I adore them! We planted irises and grasses around our pond to attract them. In evenings and early mornings, they dance around in the air and are so beautiful. They are amazing creatures who wouldn't harm anything. I have them land on my arms and shoulders and walk around with me even.
@@toughtimes6596 That's SO SWEET! When we were kids, we called them "darning needles". I think that's what prompted me to be afraid. I'll remember what you said the next time I see one :)
Debra, we need dragonflies, they eat mosquito larvae. Dragonflies are harmless 😊. And they have striking colours😊. That said , I understand your fear, mine is cockroaches 😱. Plenty of them here in Australia. Lucky I also have plenty of beautiful dragonflies in my garden😅.
I have been waiting to see how you did the wings. Beautiful! I love how those turned out with the chameleon mica powders. So awesome, Steve! ❤ They are adorable! I have a question , I am hoping you will answer. I loved those coasters you did that changed color with the heat. Do you think , that would work with the rings you made using the washi tape & glitters? I hope you see my comment. Have a lovely day! ❤
I've been looking forward to this video! You made the wings differently than I was expecting. I was thinking of treating them like bezels, but your way is much better. They turned out beautiful! I really love the other two that you made, too. Especially the little one. It's so cute!
Stunning!!! Love that you didn't have to dip the wings to get them covered in resin! I've seen flowers made with resin and wires.... Always dipped 😢😢 I wanted to do something like that but can't justify the cost of special resin for something I may not like doing. I have to try this!!!! Stay safe, you do you, stay crafty and stay awesome 👍👍👍🛎️🛎️💖💖
Wow! Thank you for this tutorial. I’ve been wanting to try UV resin to make things like this or flowers and you made it look super do-able and the results are so cool!
You are one of the more innovative crafters when it comes to adjusting projects; wondering if you can help. I bought a bunch of light switch cover molds, but they won't go flat onto a wall because the back is flat. Any workaround suggestions? They would make such great gifts, but I can't get them to work.
Thanks! I tried attaching while it was bendy. It didn't work, because I think the back needs to be hollowed out. I didn't try dremeling yet, but I will. It just seems like there should be a better way and it is a lot of resin to grind out. Thanks both for the ideas! I think that this is one of those molds that is a great idea in theory, but not practice....lol
@@jodimarie379 can you get or make a silicone filler? That would work if you really want to spend the time. I know your frustration. I've heard the same from others who've tried them. Good luck!
@@Ali-H3444 I was just thinking about that. I think might make one - grind out what needs to be done with the Dremel, and then fill THAT with silicone and that should be a good insert for future pours....Stealing from Toonpish on that idea.
They came out really cool Steve! I love the blue and green ones. Do you think it would work if I do the plastic wing using shrink wrap plastic and a heat gun? Have you ever used that method and if you did, did it work? God bless you. Have a great weekend!
I use this brand low visc just for 25mm keyrings, I pour less than 1mm and cure for ages but still slightly tacky. i use an Istoya 48w dual wavelength and also an alonefire 365nm torch so it must be this resin, any suggestions?
These are brilliant! I'd attach a stake and put them in my planters. They would sparkle in the sunshine.
I love your dragonflies. Well, I love all your crafts. Thank you Steve for all you do.
Congrats to you, Steve! I'm normally terrified of a dragonfly, but these guys are so cute that you might have taken away my fear. :)

Loved how you made the dragon fly. Can't wait to see what you do to finish it off.
Those are particularly beautiful. Lovely techniques
These are so cute! I bet my husband's going to be so happy to hear that I'm making off with his screw collection.
They turned out incredibly cute 😍
I love dragonflies 🥰🧚🏻♀️
Love these! I have never tried using wire. I think you have encouraged me to do so.
They turned out really great! Thanks for sharing.
Fantastic video, Steve!!!
I have to say Steve this is genius. I love using UV resin in unusual ways. My brain is swirling itch ideas where I want translucent items.
Such a beautiful job!! They would be awesome garden ornaments!! Or for the Christmas tree!!! ❤
They are stunning Steve, have you ever tried dragonfly glaze ? It would be amazing on those clear wings, the shift in them is just gorgeous.
Omg these are amazing, absolutely love them
This came out super cute! I love it and that’s a great idea! Thanks for the tip
HI Steve, Super cool very funky looking thanks for sharing 🤗❤️👍

I wonder if the sticky tape that we use for open back bezels would work for the wings too?
What a great idea! They turned out beautiful! Thank you.

wings are beautiful!! great technique!!
Wow cool! Very creative!
These are lovely!
Awesome so cool I can hardly wait to make some
Absolutely gorgeous ❤
Steve I’m curious could you use glue as a base in the wings followed with resin and color to seek it?
Gorgeous. Love those wings. ❤ this video.
Those look great!
Brilliant, Steve! So pretty. 👏🏻
Awesome ❤
