@@Izzy_edits_Izzy No one can look at her design and say that it wasnt designed just to sexualize her and uts not even a good character design by default. The colors mix well at all and her skin exposure doesnt balance out anything. Her cloth design just makes it worse
@@seraphywang4638 I guess that is fair enough I feel like it was a good design choice but it just had a very bad execution what's her quirk it kind of does make sense but it was just poorly executed and it started to feel more like a fan service and anything which got the community rattled up and gave Momo's hero outfit a very bad reputation.
i remember reading that luisa's designers for encanto fought so hard to give her huge muscles... and disney prepping loads of isabella's figures. luisa ones ended up being dramatically more popular, because honestly, people are tired of seeing small girls everywhere
I wonder if the way Isabella was portrayed in encanto has something to do with it as well Like, I know of a few people who walked away from the movie not liking Isabella and idk how many younger kids (the kind who usually buy dolls) would relate to her story and see her as anything other than unlikable Idk, I’m not trying to disagree, just adding onto op’s comment
I don't know anything about the She-Hulk, but I personally love imagining her as a tiny, petite, woman who just EXPLODES into an absolute mountain of muscle the moment she gets pissed and activates her powers.
thats basically how Hulk is too, hes a nerdy guy who turns into a big green monster when hes angry. I dont see why it shouldn't be like that for his female counterpart
yeah or even if they wanted to keep a “tiny girl is strong vibe” they could have it so she can still turn way bigger, it could be like a cool power up or something where she’s small but strong, and then BOOM huge and strongER
Comic wise, at least historically, she doesn't do as much of the exploding in anger and becoming swole. She usually is in her She hulk form. Cause it makes her feel confident if I recall correctly.
I can definitely see what people mean with same face syndrome with Sisu. I remember seeing the concept art and THAT is what they should've stuck with. She had these amazing BRIGHT pink fins on her back that reminded me of the sailfin tang. It was like she was part seaweed almost which would make sense since she's a WATER dragon. Swimming is her thing. She still had the nice flowy hair but she definitely just looked ETHERAL and OTHERWORLDLY which is important for your dragon designs I think. But then I saw the actual design and was more bothered with the monochrome look they did for not just her but like all the dragons. Maybe they in the end HAD to do that cause this movie was worked on remotely so they wouldn't have the big super computers that the on site locations would have, but oh wait I've seen warrior cat maps that look INCREDIBLE and Arcane's character designs are VERY intricate which breaks all the rules, so like there's really no excuse.
Here's the excuse: toy sales. In 3D animation, the only thing to worry about is the power of the software, which I'm sure Disney has covered. But it's a lot harder to mass produce a dragon plush that has multiple colors and fins etc. That's a new material they have to buy for each part. I'm under the impression that Disney cared more about sales and marketing than making a quality film, considering how the "representation" of Southeast Asian cultures went in the movie vs the marketing.
Her old outfit looks like a bathing suit, I literally thought she was a lifeguard at first. Having a raincoat looking costume is much better in comparison
This reminds me, there was another costume design I really liked, I think it was one of the top fav characters and she was number 10. (It still had its revealing parts though) The costume works with her quirk, covered her up enough & still looked stylish. Plus with the zippers added would of course help if she needs to make something quick 😃 Am I making sense 😅
The way Lavendertowne made multiple attempts to draw her own business man, just to put a stock image of a business man during the She-Hulk segment is painfully relatable. Then when it's the final pictures he's gone again lol
I was skeptical seeing an attempt to resign Momo in the thumbnail, cause I haven't really seen many attempts I liked... but... The zipper suit idea for Momo is a stroke of genius. Suits her personality and powers. She could even keep the book of components she carries in an inside pocket or something.
Yes. Because when villains are trying to kill you, taking the time to unzip clearly gives Momo the advantage. Let me ask this, who will win? You unzipping or someone pulling the trigger at your face. Test that and see how stupid that is.
Yeah because the zippers do totally won’t get stuck and get her killed because she’s unable to use her powers I wonder what goes on in yall’s minds that make it to where y’all would rather risk that than let her have the outfit she has in anime.
@@Taz-ey4jlits hilarious that you're acting like the potential of a zipper sticking is as detrimental to her battle skills as having her entire chest (and therefore a vital organ) exposed 100% of the time
I love how Lavendertowne remains respectful to every character she redesigns. She never claims that her design is definitively “better” or more well done than another’s (even tho… come on guys, she’s incredible). Mad props and all respect to her.
To me, the fact that she is able to noticeably improve upon so many of these designs proves that there may actually be some merit to fixing badly designed art after all. And that the typical kneejerk reactions condemning art-fixing aren't always as valid as people tend to think. It just takes someone with *actual talent* (like hers) in order to do it properly.
If you look at sisu’s concept art you can see that she was heavily inspired by more traditional Asian looking dragon, with the sharp outlines and features, but she was made primarily to be a plushie so they made her more fluffy looking with just hair and with a more traditionally looking princess face, damn capitalism always ruining cool stuff
"Open back" seems to be really popular for Momo redesigns, but I personally really like the idea of a lose-fitting outfit with a ton of pockets. Half of the pockets are genuine (so Momo has somewhere to put the stuff she creates), but the other half are actually just areas where the fabric is really baggy (to give Momo room to make stuff under her clothes without stretching the fabric) with a slot at the top (to allow Momo access to the stuff she makes under her clothes). From an outsider's perspective, seeing Momo's creation quirk in action would look like she's pulling something out of her pockets.
That She-Hulk is STUNNING and I wish Disney weren't cowards 🤩 Your designs are always thoughtful and lovely and I enjoy them even when I don't know the character!
Seeing as how the encanto animators had to fight Disney to have Luisa be big and strong, unfortunately this is a fairly new concept for Disney to wrap their heads around 😕
The zippers definitely feel like a design the hero tech team would be able to pull out. Mirio gets a costume that stays on him despite his power being intangibility, so it makes sense they should put the same effort into their female heroes.
@@zenebeanthe in universe explanation is that Mirio’s costume stays on bc they made it with his DNA so he doesn’t have to run around naked so I don’t see why the same logic doesn’t apply to Momo(and even Toru who is deadass naked) and they just make her costume out of her dna so the objects she makes go through her costume as well
my issue with she hulk is that because marvel is so stuck to having a "shapely" "hourglass" body shape, she basically just looks like gamora from guardians of the galaxy. by bulking her up, and i think actually giving her like shorter hair or braids or something less close to a more humane acting gamora. something to set them apart. also, theres nothing wrong with being hourglass, and its totally possible to be super strong; but the entire point of hulk is that like he's like pure muscle to the point where even he isn't shaped like a human. personally i just think its interesting how marvel decided to design their character the way they did
Honestly it depends on the artist. Some artists draw her with varying levels of bulkiness, while others draw her as tall but slim. Plus she looks different enough from Gamora for people to not confuse the two anyway.
I dont know if anyone mentioned this but the power girl panels you showed are actually kinda true. I dont remember the designers' names off the top of my head, but the creator of the character drew her on a napkin and left a circle where her symbol would be. He sent the design to an actual artist, and the artist happened to have worked on some **adult** comics in the past, so he misinterpreted the empty circle as a boob window. Just kinda a fun fact!
Another fun fact is that the original artist Wallace Wood, was convinced that his editors were not paying attention to the work he was producing, so he decided to have a bit of fun. He began drawing Powergirl's boobs slightly bigger than in the previous issue, with the purpose being to see how long it would take for anyone to notice. It takes around 7 to 8 issues before an editor started to question why had Powergirl's chest gotten so big, and that's the size they stayed at going forward.
I know lavender doesn't like it when sexy characters get these explainations for their design but tbh I strongly disagree with using power girl as an example since her choice of having a boob window is more thematic and relates a lot to how she views herself and the world rather than anything practical. These characters are near invincible, the chest symbol really doesnt have any practical use other than as a sign of their beliefs. And power girl has always been a character who wanted to seperate herself from the other heroes to the point of occasionally being an anti-hero/villian. I get that it was written after the design was made but it doesn't change the fact that it was a good decision that fleshes out the character more. Imo its acceptable, even great, as long as the outfit a character is wearing has themes, character, or story tied to it, regardless of practicality. Senor Pink from one piece is one of my favorite example of this.
@@jojo11254 I see where you're coming from, but at the same time the part where the logo was could've just been blank; they could've had the suit not have a boob window and still get the point across
one of my favorite things about luisa is how shes super buff but also still feminine and has an outfit almost identical to mirabel, but individual enough to compliment her character.
