When I first got into motorcycling in 2007 I got an 07 R6 for $12.5k. No auto blip, no traction control etc. Considering inflation I am amazed that Kawasaki can offer this package at $10k.
600s were not always the low weight power houses they are now , BUT when they phase came in it quickly shot the prices of that class up ....thing is any real improvements will put both the r6 & zx6r close to 1k price territory. It’s simple supply vs demand.. Regardless, motorcycles for awhile have cost as much as a car.. major difference was not everyone had the internet to rely on in the 90s
Love this bike, picked up a 2013 white & black ABS edition (rare color combo out on the streets) this summer with a vortex 520 conversion and a ton of extras for only 5000$ and only 3000 miles on it. Bike is a blast to ride on any day be it track or street, as for the quick shift I would like it but I just roll with the RPM'S and bike shifts just like it has one IMO. Bike tops out at around 158 mph give or take for the chain and sprocket set up but plenty of power on tap in all ranges. To me one of the best 600's in it's class. I still have my ZX10R but that bike has become used less and less due to the fun factor I am having with the 636. Bike season is pretty much over for me up in NY but still getting in a few more rides before the snow makes its way around here. Great to see even after 6 years this bike still feels on par with the 2019 machines. :-)
Insane pricing. Imagine when they have a sale on it or the leftover models. It’ll be around 8.5k for a new 600cc. I really hope other brands copy this and keep the liters to around 14k. It makes more sense that way.
NunyaBusiness you’re saying insurance is 4K a year with liter bikes? I don’t know anyone personally with a new liter bike so I can’t comment on that. That’s crazy though. When I first got my 17’ Daytona 675R premium insurance was $1300.
Rence Fabian $4k is usually worst case scenario for full coverage on an 18 year old with speeding tickets, etc., but the premiums are typically high due to moronic squid missiles that keep wrecking all of the supersports.
NunyaBusiness I agree with people wrecking bikes and it hurts everyone with bikes. Hopefully when I get a liter bike, it won’t be too high on insurance.
@@Rncfbnx The most important thing I've heard is to shop around as everyone has different metrics they use to assess premiums. Clean driving records are everything to some while others just say "super sport=super pricey insurance".

In the market for my first 600cc supersport. Riding for years in other bikes of all other sorts. Buying brand new. What is your opinion on which is the best on the market?
i had the Ninja zx6r 2012, and it was AMAZING!!! but i definitely see what you're saying about this 2019 being light, it looks really nimble & lean. what do you think of the engine power? and the quality of the engine noise? its hard to tell with that mic, but the acceleration looks awesome! it looks like the gear ratios are spot on and the engine's recent improvements in midrange performance are key players there. But, it definitely looks user friendly haha! 🤭😄😊🚩🚩🚩🚩🚩
I am not a pro, is there any use in bliping in down shift or is it just for sake of sounding nice ? does blipping and maitaining a bit of rpm helps with anything ?

Either you really like Bridgestones, or they paid you to say that. But whats with the misinformation about the bike? Not enough power to spin the rear? or its a street bike?
@@clementbaron7323 its a relative statement. he means, compared to other bikes, that bike feels smoother than other bikes (assuming stock suspension on all) and is upset by little things on the track surface less than other bikes would be. i've had several bikes and all feel a little different. some are just more comfortable than others. my 2016 R1 for example was pretty rough on the street.

I don't think 10k is a steal for any 600cc class bike. They are all overpriced. Hell for the price of some of the 1000cc bikes you can buy a car...
