    It's nice to actually see a diesel on youtube actually doing what it was made for (working) instead of just blowing smoke. Great video!

    Nice 7.3! Its nice to see a video of somebody actually using their truck for work, and not just blowing smoke or chipping it so it goes fast in a straight line. It towed great and you didn't even have tow mirrors that stuck out 4 feet from the cab, haha!

      How's the truck running?

    Nice to see someone keeping the damn thing within their lane. I've seen too many guys on a no wind day who can't keep their truck and trailer within their own lane and damn near run me off the road.

    I have a 96. The 2 best mods for the money on these trucks is replace that flattened down pipe from the turbo and a K&N filter in place of the stock paper. The filter is a no brainier, the pipe would take a little more of your time but if you can change the oil, you can do it. Both pieces will be about $175 total and worth the effort. You want a tuner, get a Pyrometer on it first. These trucks last and last.

      How much is a Pyrometer? Thanks

    I wouldn't have it in overdrive, the E40D trans in that truck doesn't like heat or towing in O/D

      +Bailey Degregorio i wouldnt tow that much weight in OD no matter what the transmission was

    i tell you what man i picked up hey for this one man that had a 2011 turbo charged powerstroke with a H&S racing chip and tuner in it we had 50 bails on the flat bed and another 150 on a trailer and we was going up hills doing 60 in 2nd gear with only 20% throttle ... that son of a bitch did not mess around hahaha sounded like it had a damn jet turbine for an engine

    have two of these on fleet once they hit third and that trans locks 3rd. DONE power fails on mine only towing 12300. gears up and does that then locks in 3rd . usless there for sale now. LOVE the sound of 7.3 tho i will miss that.

      chapmanmerchant maybe re-gear in the diff to a higher rate would help.

    That's what the 7.3 was designed to do. "Rolling Coal" is fine but hauling 16k behind you has to be rewarding.

      About 10 with this trailer. If I drove it right, I could pull about 20 MPG at 60 MPH unloaded. I was quite impressed.

    You should make it roll coal.

    • @LarietFord
      @LarietFord 9 лет назад +12

      Rolling coal kills your pump and will raise your egt levels and begin to burn your turbo from the inside out. Its just a kid thing

    • @FishFind3000
      @FishFind3000 6 лет назад +1

      LarietFord exactly, only immature idiots do that.
