Never even thought about that. If a character has a chance to defy fate and it creates a new world (Zack caused the creation of at least 3), wouldn't it make sense that Omni-Aerith already has the big picture figured out, which is why Sephiroth keeps hunting her in these new worlds?
@ubergamer2010 or possibly Aerith wanted to see how her life would play out if she lived a normal one ? She's fated to die in all reality's so one could imagine some part of her would want to see how things would turn out if she could just be a normal person. Everyone is also very weird in that world and everyone's seems to just happily accept their fate.
Yeah, this is why I think Zack's final scene in Rebirth is significant, because there is no Stamp to be seen. And Stamp was ALWAYS included in all of Zack's scenarios so the audience would know exactly where Zack was. And yes, Stamp is not a major part of the original FF7 world, which has lead me to believe that all the worlds where Stamp is a major presence indicates that the world is an off-shoot of the main reality, with the main reality being the original Compilation continuity. Watch, this will be the big reveal of Part 3, and the ending will be about restoring the original continuity and ending all of the remake stuff that Sephiroth was trying to do.
Very interesting. I also concluded, a bit ago, that Remake's world is not the original game. We have had a flash to the original game though. During the final sequences of the game when Aeirth died, there are flashes of the original where Cloud is speaking while holding her. Apparently, the lines were even voiced at one point, and it is dialogue from the original game about his mouth being dry, and his eyes burning. I've been replaying (and recording) the original game with all the fancy Tsunamods lately, and actually redid that part last night. Anyhow, coming back to what you are saying. Yes, there are multiple worlds going on, and I'm happy you brought up the star count. I had noticed it before, but I didn't quite put together that there were 7 total (maybe more) worlds. 7 is of course the ideal number given the game in question. I don't think the Edge of Creation is one of these worlds though, I think it is external to the worlds, maybe a type of Nexus space between them. This is probably where the Whispers and Arbiter of Fate were before Cloud conveniently took it out at the end of Remake, and now Sephiroth has the place to himself. As for how Sephiroth got here? Did you ever read those two poems from Advent Children about White and Black? The Black one is very interesting because it seems to be how Sephrioth's consciousness is dissolving into the lifestream. However, he is so desperate to hang onto himself, that he starts to shed his good memories of his life while clinging to his hate and resentment. It could very well be that what we are seeing in Ever Crisis 1st Soldier story, are the shed memories. That story is in World 4 btw, there are clear images of "Beagle Stamps" in it, and they even mention Stamps from time to time. I plan to do some videos about this topic too. See you around S6.
I’ve been with you on this because I too didn’t think it was the original ff7 world. I’ve thought this since they changed the timeline. Zirconiade didn’t destroy parts of Midgar which changes the fate of Avalanche this go around and they made sure to change the age of Rufus. Genesis didn’t show up to taunt Sephiroth as he did in Cc, was that a different world? Sure this all could be to just unite the compilation and include Avalanche hq and allow creative freedom. But I think it has just been a different ff7 world. Since the timelines/worlds change I’ve always wondered if in one of these worlds Sephiroth didn’t get broken by the truth in Nibeheim. Could be interesting 🤔
ZACK is "the pup" dont forget. I think the stamps might all acctually revolve around Zack's choices. Maybe the 2 🌟1 🌟 are better choices that we havent seen him make , which will trigger a chain of events that somehow prevents the end of the worlds or dissuades Seph from making a crucial discission.
Aerith says to cloud that it’s a homecoming, or homeward bound but let’s just call it a dream, her dream. Maybe it’s homeward bound because it’s not home (1 star) but is on It’s way down the numbers to the home world because it’s number 3.
Maybe Terrier didnt branch from Beagle so the star order is irrelevant....Zack is already dead in Beagle world....Terrier is just a possibility of a world where he survived based off his hopes and dreams of making a difference that still existed in the lifestream after he died. Beagle was always there and always is. The other stamps are just representations of different worlds and possibilities created from hopes and dreams. The stars are not about chronological order just deviation
Just wanted to thank you for all of the FF7 content you produce. I played the OG when I was in year 7, so it means a lot to me. Well done mate keep up the good work
In OG, Cloud fused with lost fragments of his psyche to be whole again during the livestream sequence. I wonder if he will fuse with other versions of himself this time around, to become a sort of OmniCloud able to prevent Sephiroth's multiversal shenanigans and ultimately protect the OG world. 🤔 I'm not really into all that needlessly complicated storytelling as I prefer simpler and more impactful narrations but I can totally see them cook something like that with this trilogy.
