7.3 liter with 275hp...
i can smell the warm adhesives of that interior through my screen
At least they used the good glue
This video has just now made enough money to fill the fuel tank one time.
Word
😂😂Good
How much do you spend if the tank empty
You didnt spend all tank so wıwowowı
paid for the diesel consumed on idle at the start of the video hahaha
I owned an 01 F350 SD Lariat 4×4 in 2004. I was 25, and I sacrificed so much to own that stupid truck. I didn't need it, had absolutely no use for a Super Duty and very very little use for a 4×4. It was status. At work everyone was jealous and that is why I got it. Never would have admitted that back then. Probably not even to myself. After 2 years of giving up all of my spare cash to own that thing i finally gave up and sold it, and used the money i would've spent on 2 truck payments to buy a whole ass 96 Civic DX coupe in cash. My quality of life went through the roof, and i felt rich all of a sudden now that I didn't have to pay for that truck and full coverage insurance on it. And fuel for it. That was a hard lesson learned, and I'm glad i learned it fairly early in life.
European kid here, Im 20 and I got a nice hyundai sedan. I always loved this type of trucks as a kid since my father had 2 or so when I was little. More than once I thought about getting one, but in Europe its even more expensive to have one of these. With the price of gas and the price of parts and second hand trucks... I really cant afford one of those at all. I'll stick to being a truck driver tho, getting my license soon for those big machines 👍
@@speedm3t Same thing mate here, European and 19 yrs old. I have Touareg 3.0 TDI 2007. It's litearlly a beast of a SUV with off road tyres. My father put on a matte black color on and now it really looks like an uncercover police car with fully tinted windows. Owning this car is just amazing and would never sell even it is like 16-17 years old car, it's a tank. MPG is from 12 to 18 liters per 100km but it's worth it knowing you can easily survive a crash if it happnes. Weight, about 2300 kg in SUV vs normal European car in a crash or similar, I would put money on Touareg easily. It can be pain in the ass sometimes because of the maintenance, fuel and etc but again, would go on a world cross adventure in this car no problem. Enough to said that the Touareg towed a 747 JET which is like 200 ton plane. Perfect combination of everything, luxury inside and rugged outside. Ideal of trips, adventures, overlanding and off roading. Not hardcore off road but it took me to places where even people on foot would have problems. Planning to make a handmade bullbar up front and putting hook on back for that extra saftey and I have a tyre also on the back. Overall great car based on that I am located in Europe. Mine has 113 xxx km on dash and that is quite rare. Checked that on Carvertical and like 3 official VW mechanics and all of them told me the millage is original and I am very happy about that. 🤙
Same with me. I’m 27 and 2 years ago I used all my money to buy a C8 Corvette. Felt like it wasn’t worth it anymore, and sold the car last week.
I could never get tired of that sound.
Hard to believe that’s from 99, looks brand new!
The engine sounds so familiar. It's as if I heard it every day for 13 years 😆
It's indeed an amazing engine.
This(T444E) and the DT466 were the best engines made by International
@@ag6371Those 466 engines are gnarly, I love em.
I've had this weird obsession with 7.3s for a while now 😭
That exterior design has aged incredibly well. The interior, not so much.
That being said, this would be an excellent truck for a contractor / tradesman / Home Depot warrior.
the interior is old looking for sure but it looks nice to me
They had started to really cheapen the materials used by this time in vehicle making. The engine is pretty bulletproof, but the interior.... not so much. I much prefer interiors from the 80's.
Finally the video we have all ben waiting for !
3:00 when you have a 7.3 Powerstroke,but you still want a 1.9 tdi
Rancho Santa Margarita… such a beautiful area, miss those drives. Thanks for this video, took me back to the summer of 2003 when I was doing dealer transfers for Ford. I’d drive a lot of F250/350s swapping between dealers from as far north as Lompoc all the way down to San Diego. Easiest job of my life.
That sounds like a great gig! Simpler times
we used to have an 02 7.3 with a banks tune, and could run on fry oil. i loved that truck, we've had it since i was a little kid. the smells, and the sounds this truck makes will forever be in my memory connected to so many trips and experiences. i love that truck, and i got to drive it but one time. it was slow and ponderous, but i liked it a lot. i want one of these trucks.
I really like this truck! Finishes my drive home from work! Lol!
your presentation skills are impeccable, always a pleasure to watch!
Great review!!!
I’ve had a ‘97 E350 van for almost five years, with the 7.3. It’s a bit of a rust bucket, and has been a money pit of sorts. Probably never saw a bit of TLC until I owned it. But I hold onto it for that old school Powerstroke. It’s a fun experience to drive when everything is okay. It was my urban camper when I drove over 300 miles per week to school and back.
Absolutely love my 7.3. 99 XL with a Tommy gate
I've always loved how Ford trucks start up and how the engine sounds. (But I own a Chevy, and I love it.)
It's always a trip to watch a video that was filmed right by where you grew up haha
I have a f250 7.3 same year best truck ever
Charlie, According to my calculations, the world has been waiting 24 years for your review of the 99 F-350. With all that pressure heaped upon you, it is no surprise you were at
a loss for words. 🤣
Haha!
I think you mean 24 years but fine.
@@brq4cars I will fix that .
Mines been around 400hp since about 2007 I forgot how slow they were stock thanks for the reminder
Man this is my dream truck I want one so bad
love that you did e brake then park instead of the other way arounrn
I love the facelift in the front!
