Had my 90 series for 20yrs, got her when she was 7yrs old, she's been absolutely brilliant, do maintenance and it will never have issues , only changed fuel pump after 27yrs, changed bushes, belts, upgrade suspension, love my Toyota 💜🤙🇦🇺

Had my J90 for 19 years (1979 car) crossed the Sahara and done several off road rallys. Things that have been replaced. Drivers seat, all shocks, one spring, cylnder head, radiator, windscreen and rear window, clutch, belts. Trackrod ends, rear door seal, both front axcdls. Rear acxel welded. BEST CAR I EVER OWNED. Driven daily passes it anual test every year and starts first time.

Great video! My wife and I are debating on picking up a KZJ95 turbo diesel ourselves. We love Toyota trucks, and want something we can road trip in with the kids and dogs. Actual right-side drive imports are pretty affordable here in the United States, so getting information on what to look for and where really helps us out in the buying process.

I've heard that that the radiator houses both the engine coolant and gearbox coolant, and after time they tend to corrode internally, which will obviously lead to engine failure if not caught in time. So replacing the radiator is a very good thing if it hasn't been done.

In the UK we see a lot of rear axle issues do to corrosion. Trailing arm brackets on top of rear axle corrode and snap off and the rear diff lock housing corrodes through, causing the rear diff lock to stop working. More common to see a 90 with a broken rear diff lock than a working one here.

Looked at one today from Japan and a hilux surf 4 cylinder. I was looking for the other style. And what you mentioned about lifting it gave me pause. But, looks like you do way more than what I’d be using it for. There are some gnarly roads in Kentucky we use to get back closer to the cliffs we climb. So clearance is a concern of mine but overall I think $11k us is a good deal for a vehicle with 77,000 miles on it. It also had the exact same inside two tone pattern yours has. Thanks for making this video! Still not sure if I should wait or just squeeze the trigger 🤙😂
Btw, the one I am looking at is gas. I was trying to buy a diesel but they sent it off to auction after I called about it.

Great vehicle and video! Love the contents. If I saw correctly you are running 265/75 R16 tires. I think stock is 265/70 R16. Does it affect the driveability on the highway, and does it change the speedometer reading much? Any issues with vibrations at high speed? I think these are good just to lift it a little bit more and to overcome obstacles a bit easier.

    • @TheUntraveledPath