I've never watched Raya and the Last Dragon or heard of it before. This is my first time seeing this character, and I 10000% agree with you on its' design. The light shade of blue is VERY unlikely to be seen in ANYTHING in southern Asia. Instead, it's more green, teal, yellows and reds. I am shocked as to how Sisu is supposed to be a Phaya Naga when the design is completely off! This dragon has been completely Westernized and abandoned the Asian culture in this character design. I also agree with the eyes being too human-like. I understand that Disney's style has a certain look, but the design makes it reach Uncanny Valley in a way. It is creepy and doesn't make it seem like a dragon at all from just the face. I haven't watched Raya And the Last Dragon as I have said, so I do not know if there is a specific reason to it but- why is Sisu fluffy? Sisu is a Phaya Naga dragon... Literally known as "mythical serpent-like creatures". They are supposed to be dragons? Dragons are not fluffy?? Such bad representation. Disney should be glad that Western children probably have no idea whatsoever what a Naga dragon even is. Edit: Fixed names. It's Raya AND the Last Dragon- not Raya THE last dragon lol.
Another thing that really gets me about how fluffy she is: aquatic animals aren’t fluffy. Like ever. Even if she still had fur, it would be short, oily and slicked back. Having that much fur will cause drag while she’s swimming, not to mention how tangled it will be and how long it would take to dry.
It's one of the few disney movies I never plan on seeing again. Absolutely dumb message about trusting people who have already proven to be untrustworthy and treating the understandably cautious Raya like she's the unreasonable one. Also, nobody really owns up to their mistakes in any meaningful way. It's always a "yes, but they are in the wrong too" situation. Lovely visuals (barring the dragon designs) and I liked the soundtrack. But I wouldn't even put this on for my kids, seriously unconditional trust should NOT be something to teach our children. I'd say watch it if you're somewhat interested though, if you're happy to spare the time. It has it's fans, it's just none of them are me.
Imagine if Sisu was modeled like a actual statue, like instead of the realistic fur hair stuff she would look glossy and shiny. Her eyes/scales could kinda pop off her base, like they were glued on. Heck, they could even make it so when she walks/moves it sounds like porcelain knocking against the ground. It would make her and the other dragons stand out a lot more, and it would look super cool
Yoooo, that idea is lit! That would've been so cool and it would've fit into the movie's half-baked-awful message/plot of "Trust". If she looked like that she would've been intimidating and harder to trust as she might fall a little into uncanny valley (everyone hates moving statues). It sucks that people who got paid actual real money couldn't have thought of something like this.
LavenderTowne’s Momo redesign reminded me of the rules in bnha: the pro-hero and UA teacher, MidNight, at one point had an extra revealing hero outfit back when she was still 14-16 years old. It was so revealing that The Hero Commission came out with a dress code that hero’s of all ages had to ad-hear to. MidNights outfit, I kid you not, was just a utility belt, a pair of sunshades, and a blazer. Admittedly. MidMight stated that she regretted her decision and was being naive. But idk how on earth Momo’s costume doesn’t violate the dress code. I know that Momo and MidNight do have a strong student-teacher relationship. MidNight giving Momo confidence and cheering her on, encouraging her to be a good leader. And in turn, Momo looks up to MidNight. But Momo is super sophisticated. So it’s beyond me why she’d choose that outfit. Maybe it’s a similar situation to Uraraka. There could be a possibility that Momo didn’t really know what her outfit should look like, nor what materials it should be made out of. So she wrote down a list of things that she needed her outfit to do and then sent it to a hero costume design agency. But due to her being vague. She got something that she didn’t want. I don’t know. It’s really hard to justify her hero outfit. There’s not enough cannon excuses to serve as justification for her costume design. Edit: Horikoshi, at some point. Made concept art of a different hero costume for Momo. A two piece, which is surprisingly not as revealing.
@@Oxnugget well now I’m just surprised, curious, and even more confused... So unless Momo sent in something similar to the concept art, what could she have possibly sent them that was SO bad that her current hero costume isn’t violating the dress code?
@@mintymimics213 prolly those sticky bra cup things that just rest on the skin and very short shorts with a utility belt of some kind for that stupid bookshelf thing she’s got going on. That’s like the worst version I can think of.
She was a big hero fan, and probably got heavily inspired by midnight when she was thinking of a costume design. Even tho she acts mature she’s still a naive teenage fan girl who is easily influenced by those she looks up to. Honestly I was wondering why she didn’t wear a hoop skirt or hollow ballgown like thing maybe even a really big coat when I saw her quirk in action.
11:32 for anyone looking for it Why did i laugh so much at that, i know men might be a bit harder to draw but my humor is broken so its a bit funny to me
I actually love the idea of Momo having zippers on her outfit that she just rips open when she needs to create something on a certain body section! And the idea of her fighting in a ballerina-esque style is really cool; imagine her spinning around enemies whilst shooting out explosives or throwing stars from her legs and toes - BADASS.
I think instead of a massive hole on the front of her outfit, it would have made more sense to have it on her back. This way there wouldn't be constant fan-service of a minor, and in the scene where she created a massive tarp, her clothes wouldn't be in the way thus wouldn't get ripped. I also think having a constant hole instead of a zipper would be better since zippers sometimes get jammed. Also on the topic of fan-service, I think it's okay as long as the characters aren't minors, the characters aren't being exposed against their will, and there is an equal amount of fan-service of both male and female characters.
@@matthewwatson5029 yeah, I guess zippers could get tricky...however, the back being open definitely makes sense as she'd be able to create bigger and/or more powerful objects. And if not zippers, potentially some velcro-like material? To be honest, I'm not super against her having an open chest if it wasn't literally her whole front half. I could see it working in terms of appropriation if it was a sort of v-neck thing or a boob-window shirt where a little bit of cleavage is shown as opposed to almost both her boobs.
Can we talk about how Momo’s belt would realistically just fall off her because of how low it sits, and also how she’s gonna break her spine if she gets thrown backwards because of that stupid book and shelf
Hearing Momo's explanation for her powers not being fan service gives me similar vibes to how Metal Gear Solid 5 justifies Quiet's design being very risque and fan servicey
Or how perverts will thoughtlessly defend the design of *literally any loli character* with the old "nono, she's actually 500 years old but only looks like a child, so that toooootally makes it okay" schpiel.
@@TheExpressivePokerFace Oh lol okay! Didn't know lol. Tbh if people could like..look at her hero costume from a more Strategic stance, it shouldn't actually be a problem. Because people saying that its really inappropriate, are the ones technically making it inappropriate. And I apologize if I was like rude or anything, never my intent.
imagine how wonderful the world would be when hollywood realizes we all want giant muscular women to crush our heads between their thighs and not whatever the heck she hulk is
There really need to be more strong female characters that aren’t just pure hourglass wasp waists. Any gender should have any body type (NOT hating on anyone who actually has that body shape, I just think that it is used too often in female character designs)
One thing that rly bugged me with Yayarozu’s original design is that there’s another character, Lemillion, who’s power is that he can phase through walls- unfortunate side affect tho, his clothes fall off. Except aside from a few off-hand jokes abt it, they immediately found a solution- they made his hero outfit using parts of his DNA (sci-fi logic don’t ask) so that it would phase through said walls with him. The idea that Momo has to wear revealing clothes, or that another teenage girl who’s power is invisibility straight up can’t wear clothes at all- is not only stupid and creepy, but not even true within the shows own logic!! Edited cus i just realized a spelling mistake (also holy shit this blew up thank you for agreeing w me, that show is great but totally had some iffy ew moments lol)
EXACTLY!!! This is the thing that bugs me the most about mha is that it doesn’t even follow its own logic, they just wanted to sexualize underage girls because they could
8:05 Actually the gold on most nagas are jewelry to show just how mighty they are. Unlike Sisu, they're reverred gods. One thing the movie got right though is that they aren't usually associated with fire, as most South East Asian nagas have more of an association with water, crops, and agriculture in general. They're a very fun thing to look into.
I really like the Momo one! I love the idea for the weighted dress, how you described the way it worked with her quirk made a lot of sense! I also love the idea of pulling the hoodie straps to expose her back to be able to create something like in the scene shown in the video. Great series, I'd love to see more of these types of videos!
@@olderalt.4066 She mostly creates small objects from her arms and legs, and even when she creates a large enough object for huge skin access to necessary, she does it by destroying the back of her costume. I can't remember her actually needing her boob window. A leotard without a back and maybe some side/belly windows (for fat access) would be more functional than the thing she has now.
Honestly why not just take the Raven route with Momo's outfit, just have a cloak that will cover the easily tearable leotard and it might even give protection
@@missmarshmallow5775 but there would be no point if your protection keeps getting grabbed at, it will be wasted on replenishing. I still agree most things are still way more practical than her canon outfit

