I’ve really been in love with gingham for a while now, and your take on it for this baby quilt is just adorable! My vote is a YES for more content like this. Your creativity is infectious! ❤️-Brenda
I’m not trying to step on anyone’s toes, but I hate to cut, because of wrist issues, so if you cut strips 3 1/2” by WOF, you only need two different strips sets. Sew the strips sets together. The dark w/strawberries and the light w/strawberries. Then sub cut into 3 1/2” sets. Then sew the dark and light sub cut sets, together. Saves a lot of cutting and wrist pain. Plz don’t be offended. Wasn’t meant to be. Your fabric is sew cute. Love the pin cushion. Thanks
Great pattern and fabric! I've been buying fabric in three colors that will someday make their way into a quilt. I love this pattern, too. Glad I saw your vid😅eo, because I now need to make a baby quilt considering I have two new grandchildren. Thank you for making this tutorial. I'll be back for more! And thank uou for the pattern too! ❤
A beautiful quilt top. Thank you for the tutorial, love the fabrics. Noticed your blouse is the same as the red fabric. Would love to see more very easy quilt top designs.
Love the web quilting. Thought i didnt need to watch because i knew how to make a 4 spuare quilt. Your voice and manner are so calming to me and i got a golden nugget technique. ❤❤❤
Thanks for sharing how you put this quilt top together. The fabric is so cute and your blouse with the dark fabric turned out very nice as well! I have not yet really tackled any quilting. I have been sewing for many many moons but quilting always seemed to look fussy or difficult and pretty expensive. But you made it look pretty doable and especially a great way to use up a lot of my scrap fabric stash. Thanks again!
Watching your videos over the past few days has given me back my sew-jo...it had totally disappeared. I have reorganized my sewing space and cleaned up a bunch of wips and I find myself in actual joy in the morning when I am sewing, whether mug rugs, pillow cases, seat belt covers for my bestie who has a chemo port. I have many of your patterns on my horizon. Thank you for your common sense, well structured videos. Why was I not using my walking foot ? my tube turners ? my small iron ? I shake my head in wonder every morning...thank you, thank you, thank you....
Thank you so much for sharing this tutorial!!! I started sewing last year and my son was born earlier this year. I’ve always wanted to make a quilt for him but had no idea where to begin but this makes it feel so manageable. I can’t wait to try this method!!!
Omgoodness this is just darling👏👏👏! Yes keep them coming!!! I really enjoy your channel and appreciate that you are using and sharing your talents from God. ❤️😀
Love this! I can’t wait to make a gingham quilt. I recently discovered the webbing technique and it has made a huge difference in the Scrappy Irish Chain quilt I’m working on now. The blocks have 81 patches and since I place each square individually, the webbing makes it faster, easier, and more accurate. Thanks for this video. That quilt is adorable!
I JUST discovered this video while looking for a beginner friendly quilt tutorial for a friend's wedding, but now I wanna use this for my sister's baby as well! 😊❤❤
I just stumbled across your tutorial and really liked it as I am a newbie quilter with a lot of stash I really need to bust ! I liked and subscribed and would really like to see more ! Thanks for sharing.
I discovered you today! I need to make another baby quilt and I didn't want to make the same one. I never thought of gingham design. Thank you Your sewing machine sounds like it needs some oil, please forgive me if you oiled it before you started
My friend is having a baby girl this spring & I had thought I would make a rag quilt but this tutorial has me considering this design 😅 I love the shirt you are wearing at the beginning ❤ Can you share the pattern/where to find?
How does the stitching not unravel between the squares when you first see them together then cut them apart? Do you have to go back over sections? Making my first quilt for my upcoming first baby! 😁
Hey there! It says you need 1 yard of medium fabric batting, 1 yard for binding, and 1 yard for backing. It’s just all in one sentence instead of separately:)
“If you can sew a straight line…” I’m already in trouble 😂
Haha!
Lol
Same. Sew it crocked. A finished quilt Isa perfect quilt... (It helps me sleep at night lol)
🤣🤣
🤣🤣🤣

Thank you, Brenda! :)
I’m so inspired, I’m pulling out fabric right now! Thank you Nikki!
I excited to get some fabric to start this quilt. This will be my first. Thanks for taking the time to do the video.
That is an adorable quilt.
❤ My husband just bought me a new sewing machine for Christmas, I haven't sewn for years! I am so excited! ❤
Awesome, have fun!

