AWESOME!!! Looking forward to see it coming together bit by bit. Defintiely go for a set of larger wheels and offset wheels. Everything else will be cosmetic or practical. There's nothign else you need to improve performance as it has all it needs.
Hi Paul, I didnt go crazy with “the build” or rather the project turned out to be a much quicker one then anticipated, reason being I had been after a 80 series for several years so it would not have made financial sense to equip this, also due to the pandemic’s restrictions I was still uneasy to go overland which as a result placed less need for a roofrack etc. Feel free to like my FB blog facebook.com/Kilin4x4/
@@k44_4wd Well I’m not new to off-roading having Land Rovers & Range Rovers for over 15 yrs but overlanding is a new adventure for me, I plan to start exploring the U.K. first. I looked at all manner of vehicles & Landcruiser is the one that kept on coming back to me as the best but fuel consumption is a big part for me. I bought this J95 but initially didn’t like the ride so I looked at the 80 series & nearly bought a V8 100 series on LPG a couple days ago but the seller messed me around then yesterday I found out that Shell have pulled out of supplying LPG pumps to the U.K. market so now I’m going to stick with the J95 I’ve bought but need to improve the ride & comfort of the whole thing. I’ll be following your FB blog for sure 👍
Brother I also have 1kz PRADO TZ , it has inter cooler on it , but your 1kz doesn’t have intercooler on it why ? I’ve never seen this type of 1KZ in J90
Hi Zark, not sure about the TZ specs - my understanding is that some have the intercooler, some just don't. In fact here there is mention that "The intercooler equipped version of the engine..." which implies the 2 versions. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Toyota_KZ_engine
Just about to buy a MINT cindition white 2002 / 90 series with diesel auto / 230k kms full service history and @ AUD$22,000. I could not give a shit if thats overpriced. These things are a classic bullet proof get home car. I live in the Northern Territory of Australia. You simply dont go remote in anyting except a toyota in the NT. End of story. I am going to keep it stock exxcept for some meaty tyres.
Immaculate condition!
I'm a simple man.I see a landcruiser with a manual transmission, I like
Jesus man that is completely mint .
Great video! That example is in immaculate condition - and with a factory diff lock! Good luck on your journey - looking forward to see its progress.
Thanks Sergio, yes I was quite lucky to come across it!
Bulletproof engine.

Wow beautiful find well done.
Thank you Derrick, I have since sold it on & got an 80 Series
@@k44_4wd ah lovely stuff.80s are top class had 1 but I just think the 90s are so underrated. That 90 was probably 1 in a million with the low miles.
@@derrickmurphy9859 yes they are great rigs, regret selling it in fact 🤷🏻♂️
Nice cruiser. Surprised/jealous to see the locker as mind didn't come with it. But all around very clean vehicle.
You are so lucky guy!
Just bought one the same but 2002 with d4d engine. Going to build an overlanding vehicle, be interested to see your build 👍

Nice video. I'm so close to getting one of these and selling my 2017 Hilux, so I will follow this build along. Subscribed 👍
Thanks for the comment! I gave the impression that there is a huge project coming along but I did 4-5 mods and I think im ready for now 🙂
@@k44_4wd good to see an actual video of one one these in English anyway that's well filmed and narrated.
@@Maxtrialsuk too kind, cheers mate! Im assuming ur based in the UK, I used to live there and I still did I would definitely also get an 80 Series!
@@k44_4wd yeah in the UK and an 80 with a 1hd would definitely be nice.
@@Maxtrialsuk Have a look at my blog here facebook.com/Kilin4x4/ for an update on the “80” discussion we were having 😋