Yeh, I don't think she needs to be as big as Hulk, but I think they should increase in size as much as his does. Also...Mybe don't make her as annoying as humanly possible, but that's none of my business... 🍵
I didn't even know about she-hulk but omfg the anger ppl felt is valid. Just looking at their version of she-hulk was rage inducing. Why can't they just make a big strong women. The waisted potential is palpable.
I love hottopic Momo's fancy zippers lol theyre so much more her style than my velcro idea. And imo your ballerina design isnt that far off something she'd wear seeing as most of her personal clothes are stereotypical "old money" fancy. Idk WHAT they were thinking with her hero costume lmao
South-east Asian here, your redesign of Sisu is really fantastic! It definitely looks a lot more familiar and from our region. When I saw promotions for the movie Sisu I didn’t even know it was supposed to be Southeast Asia haha
I appreciate the Mineta slander Also, flowy clothing is actually very momo! She’s shown wearing mainly lightweight lacy clothing outside of her uniform and hero costume, besides a few outfits that are more traditionally Japanese :) An entirely separate rant- I think momos original costume doesn’t make sense with her character. She’s very shy and insecure in many ways, and logically she’d probably go with a back window. She also has a bookshelf on her back, which,,, like,,, yeah. So with that book, the idea is that the book is written by her and has all the molecular formulas she needs. However, when she’s such a practical character, it would make more sense in their semi-futuristic world if she had some sort of smart watch type device instead.
Yeah, the backless outfit would make the most sense in terms of keeping things modest (She's a young girl, and also... let's be hounest, Any girl would look at that fit and *know* that any sudden move would make her chest pop right out) It's just straight-up impractical. What I would have LOVED, is if they stick with that costume design, but she struggles and complains about it, and then later that year (when everyone is getting their proper suits) she gets a *real* costume she can wear. And it's such an improvement and you can see her growth really explode once she finds a fit that accommodates *her*, not the other way around. oh no... but that would actually be a good value for young girls.... :( Never mind, scrap that.
but I feel like instead of silver and light blue, gold and that velvety red color would be better for her. keep the flowy stuff, but I actually really think those colors match good with her character and that kind of almost responsible, regal thing she's got going on instead of colors more for someone with a more really energetic and bubbly personality.
I’m literally obsessed with Momo’s hoodie string idea it’s so perfect and easy to use in the midst of battle I love MHA and am always so upset with her design so it’s refreshing
Careful, a guy called taz-e4jl or somethin is this comment section criticizing people for liking the momo redesign justifying it not working well at all (probably trying to cover up his desire for the sexualized costume), I pray he doesnt find yours
For Momo i feel like she would never have such a perfect figure thanks to her quirk. Like, she needs fat cells to make stuff so she’d probably be chubbier. Or she’d be unhealthy because she’s expending more than she’s taking in. There’s no way she could have that figure and be that healthy
Yeah if she’s gonna stay skinny they better push it to where it’s obviously negatively affecting her. Like I’m demanding I can see bone outlines. It’d be good for a lesson in nutrition.
This is why I love jojo's character designs. Not only are the male designs JUST as fanservice-y as the female ones (half the dudes are wearing crop tops or have boob windows or just no shirt at all), they also never make excuses for why characters dress like they do, or even really mention it. That's just what they wear.
I don’t know why people don’t talk about kirishima, his whole chest is unexposed but it’s okay? His quirk also accommodates it and can be described as fan service but no one else comments on it.
@@sunflowersuccs like, seriously! Theres so many weird and funky quirks and characters so they really let us down with Momo, she has so much potential but they threw it all away by making her so fan service-y :((
I never noticed the human eye thing until you mentioned it. I always wondered why the animals in older barbie movies gave me weird vibes. Especially the turtle. Obviously their colors aren't realistic but I'd see them and my little girl brain would be like, "yeah that's normal!...?"
With Canon!Momo, I always just keep thinking “couldn’t she have just done shorts and a cropped shirt and just…add holes where she needs them (like the back and a smaller hole on the front of the shirt and leave the stomach open if needed) y’know…for practicality since she has to move a lot and it needs to hold them girls properly”, but the designs are really cool looking!
It's weird how 90 percent of the time Momo doesn't even use the exposed skin on her chest to create stuff, it's usually through her arms. I once found a prototype Momo, and she had more of a crop top look going for her that doesn't expose her chest (it still exposed a lot of skin, just not the chest) and I thought it looked cooler and definitely more practical than her official design.
I could never get the design for Yaoyorozu’s hero outfit. She can already make things with her arms exposed, yet she needs to open her chest window to make things like ladders and scarves, and also makes some things using her back even though that part is not exposed.
If she really needed an open chest couldn't she use a trans tape like material but made for sports? Then just add the same thing over her collar like lavendertowne did It would fix most of her issues and still wouldn't be fan service-y
iirc, the reason she needed to use her back to make the blanket thing (my mind is blanking on the actual thing she made) because it was a big item and also had to protect against kaminari's electricity quirk. not trying to excuse anything, just explaining the context of the situtation from what i remember
@@gayceofspades That's not excusing anything. If the situation necessitates a unique result due to the size of the construct, that's just in-line with the established laws of the function. If Momo could just pop-out these huge constructs from her hand, there'd be a way less balanced quirk. And if there are less grounded rules for an OP function, the character becomes overpowered, and harder to get invested in. Making fight scenes with said character less tense, because there are less limits on the character's power.
@@greco-romano9852 I say "not trying to excuse anything" as a precaution because many times I've explained that situation before and gotten heated replies saying I was excusing it lol. MHA fans are scary sometimes....
@@gayceofspades Nah yeah, I figured. Folk jump to conclusions and create an anti-bias before even hearing a fully fleshed-out thought. If there's a conversation to be had, it should be tackled like it's a coming conversation-- not like it's an off-hand statement. One implies a begining to a narrative, the other is a packaged-and-shipped idea.
Let's be honest here, the "Hot Topic solution" would be very in character for Momo. She's smart and classy, and Haley's design for it just looks great with her I love Momo but god her canon hero outfit just makes me want to sob 😭 And on Sisu, the problem with Sisu's blue color is that the blue's in naga statues are more vibrant and saturated, majority of the time you see hints of yellow/gold/red too. Really wished Sisu's design stuck to the concept where she had hints of hot pink, very flowy hair and tail, intricate patterning on her bottom half, and horns. It's farr more accurate to what nagas look like. Oh plus, strong and big women supremacy. Come on Disney everyone LOOOVED Luisa don't be a coward let She Hulk be big and stonk and wide.
The problem with Momo’s redesign is it doesn’t (properly) account for the MASSIVE creations she has to make (like a cannon heavy enough to slow down a power transformation type quirk)
it also doesn't account for zipper jamming. Having a hole in her back doesn't give her easy access to her creations. You can't cover her skin without giving problems to her quirk use. So the only solution would be to change her quirk
@@darkrl591 The ballerina redesign would also work with literally one tweak in character. Have her tell her friends that her parents wanted her to do something productive with her free time growing up. Fits the rich kid side, could be tied into her loneliness if you say she was privately tutored, and could play into her inferiority complex by having her be naturally gifted but now she is just a normal fish in a normal pond. The more write the more I think I want to create a fanfic where this is added.
