Fishing alone and we’re going to talk all about safety was theme of today’s episode, well you can have every piece of safety gear in the world, kill switch, fancy watch, personal locator device doesn’t work if your not wearing it but first and foremost it starts with a PFD it doesn’t matter if the boat stops or not, you smash your head or sustain a injury as your going overboard and you can’t swim or tread water it’s all for not as just drowned, first line of safety when fishing alone is always a PFD.
Great video Mike - always learning something new. I've been carving my bonito belly a little too big! The only thing I'd recommend: when I fish alone, I always have on my PFD with PLB attached.
wearing a PDF is a personal choice on your own time but it was is irresponsible to do this video and not recommend and wear a life jacket. mike you should consider deleting this .
i like fishing alone but when you hook a 60 lb wahoo and you have to handline it in on a shock chord things can go south quickly... Wind on planars forget about that handline bs
I do like your show but videos like this one makes it plan to see that your show is for rich people. Everything you mentioned cost thousands of dollars and let's face it most of us don't have that kind of money.
I've got great information from your lectures, but this video is hard to watch. Too many ads, plus youtube's ads. The music is too loud over your speech. Also you never circled back to the safety equipment. Should have had every piece layed out and went over the pros/cons of each, and its cost. You should have had a PFD on, so should everyone solo. Can't share this one.

I think you should wear a helmet at all times. You never know when you might slip on the kitchen floor.

Just buy a plb a hand radio and a laser pointer. And the mob system for kill switch is less than $300.

This video is literally useless... literally 27:18 was irrelevant commercials that overlap with RUclips ads.
People go fishing to not see commercials this is absolutely ludicrous 30 minutes of commercials 7 Minutes of video stock
And I'm not voting for Jackie Gordon only because I seen 10,000 commercials so far in a month