My immediate thought about the order of the worlds was (and take this with a grain of salt, I have a stuffed brain from having a cold): maybe they're not numbered according to when the branch came into existence but when in the overarching timeline it split off. Like, terrier timeline appeared after Remake's boss battle but its branching off point must have been earlier because of Zack surviving. And Aerith's dating world... well maybe it's technically earlier too, back in the "good old days" when she was still living in Midgar. After all, if Aerith can take people to different worlds, why not to different times in these worlds? And through Biggs/Zack we've already learned that the passage of time between the worlds doesn't always have to line up. Idk if this holds up, just an attempt at an explanation.
One thought I’ve been having is that Ever Crisis may be Sephiroth messing with the timeline by altering the actions of his past self. Think about how the Rhadore mission concludes, the Mana torrent starts forming and threatens to wipe out the island, Shinra orders the group to withdraw but Glenn wants to save Rosen so he, Lucia and Matt defect to go rescue Rosen. Sephiroth at this point has a choice, he can follow orders as he’s always been trained to do or go with Glenn and protect his new friends. I feel like in the original timeline Sephiroth probably followed orders and Glenn and the others were killed in the Mana torrent. This means in the original game Glenn’s group doesn’t join up with Wutai which is why we don’t see them in the original game, but they seem to be prominent figures in Wutai’s rebellion in Remake, it’s also why the Wutai war seems to have lasted longer in the Remake timeline than in the original, in the original Shinra’s exclusive use of Materia provided a decisive advantage and this drives Yuffie’s desire to steal Materia, in Rebirth Glenn brought Materia to Wutai during the war and negated some of the advantage. Why Sephiroth is doing this is anyone’s guess at this point. Perhaps he’s setting up a scenario where he can be successful at reviving himself. Perhaps he wants to right things he regrets. Perhaps as young Sephiroth says in the FF6 crossover it’s “Because I’m the only one who can.” If Refu is the one star Stamp than the one star timeline is the one Sephiroth creates by meddling with his past self, one star for one wing.
5 Star world has more concrete rules than the others (Cloud strikes Sephiroth at the end of Remake & Parries his blade at the end of Rebirth). Nothing changes in the 5 star world as a result of these actions (the planet chooses her fate). Indicating that fate is set here. We see rainbow bursts at both of these instances indicating that they were both fate altering moves creating new worlds. But as I say, in 5 star there is no change because “the planet chooses her fate” 5 star is the prime / OG reality as it has concrete rules. The dream worlds have more flexible rules, characters other than Cloud are able to divert fate & are seen being shifted around through time and space.
A lot of this mirrors my own interpretation. I can't believe that the number of stars isn't indicative of something. It could be a red-herring but I don't see that being the case. Like you, I think it's suggesting the order in which those branches were created. I think 1-star is OG. 2-star was Sephiroth affecting a change to the timeline by creating his own pocket-world (the edge of creation), and I think 3-star was Aerith following suit and creating her own pocket-world (the dream date world). 2 and 3 make sense to me given Lifestream Black/White - we know that Sephiroth was looking for a way, and we know that Aerith was watching him - if Sephiroth succeeded then Aerith would undoubtedly have known and been able to counter his move. That's what 2 and 3 are IMO. I also think that 6-star and 7-star are fairly obvious so no need to say much about those. 4-star and 5-star are definitely the stumbling block. Initially I thought that we might have been subjected to some classic mis-direction at the end of Remake and that the Zack survival sequence may have taken place before Remake ever began, but Biggs knowing Cloud as a merc in Zack's world really renders any explanation I came up with for 4 existing before 5 problematic.
The stars are so cool - don't remember seeing anyone catch that in the last 4 years. 1 star is probably OG, 2 stars is something unseen, perhaps the world Cloud created at the altar.