Tossing in my two cents for the character designs. I really like the Momo solution, the zippers and back flap is super creative! Another possible solution I've seen people talk about, is meshing made from her hair, it's organic/part of her so it should be possible for things to pass through. Even though I liked Raya and was in love with the art, the dragon designs are very generic. I feel like the original concept design would've been perfect. Given that Sisu is based on several mythological snakes and dragons and not just the naga and is a water dragon the eel/koi/catfish combo fits like a glove. For She-Hulk I love the way you redesigned her, giving her a more sensible body shape for a 'female hulk', she looks like she could bench press Thor now and not the Party-City green body paint of before.
I always thought Momo would best be served with a sports bra/ form fitting crop top And matching shorts. Boom she has her whole midsection, legs, and arms open for her quirk and shes resonably modest.
9:10 apparently the design team *wanted* to have shehulk be big and muscular but the directors said she "needs to be smaller" so go figure, its "women cant be strong" again
I love the idea of Momo who is a typically strong epic character, wearing cute frilly dresses. Ballet requires a lot of muscle and training, so it would still suit her. Also I stan your she-hulk design. She is cool, curvy and gorgeous!
Your Sisu is gorgeous! As someone from South Asia I really wish the movie's Sisu had looked more like yours, it really captures the style and vibrancy of what our classic statues look like!
The annoying part about Momo’s character design is that the Author contrived an excuse for Mirio (another character whose quirk doesn’t work with clothes) to have an operational hero costume, yet he isnt willing to do this for Momo. I enjoy the interesting conversation about personal responsibility versus personal goals in MHA, but boy is the creepy fan service distracting.
You realize momo’s quirk works by creating objects from the lipids inside her body right, I’m not sure how a suit is going to expel the lipids in place of her skin or allow her to ignore that mass can’t overlap. What exactly would the explanation even be for her suit creating objects that her skin is supposed to expel. How would the suit itself be using her lipids
6:46 YES THE BOOK OF LIFE!!! Such an underrated movie, the character designs are absolutely stunning and I love how stylized it is! The story is also *chefs kiss*
the issue with momo is that theres already a solution for her outfit, and yet they still use her to sexualise her. In the show, the hero suits can be made out of the persons own skin and hair parts so their powers don't interfere, like with phasing through walls, you don't want your clothes coming off. So she could've had normal clothes..
My problem with Momo's character design goes past just her outfit. In the manga her and Ochako are chubbier, And they completely changed that for the anime...
This right here! Her and Ochako were canon chubby and still looked cute and beautiful. When they were animated, all of that was scrapped and thrown out the window. In the Manga, the body proportions are way more realistic and very respectful to sizes and body shapes. I agree her outfit is pretty oversexualized, but to completely ignore her canon body type is really hurting her character and who she is.
@@HiBuddyyyyyy exactly! A better fat buildup would help her make more things with her quirk, but from what I understand the anime thought that that would take away from her 'appeal' 😡
there weight is inconsistent and most of the panels people bring up to prove there arguments are closer to being errors then there actual normal proportions.
11:09 and Luisa from Encanto being so popular that they were short on her dolls and ended up with backstorage of the more conventionally attractive Isabela. Disney, I KNOW you KnOw that people get behind large women.
what's sad is that the fact that at the beginning of Ray and the Last dragon, the dragons are introduced with a really cool style, super stylistics and colorful! Sisu was introduced with beautiful yellows and blues and I am so sad that those colors were not used : (
I LOVE THIS VIDEO! THANK YOU! I feel like everyone's biggest issue with momo is the excuses and her age. "Well she needs things to come out of her skin!" but Bakugo literally wears gloves. And also she's a child. And I'm sick of people sexualizing children.
Its also very ironic that Mirio's suit was customized to his quirk so he doesn't get naked whenever he uses it and yet Momo hasn't considered it, she's from a rich family and is intelligent so she would have known about that being a thing. She could've utilized it for her hero costume but alas not :/
@@SeraphOfTheStone yeah its almost like if the designer really wanted to they can make an excuse for a character not showing skin or vice versa and the explanation for momos power is exactly the same as the "she looks like a child but is 500 years old" thing because momo is fictional and her powers and costume work the way the creator wants them too and it is not actually that hard to come up with a different explanation. momos outfit looks that way not because of her power, but because thats what the designer wanted.
Bakugo is unironically one if not my favorite chacter designs works on a meta and a normal story reason while still showing off the chacter to the audience Literally none of that goes into momo
the light fury, would love to see ya tackle that one. its been years and i'm still slightly salty about her design (especially when the first design attempt was damn near perfect, just needed tweeking) maybe the night lights too? they're also fugly af lol no hate to those who like their design tho! not trying to start discorse we all have out own view of things
Yeah again the light fury focuses on femininity and grace, rather than realism. Just like the she-hulk original design. The light fury should be more big, like most female reptiles, she should be strong, she should be rough, and she should be more I don’t know- realistic as toothless. Of course he’s a male so the stereotype is to make him big, with tons of claws and scales etc- (I personally don’t agree with the stereotypes because it’s a fricken Animal, and animal sexual dimorphism is different then humans) they should definitely change her design
@@felixsfreckles6822 yes, one of httyd best qualities was the way their dragons looked like animals that could have for their environment, the flying nocturnal predator would be all black to blend in with the nightsky theres no reason like this for any of the light fury's design choices, she could have been light blue on the stomach for hunting in the day and then white on top cause Light furies nest on mountain tops, she might be all white cause Light Furies live in tundras which would explain the difference between Night and Light furies as a brown versus polar bear thing but this isnt reflected in any other parts of her design because all choices were made with the goal of making her look like toothless' girlfriend, so shes smaller, has a shorter wingspan and tiny ears despite none of that being advantageous for survival also the design is just boring, and the sexual dimorphism seen in reptiles and birds would have been way more interesting to see than what we got
@@komiccomik4796 well, toothless was kinda more based on a cat/dag more than a reptile (behavioural wise anyway) and his facial features were pretty much poached from Stitch (I think I read somewhere about the same designer working on them both?). I have no problem with the light fury really, I found the white they used so satisfying, and I'm happy with them being similar sizes cus it's good to be more equal in a relationship. I know he's an animal but he's also a character too. He's a person. We don't have to get too accurate, the animal kingdom's a brutal place where half the females eat or lay eggs in their mates when they're done 😅 Of course my opinion won't be your opinion and the design is very subjective. It would have been pretty neat to see a different interpretation so here's to whichever alternate universe got to see that😂
It’s really sad tbh with the situation with momo I actually loved her character when I watched the anime but I wished her outfit was different like there’s soo many different ways she could use her quirk without looking like a fan service character which I like about you design/ver because I allows her to use a quirk without looking like the definition of a fan Service character.
@@SeraphOfTheStone Idk how they look super skinny? I mean, they've never been shown to have any bodily disorders or something in the anime, so this just comes off as body-shaming for being thin. Given that their body types are common irl.
I disagree. As a teen girl myself, I personally don't think showing a little cleavage is fan service - it's only sexual in context. Breasts and showing skin aren't inherently sexual in most contexts anyway, I wish we could normalize human bodies rather sexualize them 😓
@@renaria3160To add those body types are common especially on the eastern side of the world and sometimes Europe, it depends on portions in said country

