After watching this whole series I feel like there’s more meaning as to why vtubers refer to they’re artists and rigger’s as “mama” and “papa” it really is like your giving life to these characters throughout the entire process it’s amazing.

THE SMILE MAKES HER SO MUCH CUTER
here are some ideas for if you intend on refining the model in the future:
potentially adding transitional textures for eyes closing, they look fine when you blink, but if one of the eyes stays closed, texture issues become noticeable
adding legs would be nice, and if you feel like adding ability to switch between legs and the ghosty lower half (don't know the proper term so this will do)
at the end of the day for your first time, the model looks great
The ghosty lower half is called the tail!
I don't get why she had to add legs, only the upper body and the face will show up, not the legs

This turned out amazingly! I didn’t know much about how v-tubers were made before watching this series, and it *almost* inspired me to make my own. But i know i’d never get past the rigging part.
Same.. but maybe if one day I'll get crazy af I'll spent a whole week in it xD

Rigging looks very intimidating, but I think with time you can do it!!
tbf, you can try to become 3d vtuber, which is slightly easier unless you really wanna 3d model by yourself
Give me time and motivation and i will only finish the rigging part but no art
Seeing how complicated vtubing can be makes me think that animation is actually a lot easier and kind of motivates me to try it more often

Vtube studio actually recently released hand tracking! It does mean you'll have to edit your model to support it and rig a hand model and such though. I tested it and it works really well in the preview, though I don't have a model that supports it yet but based on just the preview skeleton it was super accurate! As far as I know you'll have to sue the webcam for hand tracking, but I think you can use both webcam and mobile device for tracking so no issues if so. With enough tutorials you can probably implement this into your model.

Damn I had no idea it took that much work!! I feel like most people really don't appreciate the insane amount of effort that goes into vtubing.
I just wanted to let you know, you can adjust the parameters in VTube studio settings, so just in case the tracking doesn't emphasize the way you'd like, you can manually adjust it!
I recently got oral surgery and can't open my mouth as much for the time being, so I adjusted the inputs so it reads better :) If you need any help or tips, I'd be more than happy to share what I know!