What if the number of stars is determined by what time in the timeline it happens? We are in the beagle timeline because at 5 stars the diversion happened at the very start of OG, where the terrier timeline with zack would usually be taking place BEFORE the start of OG and because of that has 4 stars. Could also explain why 6 and 7 star worlds are numbered that way because they happened after the branch from remake happens. And aerith would've made her safe world with the white materia before anything we've seen so far and would've given it less stars than zack or clouds timeline
I think that OG would definitely be 1 star timeline. However, I think Advent Children ends up being the 2 star timeline. It exists and must be cannon and relevant. If we disregard Advent Children, then I think we lose some key concepts of Sephiroth and Aerith and their consciousness exists as independents within the lifestream. Which lends itself to them being the 2 whose consciousness expand across all the timelines.
just because we saw Zacks terrier world at the end of Remake, doesnt mean it didnt happen before the beagle world. the devs might have just shown us it in a different order, but Zacks happened first.the only thing is Aerith's dream world... which throws out the branching worlds relates to the star thing for the chain of events
Hey i liked it! Now it's making more sense of that line in the edge of creation, where Sephirot says> ""7 seconds till the end... but what you'll gonna do, Cloud?" i mean, this must be reffering to these 7 worlds and how Sephirot is trying to branch them to defeat his original fate, which is dying. Can't say what would Cloud do at the end, but probably will break this mess and return to one world only, the OG world, giving a goodbye to Aerith, accepting that fate cannot be changed, no matter what, and defeating Sephirot will allow everything to return to ground Zero, meaning that OG ending will be the "canon" world.
I don’t know if someone has already said this but the number 4 is considered to be unlucky in Japan (in many Asian cultures actually). I feel like the number 5 is thought of very highly number in most cultures.
Rebirth and Remake, is i honestly think after AC, thats why on remake the arbiters of fate knew already what happened and unlike the OG they showed Cloud how aerith dies i think thats why he actually parries sephirot this time.
But Sephiroth at the EoC has beagle world memories.. He can be in whichever world he wants at the moment, but he is from beagle world. So, wouldn't that mean that beagle world is OG world?
maybe the 4 and 5 star were made at the same time and are separate and have different rules on how they function or something? where the 4 star has branching paths (Zack different choices) but the 5 star combines and layers (Aeriths life/death)
Looking at the stars and how they count down.. And the rifts in the sky.. What if all these worlds are but part of clouds lifestream sequence? Including remake and rebirth. I also think we haven't seen og since og
What if one of the remaining worlds is, for lack of a better world, a "merged" world? Could the story be leading to Sephiroth successfully converging worlds, leading to insanity and the fabric of reality breaking? And the party have to defeat him to separate the worlds again, potentially leading to having to re-sacrifice Aerith and Zack from their timeline? Meaning that in the merged timeline, it's basically like Zack and Aerith are brought back to life because they're pulled from the worlds/timelines where they're alive into the same world with Cloud (like Zack was at the end of Rebirth). And undoing the merged world means they have to go back to Zack and Aerith being dead in the prime timeline. Just kinda spitballing, but I could see a "merged" world being one of the ones still not spoken for.
Great video!!! I strongly believe the OG world doesn't have a Stamp, and Stamp is called Stamp because he is literally a stamp stamped onto these worlds for someone (or some thing) to keep track of them. Stamp is such an odd name for a dog - I don't think the devs would have chosen this name randomly. There's hidden meaning in pretty much everything they put into these games. I also think a big reason they chose to introduce multiple worlds was so they could change things around and add things to the story and world in this game, without having to retcon anything in the original at all, as it is pretty much sacred to so many people. But by having the OG world canonically be the 1-star Stamp world, they would be retconning it by claiming there was a prominent Shinra mascot called Stamp all along, featured in most of their promotional material, we just never happened to see it in the game even one time. Doesn't quite work.
I'm still firmly under the assumption that the fancy rainbow lights means the creation of a new world, and if that's the case do we have a world where aerith is alive? If so, which one? I feel like we can only have 7 for obvious reasons 😂 I think the edge of creation is an idealised sephiroth pocket dimension type thing that he pulls cloud into to mess with him, where he's 'sailing the cosmos' separate to the other 7 worlds
@@jesse1381 It could be. The devs have put so much into the game that they likely haven't forgotten about that scene. The other question is where does it fit since the church is occupied with what look like refugees. So what event just occurred? I'm just going off of memory so I don't remember the details all that well.