Disney: we’re gonna make an overpowered woman superhero to prove we’re not sexist. Intern: Oh cool, does that mean we give a buffer physique to match her strength despite the fact that it might not be seen as conventionally attractive? Disney: woah now lets not go crazy. Misogyny is part of our charm.
the dragon color pallet feels like it should have more to it, as it is a bit boring, but I think that, since she's like "swimmer dragon", cool colors with a bit of black and white and silver, along with a bit of that very 'shy green', would be pretty cool for the pallet color and your design would match perfectly
Sisu’s design bothered the whole time I watched it, the main thing for me was the lack of reptilian features, there are many types of dragons and it varies from place to place, but the ONE thing that’s always there is that they’re reptiles, they’re scaly and such. But Sisu is fluffy all over, and doesn’t resemble any depictions of dragons I’ve ever seen. I love the design you made for all the characters though.
Momo can only make things out of the fat on her body, so it would’ve probably been more realistic to have her a bit chubbier, but then again, if her fat is turning into things there wouldn’t be much left over, kinda like fatgum, idk, this was just a thought I added to as I wrote. I really love your hero outfit’s for her.
Ngl I like sisu better without the human eyebrows and irises. Like how you did her. But also I enjoyed how fluffy she was because to me it seemed they took a bit of inspiration from fluffier chinese dragons(sorta like falkor from the never-ending story).
Absolutely LOVE the idea of techwear for Momo. It'd be such a sick animation of her just zipping her outfit and the sparkle/light just being revealed and she creates the item. Bruh, I can only imagineeee
I really like Momo's second dress. It's super cute, and I agree, it would be fun watching stuff fall out from it magical girl style instead of it simply being ripped off!
10:28 Reminds me of Luisa from Encanto. She was big and brawny and admittingly I think she is just as beautiful as Isabella and Mirabel (I think they're all really pretty)
Her outfit needs to balance access to skin and protection for her skin from attacks. So the ballet outfit leans more toward access, while the zipper outfit leans more toward protection. Canon outfit or a swimsuit offers barely any protection at all. Which is stupid.
@@joda7697 well her hero suit was obviously designed to enhance her quirk a lot more azawa even said that Momo is very dependent of her quirk so it's possible that her hero suit was designed more to be based off her quirk then safety

