    The 7.3 with a little tune can pull anything you put behind it

    I loved using our old 7.3 service truck with the 6 speed to pull. She had a few bolt on upgrades, she took a a sec to get to speed but once she got there she held it. I’ve run a ton of gassers and they go through the muck better to get to buried and broken stuff since they’re lighter but don’t go down the pavement worth a damn pulling anything more then 15k

      @scottbaker4314  Год назад +3

      Yeah gassers are always in the high rpm range and we all know that long term those engines aren't going to last as long as a diesel especially towing in the mountains

    My load I delivered this morning was 24' long, 750 Lbs. 10 pcs. of Z-bar left off a shipment. I couldn't even see it in my mirrors! I averaged 10.18 MPG. Your mileage will likely be a tad bit lower... Give Jax a big hug for me!

    Hope jax is doing good! I'll say a prayer for him.
    Awesome to see this old girl still putting in work. I have an 03, 300k on it almost. I did bellowed up pipes, a 66mm turbo, and custom hydra tunes on factory sticks, and get 30 psi. I feel you may have some exhaust leaks costing you boost.
    Anyway, cool video, impressive what these old rigs can do, and still be more reliable than a new one.

    I installed the RiffRaff FRX fuel line crossover kit and the high pressure oil crossover line and my 2001 7.3 sounds like a completely different motor. It honestly surprised me how much of a difference it made.

      So I have contemplated and talked to people at Ford they said don't do it there is a reason why Ford didn't do it to begin with. I feel like these manufacturers just come up with ways for selling items to owners thinking about making a buck. Maybe I'm wrong but I have a lot of friends who run 7.3's and none of them are using the crossovers.

    • @chuckparson6712
      @chuckparson6712 11 месяцев назад +3

      @@scottbaker4314 Ford didn't do it because it would of cost them millions of dollars to add those simple features on thousands of motors.
      Anytime you " deadhead" a motor is a bad idea and design flaw. Forcing air through the injector causes injector cackling and eventually failure. The high pressure oil line, simply equals out the oil pressure on each head making the motor run smoother.
      Mine has been purring like a kitten every since the mods where installed, no issues and it has close to 200k miles on it.

    • @calebz1448
      @calebz1448 Год назад

      @@ltd7998technically stiction only occurs in the spool valve of 6.0 injectors but I have heard a few people swear by it in a 7.3 so I wouldn't say don't use it but don't put too much faith in it

    • @tylerwightman2315
      @tylerwightman2315 8 месяцев назад +1

      @calebz1448 I've seen and fixed plenty of 7.3s that had stiction going on. Nearly 6-7 out of 10 injectors fail on a 7.3 due to stiction and oddly enough they can usually be easily saved with something like hotshots and sometimes shimming the solenoids

I feel like HotShot Outlaw was and will continue to be what I do. I pay my taxes, insurance, load insurance truck taxes and tags toll booths etc. Everything we do gets taxed to no end so I play their silly little games to a point but when it comes to putting money in the bank and food on the table then there's nothing going to stand in my way.