@Guy9998 Possibly it's at some point just after the plate fell perhaps the next day and those people are taking refuge in the church. While Aerith is still captive at Shinra or maybe the party has already left Midgar.
@@jesse1381 That would make sense. Part 3 seems so far away but imagine, it's already been almost a year since Rebirth released. Well, Happy New Year and I hope 2025 is good to you and your family. Cheers!
Aerith also saw it since they left Midgar - though she's the only one who does. There's a line that they changed in Remake in a patch around the time Rebirth came out, where Aerith says something to the effect of "This sky...I don't like it". Originally, it was more like "I'm not comfortable without the steel sky". The change seems to be implying that after the events leaving Midgar, she can now see the rift. After receiving the (now empty) Holy from Aerith, Cloud can also see it - though again, he's the only one who does. They appear to be implying that Holy gives the bearer a form of timeline-awareness. In the case of the Clear/"empty" Holy, it makes them aware of the rift (early warning of a doomed timeline?). A White/"full" Holy, in Aerith's case at least, appears to make her able to exchange some kind of information with herself in other timelines - letting her know things she shouldn't.
Zack can't be in OG world bc the church he's in is the same as Remake/Terrier5 Star world. One thing about 4 Star preceeding 5 star Stamp is that four means death in Japanese/Chinese and is an unlucky number, so that world is doomed, but perhaps 5 may linger longer.
He's at the church in the OG world at the end of the Yuffie DLC and he's in the church in the Beagle world at the end of Rebirth. Those are my current theories at least.
What if the OG World would be like 0 (signifying no stars) branching out like the Shinra Building in Midgar and the 7 Sectors outlying but the 7 Worlds in place instead... And with the Edge of Creation, I'm also thinking about Sirius, the Dog Star. It's also a binary star categorised into Sirius A and Sirius B. Also, Sirius Black from the Harry Potter series has a Black Dog for an Animagus too. While JK Rowling never really specified what kinda dog Sirius animorphed into, having a German Shepherd Stamp 2-star would be cool...
100% Sephy is going to other timelines to get the missing pecies that he failed to obtained in the first one and is trying to perfect the game like the player.
I think the idea that the stars indicate the order of creation is correct, I see no other reason for it. That being said, here are my thoughts on the sequence (I haven't played the games since release, so I might get some things mixed up). 1: OG FF7 2: definitely created by Sephiroth after FF7. Might be the world where Zack fights "Sephiroth Reborn" (the name might be a hint to that world being one where he created and respawned after OG). Seems like it got destroyed, but Sephiroth didn't get what he wanted in this world. World 3 is created sometime in this timeline (by him or Aerith, I lean towards Aerith). Or it could be the edge of creation like you stated. He says he needs cloud at the end of Rebirth, so it's possible he killed off the main cast early and realized he that fact. 3: Aerith (or Sephiroth) creates a branch of 2 before it's on the path of being destroyed, and tried to stop Sephiroth (we see a scene where Sephiroth walks into a church, presumably to kill Aerith in that world). This is of course the world where Dead OG Aerith starts her omnipresence and eventually brings Cloud into for the date. This world mostly follows the timeline of OG ff7 and ends up creating 4 and 5 by direct intervention between Aerith and Sephiroth. 4: Aerith recruts Zack (i.e. saves him). Zack goes on to create 6 and 7 through his choices. Him being a singularity that "shouldn't exist" and Aerith keeping him alive may be why branches easily spawn from his choices. 5: created at the same time as 4 (evidenced by the ending of Remake) is where Omni Aerith posseses her past self from branch 2 at the start of Remake. She guides the party on a mostly similar path as the OG until destiny's crossroads. She then goes to world 3 where she eventually dates Cloud and joins the fight with Sephiroth. 6: Zack chooses to go to find Hojo and avoids a second death with Shinra 7: Zack find Biggs, and Biggs dies. I think this order works. Also, I remember people saying that some worlds had multiple stamps (I think it was torwards the end of Rebirth), so that may mean that reality is merging/bleeding for several worlds now.