@@Castigar48 A very stupid reason to sexualize a 16 year old girl and call it “character design.” Let’s be honest; That’s literally the only reason her costume is basically nothing. This video proves that you can have a really well designed and interesting hero suit for her if you just try. There’s no excuse for her costume looking the way it does other than “she’s supposed to be fan-service and this outfit lets us see her cleavage.”
LavenderTowne explaining everything with her beautiful voice is just calming, She never tries to rush and always explain things with details. And whenever I look at her art I don't just look at it, you can actually feel the vibe and understand what she is trying to do which also proves that she is dedicated. Her art is thoughtful and beautiful. She is amazing ❤️❤️❤️
Ok these designs are AWESOME. I love how creative you got with them, and how respectful you were to the original art and artists. Super cool art, super cool commentary!
"There's a Canon reason" Translation: there is a lame excuse shoved into Canon so that the writer or artist doesn't have to analyze their of creepy or sexist projections of girls and women.
There can be good canon explanations; the character likes dressing that way. Obviously there are limits due to practicality and stuff but there are loads of stylised costumes that’s explanations are that the character just likes dressing that way. If the character is a minor then maybe don’t do that for obvious reasons and also don’t have every female character dress in a fan service-y way too. Honestly the explanations I heard in the video made it worse imo.
@@StarPichu12 yeah, I was just saying that there is an easy explanation that’ll make sense to readers more than… she has a boob window because she doesn’t have a special symbol like superman...
South Asian here - I absolutely love Sisu's redesign! The added details and different eyes really stood out to me and really felt more like a Naga. The change of colour palette is really great too, and adding the gold accents to the blue was a very nice choice. Gold colours in Nagas are extremely common.
As an Indonesian, Sisu reminds me of FINLAND more than anywhere near southeast Asia. Not only are there the icy cold vibes from the color palette (really not seen around southeast asia, which is hot and humid af), the word "sisu" in Finnish is a mental state that can be translated roughly as courage. It's a "gotta get this done, regardless of whatever emotions try to push me from this" type of vibe.
Respect from Finland. Sisu is not just about doing something regardless of emotions, but also conditions outside of ones mind. "There's millions of kilos of snow and I did not put on enough clothes, I'm pissed as all hell and hungry but damn it I will cut down this tree even if Devil himself came to stop me."
I didn't know what Sisu was from at first and I honestly thought she was an Elsa monster design for Frozen 2 or smth. Like Elsa would turn into an ice dragon. But for other character designs people have beef with...the live action Monster High.
When she was redesigning Sisu I told my little cousin that that’s what Sisu looked like before she was about to watch the movie, she said “ eww, what is that thing” and I said “ that’s the dragon from the movie” . She didn’t watch the movie after that lmao
The second design you made for Momo Yaoyorozu honestly wouldn't be that far fetched, since a flowy and elegant look would definitely work for her. She's rich, incredibly so, and because the dress (/two-part?) you made looks very clean and elegant and overall fancy, it definitely seems like something she'd wear if in a colour such as red. Her other outfit would definitely work too
Yeah! And I also just like the idea that she would twirl so she could get access to areas of her body that were being covered. So she could twirl, make like a bunch of blades and attack any enemy nearby while looking elegant and graceful with her ballerina like twirling.
I LOVE your take on Momo's hero outfit, it's way more practical and more age appropriate for a teenager, I really like the idea of having all the zipped segments she can undo when needed and the back flap is genius!!
You know what they say, the hate and love are on the same spectrum. And something just need a little bit of love. The flowy look and spinning fits me / Lillie oddly enough abit but I can see her do it for more of a fun occasion
The official Momo design not having a zipper is ridiculous. It makes total sense and is an obvious addition to have zippers (or anything that can open and close clothing). On a mission, Momo would get cold and want to zip up. Horikoshi was too lost in the sauce of fan service that they forgot you could have her costume be both fan service and practical.
Ok but here's the thing Every time she would use her powers, she would unzip her costume and create something, and then zip it again However considering she would be in a battle, she would need to constantly create stuff, which also means she would need to constantly unzip her clothes Which begs the following question : why not just keep it unzipped ? Which is why Momo's design is fine
@@mysmallnoman Answer. Zip it up when not fighting and even when fighting, it doesn’t leave her unreasonably exposed and with an intact outfit. I don’t even watch MHA but sheesh.
@@infinityheart_tm9270 she still needs to have a MASSIVE amount of skin exposed to to create important stuff, like when she created an actual canon from her body in S5 joint training arc, having some of her clothes being zipped work get in the way of that Oh wait, you admitted you don't watch MHA, so your opinion on the series is automatically dumb
@@infinityheart_tm9270Wouldn’t that just mean that the areas would become more exposed anyways but now it’s just more work to open? You would still see those areas regardless. Idk why people are making such a fuss over it. She doesn’t need a redesign, but just make her skirt area just a bit longer and her keyhole a tad smaller. That’s really all you need to do. But opinions are opinions.
the open back for Momo has so much comedic potential, like how in older cartoons characters just pulled things from nothing behind their back
Omg that's great
I personally think that Momo's character design is not the problem I think it's the way it was viewed and the community was the problem

