- In Lord of the Rings, Frodo Baggins, a hobbit of the Shire, bore the One Ring through treacherous terrain, facing danger at every turn, until he finally reached Mount Doom and destroyed the Ring.
After the War of the Ring and the Scouring of the Shire, Frodo became the Deputy Mayor of the Shire. During his brief tenure, he worked tirelessly to rebuild the land, but he could not escape the emotional scars left by his quest.
Frodo soon realized that his wounds ran too deep to heal in the Shire, and he joined Bilbo, Gandalf, Elrond, and Galadriel aboard an Elven ship. As a Ring-bearer, he was granted passage to the Undying Lands, where it was hoped that he would finally find the peace and healing he so desperately needed.

Frodo wouldn't of made it far without Sam.
Right dad? 🤓😎✌🏻
@@paulsarnik8506what?
@@paulsarnik8506are you okay in the head
@@paulsarnik8506 No he would not my son
And sam would never even care if it wasnt frodo and his willpower to even befin the journey.
Lotr it about ppl completing each other not comparing to one another.
Sam is a symbol of soldiers who volunteerly went to war and frodo those who saw and experienced parts of it that they never ever found peace again. Its not childish game of who's the "real" hero
He pretty much had guilt and ptsd for life.
thats not to say he wasnt still trying to enjoy life with his friends
@@badjokezach6359 why guilt?
@@hurin_thalion11 Frodo gave in at the end and would’ve doomed middle earth, if not for Gollum.
@@badjokezach6359 I think the ring took him over more than he gave in
@@badjokezach6359 even gollum had something to do before the end
Okay but I had to watch this 5 times because I was either mainly listening to the person or admiring the art😭
I was admiring the music 😭
For everyone talking about gollum destroying the ring, what the creator means is that frodo achieved his goal of destroying the ring, no one purposely destroyed it
Title says “After lord of the rings” But you just explained what happens IN lord of the rings.
I noticed that in the post-Ring-destruction Frodo is always showed with 10 fingers
Frodo was a hero because he was brave, he gave everything he had to make it as far as he did with the ring. This is meant to contrast the cowardice of his villains. Stop hating on Frodo!
Lets not forget Sam.
Frodo carried the burden on him for ages n yet wasn't really corrupted till the very end. Whereas Sam carried it on him for ten seconds in comparison and yet everyone wants to talk about him. To me the real hero is Frodo n will always be Frodo ! Sam didn't have the clarity and decision making ability like Frodo did. Sam has heart no one is denying that, but it takes more than just heart to see it through.
@@chaishasa👍
All Frodo did as deputy mayor was reduced the number of sheriffs to their normal office. That's it.
Not really, Frodo was a good driving force during the reconstruction of The Shire with Sam finishing his job after he left.
Did rogue sheriff’s take over the shire or something? Why so many?
Great video
How did one find peace in the Undying Lands ? Ive never understood that part.
The Undying Lands, also known as Valinor, is the home continent of the Valar, 14 archangel/demi-god-like beings that were sent to take care of Middle Earth by Eru Ilúvatar, the supreme being and God in Lotr lore, which they did a lot, but mainly against Sauron's boss, Morgoth, the Satan of Lotr by his backstory and motivations. Gandalf, Radagast and Saruman are maiar, also a angel-like beings but in a mortal body.
Valinor is meant to be a metaphor for Heaven, since it is known as the most beautiful place in this universe. If you want more info i suggest you read the Silmarillion, one of the last Tolkien's works that explains Middle Earth's creation and backstory, actually it explains almost the WHOLE Middle Earth's lore
Technically neither Frodo nor Gollum destroyed the ring, fate destroyed the ring. However, Frodo did 99.999999% of the work for fate to finish the job so Frodo deserves credit for destroying the ring.
99.99999999%? Dude, Sam did basically 99,999, the only good thing Frodo did was to lose a finger
@@johng5218Frodo did do more of the work, about 3/4th with Sam doing 1/4th, remember that the Ring was so powerful and corrupting at this time that Gandalf couldn't even touch it and Galadriel could barely spare a glance at it.
Boromir was instantly touched by it by seeing it with the only Man in general touching it and feeling almost nothing being Faramir. Frodo didn't just lose a finger but got a permanent lingering infection from the Nazgul's Blade.
Corrupt nature of the ring destroy it self in a process.
Umm, no. Gollum did more than anyone else to destroy the ring easily. He endured its presence for hundreds of years. He sacrificed his sanity, his identity, his life is a Hobbit, and ultimately his life. Compared to Gollum, Frodo and the rest of the fellowship did like 2% of the work.
@@billybones6463umm no, Gollum did nothing towards the destruction of the ring. He didn't sacrifice anything, the ring corrupted him from the start, his obsession for the ring was greater than his need for life itself. Until the very end, all he wanted was to hoard the ring so it could be with him forever. His intent was never to destroy the ring and tried to keep that from happening to the very end.
And here i thought i would learn something new
He made it, but not without his loyal friend Sam.
Some great art here
Poor Frodo, he missed his index finger
Better staying a hobbit with 9 fingers than a wraith with all 10.

