The amount of content Misha puts out to help home recording musicians is unreal. He's such a genuine dude and puts so much effort into sharing his knowledge and helping other.
@MAIN he's been putting tutorials on YT for like over a decade man. I remember watching his channel when there were like 15 people in the US who knew who Periphery was lol
The secret ingredient to mixing: find yourself a Nolly
no no no. you weren't listening to him as he tells us we can't buy our way out of problems... use really cheap gear and plugins. that's obviously the secret.
27:39 - Misha's guitar tone explanation.
29:37 - Misha's 'signal-chain' for recording.
Such an inspiring guy
Listen to that PERFECT intonation on his octave at 11:03
he probably tunes to that. that's what I do instead of trust tuners.
Gotta have perfect intonation for recordings. It's a rule.
19:15 dude seriously missed his pun right here lmfao haha

Amazing tips thank you so much for the video😀
I love this
I use torpedo wall of sound as my go to Two notes are on it when It comes to IR game No other can compare!
Your guitar amp sound is incredible. 🦁
but remember, as he tells us we can't buy our way out of problems, use really cheap gear. that's obviously the secret.
Here after Misha released his signature picks lol (and after Reptile came out in GGCFAD tuning)
Can someone tell me why he runs his axe fx into his Scarlett interface? Cant he plug it directly into the computer? I'm not too sure if he's doing that in this video but in his other tutorials he does.
What's he doing at 36:25? And what keys is he hitting to do that?
@21:00
There is not a truer statement to be made in this video.
55:52 15.30 minutes long so they extended it to 16.43...some will get it
Reptile broo
Cubase master race!
Billington Media Norway oh...
Where can i get that shirt
What song is he playing?
side project band name mitigating disaster? first song on Ep "Live" last song on Ep sound
Man recording guitars even for just a hobby is so complicated.
Not true, its quite simple actually, hit me up if you need any help.
@warehousebybreck5548 I've been trying to figure out how to get a sound like that for my guitar recording, but can't seem to get close. What would you recommend?
Does anybody knows what laptop did he used here?
Doesn't matter.
@@brianjohnson9802 Thanks oh holy one for this very insightful answer. We all know you're trying to be mr. "the gear doesn't make you a better musician/ producer blahblahblah." Just shut up, he asked a question for an actual answer, not wether it mattered to anything or anyone.
the kind of laptop hes using isn't going to change your mix :P lmfao it wont be the end all be all
@@0zwald did you listen to misha in this video?
There's almost no headroom for the guitar signal...LOL!
can anyone help me with an IR to get close to that ? Thanks
GGD Cali or Zilla are the exact way to go, idk of any free ones to approximate it, but they probs exist.
What load box was he using and are their any that don't color the sound so that I can run the amp signal through a cab Sims in my daw?
Guys... I need some help here. He's recording his guitar using the MSDI output on the Invective... I'm under impression that its terrible for the amp to be played without a cab attached. I've gotten advice from Peavey to NEVER do this. It really does defeat the purpose of having an MSDI jack if you can't mute the speakers though. Can someone clarify?
He's not using MSDI, he's using a torpedo loadbox which acts as a cab
Yeah the white thing under the focusrite is his load box which is “absorbing” the current safely and also sending it out of the focusrite
What tuning is that?
I think it`s drop C#
@@user-to8tm1wz3r thank you!
38:48 enybody know how to this this in reaper ?
Anybody knows how to do this trick in reaper ?
@@yaqubaxamee9146 I know this is 3 years old but try googling reaper track grouping, there's a way to do it but it's different from cubase.

Cubase
metal guys hate the 4k range
a cheap interface will work better for metal guitars than rock guitar because it doesn't need any color from the preamp. the metal sound is a clean sterile preamp with zero character. rock is totally different tone and needs a lot of color from the preamp.
dude always shows the same shit.. show us how to mix how to get a good tone smh
I love it when a guy using a 3 thousand dollar MIA guitar tells us we can't buy our way out of problems and there's no such thing as a plugin that's gonna automatically make our mixes better. Really? Okay here you go man, here's some stock plugins and a cheap guitar for your next album. I'm sure it will make no difference to your tone and won't take any longer to make.
He's literally the most qualified person to say that. Stay mad bozo
@@saamo1423 you use the term literally sort of incorrectly. maybe read a dictionary instead of listening to metal. I guess Your parents were right about it rotting your brain.