@@Izzy_edits_Izzy
No one can look at her design and say that it wasnt designed just to sexualize her and uts not even a good character design by default. The colors mix well at all and her skin exposure doesnt balance out anything. Her cloth design just makes it worse

i remember reading that luisa's designers for encanto fought so hard to give her huge muscles... and disney prepping loads of isabella's figures. luisa ones ended up being dramatically more popular, because honestly, people are tired of seeing small girls everywhere
YES. LUISA my beloved buff lady
That says a lot.

I really actually like that they have both a skinny character and a buff character, I think it's nice lol
I wonder if the way Isabella was portrayed in encanto has something to do with it as well
Like, I know of a few people who walked away from the movie not liking Isabella and idk how many younger kids (the kind who usually buy dolls) would relate to her story and see her as anything other than unlikable
Idk, I’m not trying to disagree, just adding onto op’s comment
I don't know anything about the She-Hulk, but I personally love imagining her as a tiny, petite, woman who just EXPLODES into an absolute mountain of muscle the moment she gets pissed and activates her powers.
OMG YESSSS
YES, I would love to see that
thats basically how Hulk is too, hes a nerdy guy who turns into a big green monster when hes angry.
Why is nobody talking about how lavender was struggling to draw a lawyer behind she hulk so she just put a stock image instead? I literally died 💀

I THOUGHT IT WAS LIKE A HEIGHT DIFFERENCE THING
Oml, I just looked up the concept art and it is GORGEOUS! Why the heck didn't they go with that?!
I just looked it up, and she looked like a weedy sea dragon!!! AH! Why didn't they stick with that? That would have been so much better.

Too complicated. Too much time and effort. Time and effort are money. Disney only cares about money.
I’m happy I read through that
I like how the Momo redesign is actually cool looking. People will remake costumes but forget fashion and function can exist in the same room.
Yeah! I also thought the same. I guess dont judge the book by its cover huh.

@@semidecent4395 I honestly like the other old outfit more but its your opinion and I get why you like the raincoat looking one!
This reminds me, there was another costume design I really liked, I think it was one of the top fav characters and she was number 10.
(It still had its revealing parts though)
The costume works with her quirk, covered her up enough & still looked stylish. Plus with the zippers added would of course help if she needs to make something quick 😃
Am I making sense 😅
The way Lavendertowne made multiple attempts to draw her own business man, just to put a stock image of a business man during the She-Hulk segment is painfully relatable. Then when it's the final pictures he's gone again lol
I was skeptical seeing an attempt to resign Momo in the thumbnail, cause I haven't really seen many attempts I liked... but... The zipper suit idea for Momo is a stroke of genius. Suits her personality and powers. She could even keep the book of components she carries in an inside pocket or something.
Wouldn’t she still need to get naked which is the biggest complaint of the original design lol

Agreed

I'm guessing they made her fluffy so they can sell toys of her with brushable hair 🤦 Disney why are you like this
Another thing that really gets me about how fluffy she is: aquatic animals aren’t fluffy.
Horikoshi actually said that what she originally drew violated the dress code so she had to change it to the unitard thing
@@Oxnugget well now I’m just surprised, curious, and even more confused... So unless Momo sent in something similar to the concept art, what could she have possibly sent them that was SO bad that her current hero costume isn’t violating the dress code?

Such wasted potential :P
@@9ightdreamer mm. Although she's smart and has good leadership skills, all she's used for for the most part is "Omg, LoOk! My bOoBs are exposed!"
Zipper jamming??? No! Never!

South-east Asian here, your redesign of Sisu is really fantastic! It definitely looks a lot more familiar and from our region. When I saw promotions for the movie Sisu I didn’t even know it was supposed to be Southeast Asia haha
As a person from Indonesia, I really thought from the trailer that they just made up some kind of typical fantasy world.
I appreciate the Mineta slander
Also, flowy clothing is actually very momo! She’s shown wearing mainly lightweight lacy clothing outside of her uniform and hero costume, besides a few outfits that are more traditionally Japanese :)
An entirely separate rant- I think momos original costume doesn’t make sense with her character.
Yeah, the backless outfit would make the most sense in terms of keeping things modest (She's a young girl, and also... let's be hounest, Any girl would look at that fit and *know* that any sudden move would make her chest pop right out)
It's just straight-up impractical.

Agreed
It's weird how 90 percent of the time Momo doesn't even use the exposed skin on her chest to create stuff, it's usually through her arms. I once found a prototype Momo, and she had more of a crop top look going for her that doesn't expose her chest (it still exposed a lot of skin, just not the chest) and I thought it looked cooler and definitely more practical than her official design.
It's an easy fix honestly which just goes to show how her current outfit is simply for fanservice.
Then just add the same thing over her collar like lavendertowne did
It would fix most of her issues and still wouldn't be fan service-y
iirc, the reason she needed to use her back to make the blanket thing (my mind is blanking on the actual thing she made) because it was a big item and also had to protect against kaminari's electricity quirk. not trying to excuse anything, just explaining the context of the situtation from what i remember
@@gayceofspades
That's not excusing anything.

I love Momo but god her canon hero outfit just makes me want to sob 😭
And on Sisu, the problem with Sisu's blue color is that the blue's in naga statues are more vibrant and saturated, majority of the time you see hints of yellow/gold/red too.
@@darkrl591And changing her quirk would be stupid.

The hair-mesh idea sounds so coolll wow. Wish they would've had that as her design.