People seriously insufferable in this comment section. The Frodo hate is entirely stupid.
Sam Is the true hero and you can't convince me otherwise
Frodo wouldn't have made it out of the shire without Sam.
@@humanitykrusher8132 EXACTLY
Sam ends up with his hot wife, while Frodo is permanently scarred. I’d say Sam got the happy ending.
@@lagunamusic7686 Yeah poor Frodo but Sam got what he deserved :)
No argument here.
Remember all Frodo haters, Tolkien called you fools. So the next time you spout your stupidity, know that the professor himself says that you’re wrong.
I'm tired of people saying that Frodo destroyed the ring. No, he didn't. Gollum was one who destroyed it. Get the facts right.
Frodo did not push Gollum in. He slipped and fell off into the lava with the ring, which happened in the books.
Tolkien explicitly made it so that Frodo and Sam's mercy for Gollum destroyed the ring but ok
@@amongusgaming123 Frodo's mercy on Gollum allowed the ring to be destroyed. What I'm saying is that Gollum directly destroyed the ring (on accident) by falling into the lava.
Agree 100%, bc to basically claim that Frodo "single-handedly" destroyed the ring is an insult to the lore and cannon. Credit where credit is due: Gollum did it, even if only literally by accident.
Moreover, Frodo and Sam wouldn't ever had made it anywhere near Mount Doom without Gollum's guide who knew the route to it like the back of his hand by virtue of being "there and back again" many times over the course of several centuries. Even Frodo himself admits this much to Sam that without him they wouldn't have made it.
And the only act of mercy that matters in LOTR was that of Bilbo towards Gollum near the end of The Hobbit, and the rest is history.
And without Frodos strength, Not even Gollum would have seen the ring again...there is no question, that not a single person "destroyed" the ring. It is the whole story that counts...but Frodos quest was to destroy the ring. It happened with his intervention, so you can without a shame say, he destroyed it. It's not about who literally did the last step. But I think it's all about the interpretation of "destroying".
Frodo fought a giant spider
But frodo dis destroy the ring. He choked. Smegal however u spell his name took the ring from him then fell in the lava
He didn't destroy the ring. Gollum accidentally destroyed it alongside with himself.
dude sell your voice reading the entire books. People would buy it.
Frodo could bear the one ring all the way to mount doom, but he couldn’t bear a life next to Sam but now with him. He had to leave. So freaking sad! I really wish they had gotten together.
Actually Sam later joined him in the undying lands because he was tehnically a ring bearer when Frodo got poisioned by Shelob, the giant spider.
Couldn't have less to do with it and is just false in general.... why must people force romance onto the great platonic friendships of literature?
They weren't gay. Didn't Sam get a wife or was that one of the others? I don't remember a single gay character in LOTR.
Even if you only just watched the movies you should remember that as they are sitting on the slopes of Mount Doom expecting to die Sam weeps about how if he could he would marry Rosie Cotton.
They weren't gay at all. There isn't a single homosexual character in Tolkien's legendarium.
I know they are not gay. But after Rosie died, Sam was given the permission to sail west and the two friends got reunited at the end of their lives.
So he might not have found the peace? Like he got to heaven and was like shit non of my friends are here
It wasn't really like heaven. In heaven there's no memory of bad things and you're healed. I'm not really sure what it's supposed to be tbh 🤔
He didn’t destroy it 😂 g fell in.
You mean the emotional scars of watching your ex have 13 kids with someone else?
Artist for 0:32?
Whats that thing in frodos hand suppose to reference?
Gollum destroyed the ring
I saved everyone with another way to be free, however 2012 no body went with me so I suffered on.... I wait for Eddie Vedder to SAVE ME from ALL OF IT. OUR UNION DESTROYS THE PROCESS OF THE MIND SET MIND CONTROLS OF LILITH.... AND WE ARE TRANSFORMED TO OUR ORIGINAL BEAUTY Plus...
The whole point was that frodo didnt actually destroy the ring. The ring destroyed itself.
👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍
Did he get elven waifu in elven heaven?
Frodo didn't destroy the ring he failed his mission. If it wasn't for gollum the ring would have never been thrown in a Mount Doom😂😂
I thought he didn’t really have a choice…all ring bearers have to go to those lands…the dwarves don’t because those rings are lost and destroyed….gemi only went because he was friend to royalty of elves lol
He had a choice, they all did. Its not a requirement of Ring Bearer's.
Frodo failed to destroy the ring.
Yeah he was no better than isildur, failed at the last second.
Tolkien has made it clear that standing in that spot in Mount Doom, where the Ring is most powerful, NO ONE would be able to willingly destroy it. It could only be done by accident/fate. Which is why Bilbo/Frodo's mercy for Gollum ends up playing such a big part in the Ring's destruction.
He had shown mercy on Gollum which payed off by the destruction of the ring.
Frodo did not destroy the ring....
Can we stop saying Frodo destroyed the ring? He tried to take the ring from Gollum and they both fell in the struggle. They are not the same thing
Fredo was a wanka Samwise was the true hero he would of done it by his self 💯
That why I hate frodo man up
Your joking right?