hm... "7 seconds till the end" - and dogs with a maximum of 7 stars. Could that be a hint? Did Sephirot not mean "time-seconds", but 7 realitys? Just an idea
My thoughts is that the OG is the one star. Also that aerith will comeback in part 3 alive because of this. It's aerith but not the beagle one. If there is indeed 7 worlds sephiroth will fulfill his reunion and an aerith who is from another world will appear and have the same memories as the beagle one
great analysis! def world one is og with advent children and beyond "endings".... world two is probably the best of all... the entire planet unites and heals itself and everyone (including the gi) live happily ever after... fin. hahaha
Funny thing is, I DO 100% believe that we ARE in the 1997 timeline. Why? Just look at Sephiroth's sword when he swoops down and kills Aerith. It's facing DOWNWARD. THAT clue right there tells you that we're in the 1997 timeline. I think that the 1997 timeline is going to be a VERY DIFFERENT world when Part 3 comes up!
I am now playing these games as if everyone on Gaia was destroyed by Meteor at the end of the OG and everything is taking place in the lifestream until I know exactly what the hell is going on.
My wacky guess for all of this is that it's actually all a prequel to the og FF7 and the events of this Remake series will allow the original FF7 to unfold and to be the ONLY FF7 universe that exists. All other FF7 universes will be deleted at the end of the remake series and only the original FF7 universe will exist at the end.
Its a sequel disguised as a remake. Look at chapters lifestream white and life stream black from some of book ill have to.find it. Sephiroth and aeirth both are aware of the og games events and are actively trying to change them.
1 star i agree could be OG, 2nd could be where Sephiroth is in control, if you take 0 star isnt the OG then Edge of Creation could be it as the name states
What will you say after Part 3 is released and it’s just as convoluted as Parts 1 and 2? I used to be heavily into theory crafting, but the way they tell the narrative now is far too subversive and gimmicky-I’ve lost faith. At some point, you just have to acknowledge that it’s bad writing on their part. Everything outside of the original FF7 in the compilation has been a narrative horror show, so why would this be any different?
The opening of Remake takes place in the OG. The first time Sephiroth appears (with the music of the flashback from Advent Children) is the chapter 2 is where the timeline diverges
There are no timelines. People need to stop using that word. Square uses the word world for a reason. They even dodge questions about timelines by still only using the word world. Timelines are completely against the lore of FFVII. Also, exactly the fact ta´hat on stage they said there are 5 "worlds" and none of them was shown in the game as the PS1 world shows that these worlds have nothing to do with being alternatives that exist parallel to the PS1 game.
What’re the 1 star & 2 star timeline stamps? Is the 1 Star World the OG timeline? An the 2 Star timeline World is the one that Zack fought Giant Sephiroth that destroyed Earth/Gaia.
Why not just enjoy it instead of worrying about who's right or wrong? Up till square confirmed anything it was all best guesses. Too much contradictions to be certain.

Yes, FF7 Sequel Fake Remake Trilogy is not a Remake of FF7. It's a sequel to FF7. A Sequel Series that no one asked for.
Maybe because the og came out in ‘97 and no one would have bet it would get a remake

Yes it is! That's what I've been saying. The og ac world will be another world we see, totaling 7 worlds.
I think there is only one Zack with a ribbon on his hand (last seen charging into troopers on his bike at the Shinra building) and this Zack is going to be the source of whatever it is that “fixes” Cloud in some more complete way that never happened in OG or even AD. Whichever world that is, Cloud and Aerith haven’t woken up there yet, and won’t until Zack succeeds in doing what Marlene told him he MUST do (or what Marlene prophesied, if you like)
Totally agreed with you
1 star world is obviously PS1 graphics and textboxes.
I feel like the numbers are counting down to the "true" timeline, whether that is OG, Remake or something else, who knows yet!
I think you got it man.
Not really, since the party's choice to defy fate is what, supposedly, started all this mess.
Aerith says to cloud that it’s a homecoming, or homeward bound but let’s just call it a dream, her dream. Maybe it’s homeward bound because it’s not home (1 star) but is on It’s way down the numbers to the home world because it’s number 3.
FYI, the English localization changes the JP line 'return to the planet' to the homecoming line.
I'm not really into all that needlessly complicated storytelling as I prefer simpler and more impactful narrations but I can totally see them cook something like that with this trilogy.
The developers just hate the OG fans
But as I say, in 5 star there is no change because “the planet chooses her fate”
5 star is the prime / OG reality as it has concrete rules. The dream worlds have more flexible rules, characters other than Cloud are able to divert fate & are seen being shifted around through time and space.