Yeah again the light fury focuses on femininity and grace, rather than realism. Just like the she-hulk original design. The light fury should be more big, like most female reptiles, she should be strong, she should be rough, and she should be more I don’t know- realistic as toothless. @@felixsfreckles6822 yes, one of httyd best qualities was the way their dragons looked like animals that could have for their environment, the flying nocturnal predator would be all black to blend in with the nightsky
theres no reason like this for any of the light fury's design choices, she could have been light blue on the stomach for hunting in the day and then white on top cause Light furies nest on mountain tops, she might be all white cause Light Furies live in tundras which would explain the difference between Night and Light furies as a brown versus polar bear thing but this isnt reflected in any other parts of her design because all choices were made with the goal of making her look like toothless' girlfriend, so shes smaller, has a shorter wingspan and tiny ears despite none of that being advantageous for survival
also the design is just boring, and the sexual dimorphism seen in reptiles and birds would have been way more interesting to see than what we got
We don't have to get too accurate, the animal kingdom's a brutal place where half the females eat or lay eggs in their mates when they're done 😅
Of course my opinion won't be your opinion and the design is very subjective. It would have been pretty neat to see a different interpretation so here's to whichever alternate universe got to see that😂
Whaaa I think the night lights are adorable!
Her design in the manga is way better. Horikoshi didnt make the girls super skinny like the anime did. He made them look realistic.
@@SeraphOfTheStone the bodies don't really matter
@@SeraphOfTheStone Idk how they look super skinny? I mean, they've never been shown to have any bodily disorders or something in the anime, so this just comes off as body-shaming for being thin. Given that their body types are common irl.
I disagree. As a teen girl myself, I personally don't think showing a little cleavage is fan service - it's only sexual in context. Breasts and showing skin aren't inherently sexual in most contexts anyway, I wish we could normalize human bodies rather sexualize them 😓
@@renaria3160To add those body types are common especially on the eastern side of the world and sometimes Europe, it depends on portions in said country
hi! i’m a thai person here, and I really like your new design for sisi which is inspired by Naga. you did an amazing job with your new designs!
LavenderTowne hating on Mineta is all I needed in life tbh. Slander the grape man, he deserves it.
Sisu's original design is literally Elsa but furry
Elsas fursona x
I just came back to this channel after a long time and I'm so surprised! The new intro is amazing and I feel like you're getting more comfortable in your videos, I'm glad to be back ^^
welcome back ! 💕🍓
You're so right about "all I want to do, is see you turn into a giant woman"! I'm obsessed with huge buff ladies, they're the best!
I loved your redesign for Momo, the first uniform is sooooo cool and seems really pratical to her according to her quirk
I think she was slimmed down from the manga to the show.
@@SuchitaBhattacharya Yeah, a lot of the girls were :/
They can't accept chubby girls
It would make sense for her to be the size shown. She's constantly using(burning) fat
@@Castigar48 Yeah, I realise that.
The hot topic clothes 4 momo should be canon.
I really love how you do this- also your videos are literally so calming that I feel asleep to them once-😀
you’re not alone man i used to fall asleep to her vids all the time

Momo: needs exposed skin to use her quirk
Me: a swimsuit 😎
Yes but it really depends. She needs a suit to make it comfortable for her to fight, I don't know if a swimsuit is that comfortable for her
She needs a jacket she can just unzip when she needs too
Her outfit needs to balance access to skin and protection for her skin from attacks.
@@Izzy_edits_Izzy Well yeah, but it's a bad design. There are better ways to optimize quirk access without compromising protection to that degree.
Pic 1: "Love it, yeah the rationalized fanservice is just lazy."
Pic 2: "Woah, that's a cool pallette! Yeah they should've been more intricate with that."
Pic 3: "Mommy? Sorry, mommy? Sorry, mommy? Sor-"
Everyone (including me) is the same abt the third re-design
How dare the creator give a reason for things in his story!!!!
YES
@@Castigar48 A very stupid reason to sexualize a 16 year old girl and call it “character design.” Let’s be honest;
That’s literally the only reason her costume is basically nothing.
This video proves that you can have a really well designed and interesting hero suit for her if you just try. There’s no excuse for her costume looking the way it does other than “she’s supposed to be fan-service and this outfit lets us see her cleavage.”
@@astrocake584 what abt the male chars being shirtless or finding excuse to rip their shirts off?
LavenderTowne explaining everything with her beautiful voice is just calming, She never tries to rush and always explain things with details. And whenever I look at her art I don't just look at it, you can actually feel the vibe and understand what she is trying to do which also proves that she is dedicated. Her art is thoughtful and beautiful. She is amazing ❤️❤️❤️
the sisu redesign is ABSOLUTELY STUNNING, it’s accurate to the species history and looks super cool
Ok these designs are AWESOME. I love how creative you got with them, and how respectful you were to the original art and artists. Super cool art, super cool commentary!
"There's a Canon reason"
Translation: there is a lame excuse shoved into Canon so that the writer or artist doesn't have to analyze their of creepy or sexist projections of girls and women.
...
So true, I wish more people understood this
There can be good canon explanations; the character likes dressing that way.
@@HiBuddyyyyyy Key word there mate CAN have, do not mistake that for DOES have XD
@@StarPichu12 yeah, I was just saying that there is an easy explanation that’ll make sense to readers more than… she has a boob window because she doesn’t have a special symbol like superman...
Why did I get really happy when she mentioned “Giant Woman” 😭
11:45 I love the picture of the guy just in a suit in the corner
fuck banana for scale, Random Man In Suit for scale!!!
I didn't know what Sisu was from at first and I honestly thought she was an Elsa monster design for Frozen 2 or smth. Like Elsa would turn into an ice dragon. But for other character designs people have beef with...the live action Monster High.
Same here some characters i cant even tell who there supposed to be
Like Lagoona
FR- they lookin like they bought costumes from pound land or smn
When she was redesigning Sisu I told my little cousin that that’s what Sisu looked like before she was about to watch the movie, she said “ eww, what is that thing” and I said “ that’s the dragon from the movie” . She didn’t watch the movie after that lmao
11:08 LavenderTowne: "All I wanna do is see you turn into a Giant Woman-"
Me: Aw HELL YEAHHHHH!
Ok but here's the thing
Every time she would use her powers, she would unzip her costume and create something, and then zip it again
However considering she would be in a battle, she would need to constantly create stuff, which also means she would need to constantly unzip her clothes
Which begs the following question : why not just keep it unzipped ? Which is why Momo's design is fine
@@mysmallnoman Answer.
Zip it up when not fighting and even when fighting, it doesn’t leave her unreasonably exposed and with an intact outfit. I don’t even watch MHA but sheesh.
@@infinityheart_tm9270 she still needs to have a MASSIVE amount of skin exposed to to create important stuff, like when she created an actual canon from her body in S5 joint training arc, having some of her clothes being zipped work get in the way of that
Oh wait, you admitted you don't watch MHA, so your opinion on the series is automatically dumb
The zipper could get stuck and lead to her death so no it’s not practical.
