    Can you make a tutorial how to make some expression?

    • @Zetellala
      @Zetellala 3 года назад +150

      To make a special expression, you go into live 2d viewer ( it should download automatically with the live 2d package) and drag in your model, click file>add>expression... if you are still confused I’ll be happy to help 🤗

    • @KiraOmori
      @KiraOmori  3 года назад +358

      Besides this, you will need to make the parameters or animations for the expressions themselves in Live2D. Depending on the tracking software that you're going to use, you will either need to make the expression files (prprlive and vtube studio) or make a cfg file (facerig)

      And another whoa, some people like to play as their characters and not their real selves. Some people (like myself) want to explore or take up acting one day and being a Vtuber allows for us to do that. Like the previous reply, you mean well but the wording can really throw people off...
      Edit: Oops, idk how that replied to MilkyZuzu and not Lune Yin. God dammit YT.

    I just searched "Live2d tutorial" and got interested in your videos, so I went to your channel's playlist and saw your old video tutorial which is from 2020. Comparing that to this one inspired me to start a career as a live2d rigger. This left an impression in my mind that "Hey, learning the good things and consistent practice will never betray you, and surely will improve you over time". I'll be coming back to this channel a lot surely since I'm still tryna learn how to live2d, and I think this will surely help me improve.
    I wanna say... thank you very much.

    Protip for my box modelling homies trying to mess around with making Vtuber models: just do manual meshing for fine parts like the lips and eyelashes, it's cleaner in 99% of cases and works exactly the same as you'd expect a textured 3D plane to deform. Also lets you put extra control verts in all the right places.

    Omg you're so much more comfortable in this video compared to your first series! And your new model is amazing!
    In the time that I commented last time, I:
    1) Tried to do a test Live2d model that looked meh
    2) Gave up and did it in Adobe character animator
    3) Settled with that model for months, hilariously inefficiently (6 hour encoding times for 10mins of audio)
    4) Became frustrated with my mediocre model and failure
    5) Vowed to try Live2d again
    6) Designed the model and came back to your channel for guidance
    And you've created a new tutorial! This time I will succeed!

    I’m very impressed with the type of effects you managed to create here. This is one of the few videos that I’ve seen where anime facial expressions are applied nicely to a 3D model. I wonder if Vroid models can be posed for comics. I’m curious, is there some way to rig the 3D model’s entire face in order to create a full facial expression? How can I create different facial expressions on a Vroid model? Can I create a frozen frame for each facial expression, instead of an animation? I need to work with still poses (not animation) because I need to be able to draw over the model once I pose it. My suggestion is that I would love to see videos on how to pose Vroid models for comics or for drawing purposes. I’d love to see a video dedicated to facial expressions, such as how to create a complete facial expression on a 3D anime character, and how to modify a facial expression as needed. Is there a way to change the facial expression quickly once the Vroid model’s face has been rigged, or is it always a very time-consuming process?

    How do you get your model to look so lively :0 Like the expressions, the hair physics, the movement of the character- it's all so bouncy and I'm loving it!

    • @KiraOmori
      @KiraOmori  3 года назад

      The expressions are mostly from my irl face and I do tend to be quite the expressive person 😅
      Am thinking of making a video about Physics though it’ll take a while since I need some more research ^^; I do recommend watching Brian Tsui’s process videos!

      @@KiraOmori So if I'm not really expressive does that mean that my model needs less expressions which also means less work yay

    If possible I would like to see a remake of the tutorials you made a year ago. I can't believe how much you changed (I discovered both that and this one today) But I had some problems to understand on the first ones