The directors have always said that the Remakes are a continuation of the story, not a remaking of the OG.
Great analysis as always. Thank you.
I think the catalyst is Holy melding with the lifestream at the end of og.
I feel like we can only have 7 for obvious reasons 😂
I think the edge of creation is an idealised sephiroth pocket dimension type thing that he pulls cloud into to mess with him, where he's 'sailing the cosmos' separate to the other 7 worlds
I assumed by the ending of the first installment that it’s obviously all an alternate universe….
We still don't know which one the scene with Zack from the end of the Yuffie DLC is in. That is if it hasn't just been discarded completely.
We actually have reasonable evidence that it's the OG / AC world there.
Cheers!
@Guy9998 Thanks man happy new year to you too. We're all in the wait together. Stay healthy and stay safe!
4:10 Only Cloud see's the tear in the sky. You know Cloud point of view should be taken with a grain of Jenova/Sephiroth and mental weakness salt.
Well... there's definitely some goofy stuff goin on. :D
Maybe 1 star is the original and 2 star is a world where Aerith survived?
Naw, the original is zero and literally doesn’t have Stamp
What if the OG World would be like 0 (signifying no stars) branching out like the Shinra Building in Midgar and the 7 Sectors outlying but the 7 Worlds in place instead...
And with the Edge of Creation, I'm also thinking about Sirius, the Dog Star. It's also a binary star categorised into Sirius A and Sirius B.
Also, Sirius Black from the Harry Potter series has a Black Dog for an Animagus too. While JK Rowling never really specified what kinda dog Sirius animorphed into, having a German Shepherd Stamp 2-star would be cool...
Damn, bringing Refu into this‽
100% Sephy is going to other timelines to get the missing pecies that he failed to obtained in the first one and is trying to perfect the game like the player.
I think the idea that the stars indicate the order of creation is correct, I see no other reason for it. That being said, here are my thoughts on the sequence (I haven't played the games since release, so I might get some things mixed up).
1: OG FF7
2: definitely created by Sephiroth after FF7.
6: Zack chooses to go to find Hojo and avoids a second death with Shinra
7: Zack find Biggs, and Biggs dies.
Aren’t all the worlds converged or whatever due to Sephiroths actions at the end of Rebirth?
Time lines in ff7... why?! 😒
I assumed they left the OG timeline, when they stepped through the portal at the end of Remake.
great analysis! def world one is og with advent children and beyond "endings".... world two is probably the best of all... the entire planet unites and heals itself and everyone (including the gi) live happily ever after... fin.
Darkstar is actually Torgal
My wacky guess for all of this is that it's actually all a prequel to the og FF7 and the events of this Remake series will allow the original FF7 to unfold and to be the ONLY FF7 universe that exists. All other FF7 universes will be deleted at the end of the remake series and only the original FF7 universe will exist at the end.
I'll give you credit for having an interesting theory but it would actually be pretty terrible writing if it turns out to be true.
@@jesse1381^
Its a sequel disguised as a remake. Look at chapters lifestream white and life stream black from some of book ill have to.find it. Sephiroth and aeirth both are aware of the og games events and are actively trying to change them.
What a stupid question. Did you even play remake? It even tells you the world is different. There's no mystery here.
I love everything about this
1 star i agree could be OG, 2nd could be where Sephiroth is in control, if you take 0 star isnt the OG then Edge of Creation could be it as the name states
Been playing the original and there's a lot of stray dogs but none with stars. They are all stars to me though regardless lol
Well, yeah. Even know this since he remake
The opening of Remake takes place in the OG. The first time Sephiroth appears (with the music of the flashback from Advent Children) is the chapter 2 is where the timeline diverges
Having multiple timelines in one game shows how undecided he is when it comes to crafting a story. 👎
I mean, it's obvious from the first game this is say second earth at the very least.
״remake is a branch” truthers - unite!
Why not just enjoy it instead of worrying about who's right or wrong? Up till square confirmed anything it was all best guesses. Too much contradictions to be certain.
@@ssaunders1122 I am enjoying it. My comment was written in good spirit. What made you think otherwise?
I have lost complete interest in this garbage game

Hmm.. I realy don't know..
