Man, I can’t imagine how much patience someone must have in order to create a vtuber and just imagine working on a model and when you zoom out you just see a random line that’s not on the current layer. I have so much respect I have for people who make vtubers.

I knew you were making the model since we've haven't heard from you for months. I just knew that this model will take MONTHS to make. This shit is hard and honestly the thousands of dollars people pay for one of these custom models are well worth the effort the artist/rigger puts in.
i have so much respect for you and all other artists who create and animate vtuber models. it’s definitely not easy, but the final results are worth it considering how gorgeous a lot of these vtuber models are. idk how much these artists set the prices for selling and creating custom vtuber models, but i have no doubt in mind they deserve to get paid a lot for everything they put into creating this!

For things like eyes, if they're symmetrical, you can just rig 1 eye then copy and paste it, then right click and hit reflect (don't forget to reflect the X parameters too). You basically get your second eye perfectly symmetrical! This saves a bit of time and stress in trying to make the eyes look perfect, especially with head angles. If your eye highlights aren't reflected, just don't reflect it and move it for each angle. Good job on your model! I love your art.
for the weird white line when you clip the face shadow to the face color, you can fix this in your art program too! simply make a really thin line of the shadow color ON your face color layer (i make it a bit thicker just in case) and it'll go away :D if your eyes are symmetrical in shape, you can also mirror the eye movement and adjust it afterwards if it doesn't look right. for this select all your eye-related deformers and meshes, copy+paste, then while you still have everything you pasted selected, right click on the selected layers on the canvas portion of your screen and select the last option "reflect". it'll give you a window to "reflect motion" and you'll wanna reflect all X motion except eyeball X (otherwise it'll look cross-eyed). click ok and boom you've reflected your eye! if your eyes are different colors but you haven't used the mesh to rig eye movement, you can just insert the meshes for the different eye into the correct deformers once you've mirrored the eye!
This process seems absolutely crazy. You make them for other people how much would this cost? This looks like at least a good 1-2k spent because this is gorgeous

They really show just how much work goes into every step, and it's already made me appreciate it so much more, and I think I can go into this journey more confident than before. Mad respect to anyone who first draws their model and then cuts it. I usually just draw different parts on different layers and just separate things like left leg/ right leg. I feel like there's much less work that way. I guess benefit of cutting art later is that can look more cohesive or something? If anyone's looking through the tutorial models for VTuber help - you'll get the most mileage out of Mao IMO. Mao has physics, simple toggles, fancy special effects, blendshapes, all sorts of fancy stuff that'd work perfectly for the kind of model you're after.
This model looks gorgeous! 🥺 I really think you should add augmentation movement to the head (a little tip from another live2d artist), it will make it look more bouncy and even more cute (even if it seems impossible at this point hahah)

for cutting: you can choose to separate all the pieces prior to your lineart/coloring stages makes it easier for some people