Such a sweet quilt. The 1/4" foot with the guide is just wonderful. It actually came with my Janome many moons ago.

Yes, it really doesn’t have to be super time consuming or expensive!

Very sweet pattern and fabrics. 💟
Beautiful and such a clear tutorial. Love the finished quilt.

Thank you. Also thank you for the free printable guide.

It’s so cute. I loved the tutorial!
So cute! I agree about the foot. I have a similar one on my Juki and also one on my Bernina. It is a game changer for sure!!
Thank you for sharing your talents with us. I love your fabric choice and it came out so cute!🍓🍓
A great tutorial! I thoroughly enjoyed it and learned a lot!
Very sweet baby quilt. Thanks for the video 😊👍💕
Yes please do more of these.
I see Gary on Sunday. Just working in yard on Saturday and staying out of the rain.
Beautiful! I will make one like that! Thanks for sharing your video 🙏💖
You are the best my dearest ♥️ I'm learning quilting and I was givingup . But I'm motived that it possible
I discovered you today! I need to make another baby quilt and I didn't want to make the same one. I never thought of gingham design. Thank you Your sewing machine sounds like it needs some oil, please forgive me if you oiled it before you started
I am due to oil it! But also, it’s semi-industrial so it’s not the quietest 😆
Thank you for sharing 😊👍🏻👍🏻🤗
Cool
A lovely quilt!
Enjoyed! I plan to try!
Somehow I learned you are in Ky! My home state as well!
I love this pattern! You could use any size square, right?
Yes you can!
Love it ❤
I have been enjoying your content, thank you for sharing!!! I am just learning to sew🧶❤😊
"Are we having anything for dinner?" ❤
😆
I always need solids and yet don’t buy them either. I’m working on this too lol
Cute top!
You made the blouse, too? I love it!
My friend is having a baby girl this spring & I had thought I would make a rag quilt but this tutorial has me considering this design 😅
I love the shirt you are wearing at the beginning ❤ Can you share the pattern/where to find?
It’s a pattern from the 70s!
Wow 🎉
Love webbing technique. Do you ever use 505 spray instead of pins for quilt sandwich?
I never have! Is it messy? That’s what’s always held me back.
I’m going to cut 3.5 inch strips and sew them together, then cut 3.5 inches wide. This should make it even quicker.
I think she assumes we will be using scraps, but yes, I was thinking the same thing as you😊
What did you end up listing the for cost?
How does the stitching not unravel between the squares when you first see them together then cut them apart? Do you have to go back over sections? Making my first quilt for my upcoming first baby! 😁
Pressing them helps to lock the stitches in place, but also, once they’re enclosed in other seams, they’re safe 👍🏻
@@PinCutSew thank you so much!
👍🏻
love it So much!! Where is your fabric from?
I’m pretty sure all from Hobby Lobby 👍🏻
You don’t need to back stitch at all? I never know when I don’t need to for projects. 😬
You pattern doesn’t mention how much fabric is needed for the backing and binding. How do we find out that information? Thank you
Hey there! It says you need 1 yard of medium fabric batting, 1 yard for binding, and 1 yard for backing. It’s just all in one sentence instead of separately:)
Do you use any batting between the two sides?
Yes, you can watch my recent video on making the quilt sandwich 👍🏻
Can’t see videos showing finishing this quilt in more detail.
I don’t buy solids either. They’re just not pretty…lol