I had this playing in the background, looked up randomly and recognized Trabuco Canyon General Store. Not because I've ever been there, but because of Suburban Delinquent's videos.
Huh, I'll have to check them out!
Gotta love the Pioneer stereo.
Do you know what model it is?
Midtown Madness memories :´)
That's a nice ford f-350
nice truck
for some reason i love the way US highways look. i am pretty sure it is the white asphalt
wow it's impressive how much you turn the wheel and how it's barely enough to make a lane change
The old 7.3 & 5.9s are so loud. You can always tell.
I just bought a crew cab 4x4 dually 350 with the 7.3 love it all already
How much did you pay and how many miles ? I’m interesting in buying one I saw today for 91k miles
2001 350 dually 7.3
One thing about the ford truck is the ability to work on them isn’t easy. I personally like 2003-2006 Chevy tahoe . 😊
i miss my 02 PSD lariat. best truck i've ever owned. should have never sold it
i really want a 2005 ford f-350
Форд, скорость и комфорт, я с начала подумал странное соотношение мощности к объёму на бензиновом двс, потом дошло что это дизель)
Had one just like this with a mild tune and shift kit. Such a blast to drive. More expensive to maintain than people realize however. And if you live in a left leaning city, your neighbors will hate you, smh.
As another comment said, adjusted for inflation this truck was $67,000 and now a similar turbo diesel F-350 STRIPPED is $77k.... Similarly equipped it jacks it up to $89,000
Thats a $22k price increase on top of inflation adjustment for a weaker, less reliable, lower quality truck
With a bed cap, it looks like an excursion on the outside!
Being in the market for a low mileage pre def diesel is making me reconsider my decisions xD
Ai sim e caminhonete tube doido completando, linda👏👏👏👏
This is the truck you bought when your Maverick turbo crapped out? Looks very well kept
Indeed! Yeah I knew as soon as I saw the photos that it was a good buy.
Hermosa camioneta
Жесть, едешь как будто на грузовике, шум невероятный, еще и расход чумовой
Ótimo carro
That truck was way ahead of its time, looks no older then an 07.
What model is that head unit?
Why does the gearbox change so high?
Wish i had one😢
que linda maquina ojala poder tenerla en Argentina .Aca en Argentina una hilux te sale $60.000
Да, вот это сила!
From this POV, this tall car does not even seem to have any speed. And then you look at the dashboard and you see that you are going over 60 MPH.
Linda demais maravilhosa ❤❤❤❤❤
A real truck
0-60: Yes
The Ford Excursion in the freeway... What are the odds huh...
Curious if it’s bone stock? I have a bone stock 99 with leaky up pipes and I believe it affects the fuel mileage by a good 1mpg maybe more at higher boost.
Motor is stock outside of an aftermarket air filter. Mine is leaking diesel from the fuel lines and water separator.
and an entire 275hp!
Seems like this is a much better buy than your old F350 😂
It appears that the transmission is switching late as if it's slipping.
Does your 7.3 has black smoke when you push the pedal?
No
damn those beeps...
Beautiful truck. How much did you purchase it for?
$11.5k
it got 60 need almost 1 century and 400 gallon diesel
Held the key too long in the ignition switch cylinder when you cranked to start it
No he didnt
275 hp under the gentlemen's agreement
7.3L lmao jesus christ, it’s as loud as it is large. The scenery is absolutely beautiful though, is this southern California?
Lol, yessir!
I saw 0-60... car its broken ?
What means SUPER DUTY?
This looks like Irvine lol
I’ll choose this glorious truck over an EV truck any day.
Is it just me or do diesels with automatics sound so shitty... I guess I'm just used to the shifts of a manual trans equipped diesel truck breaking up the loud droning roar
Todays turbo diesel engines get that power out of less than half (3l) the displacement.
Does that engine has EGR and DPF?
Nope. Helps with reliability.
@ballt0wn136 Just like any car, it passes fine. It didn't come with those things from the factory.
I feel like that gearbox holds the gears for to long
I don´t see the gearbox on this truck.
I'm afraid this is not enough for me to go to the supermarket
6-cylinder inline diesel engines are more pleasant to listen to
Звук на наш Зил похож
Lil Temecula
How much will a truck like that sell for now a days ?
I paid $11.2k

This or LS430 🤔🧐
Excellent question.
CVT TRANSMISSION
Шумка вся рассыпалась, а половина лошадей сдохло 🤣
Je me suis endormi pendant le 0 à 60...
Not exactly fast. But that 7.3 motor will easily last 500k.
red light bro. wtf???
ля а салон как у полицейского седана
форда
Like driving a bus
So, you are allowed to cross that double sloid yellow lines??
pause
I don’t get the people who blow their load over these old 7.3s. Loud as hell INSIDE the cab, slow as hell, and brakes are absolute shit. Worked for a company for 15 years that had 3 different ones, all 4x4 duallies. Towed up to 16k lbs a ton of times and there were many times that I didn’t think it was gonna be able to get the load moving up some small inclines and some very tense moments trying to get those things to stop with any kind of load behind them.
I’ll take a modern Super Duty any day of the week. Hell, my current 7.3 gas dually will pull better and stop WAY better than these old turds.
275 hp from a 7.3 litre engine is the most american thing ever
