Hats off to you sir, you have kept it in immaculate condition. I have a 97 two door 3.4 Patrol. Toyotas are the best but no doubt you have kept it in pristine condition too. The back door hatch fix was ingenious. Thumbs up my friend

I owned this car before, 2001 model, sold in 2015 @ 330k km. Very reliable, never break down as I maintain regularly. Very strong and very reliable. The only setback was, its a fuel guzzler but still kindda regret letting it go, Should have keep it.

I love the video and you has given plenty useful info and nice legendary car! keep posting more video about your beloved Prado, we'll surely love them! and a tip for your backdoor problem: flash some welding to the loop and carefully file it (apply some grease to less the friction at last) thus it can last longer than the metal coil, one is quickly wearing out if you often open the backdoor. My Toyota Zace (Kijang) has the same stuff, now it is smooth. Blessing from Vietnam!

We love our 90 series but there is one very important thing 90 series owners must do and that is to get the lower ball joints checked regularly. If they fail the front wheels can collapse and his has happened to a lot of these vehicles including ours.

It was so nice to come across this review as I am about to take the leap of faith on a 2002 Prada diesel with 200,000 kilometres on it in mint condition. Pretty much all of the reviews on RUclips are by serious 4x4 drivers who have completely modded out the PRADOS and has no bearing on the type of use that the average driver. Once so, yeah, it was great to see this beautiful old Prado still going strong, and I'm sure that mine will be the same.

Hi Zainuddin, all Prados are very reliable. Both manual and Auto are great depending on your preference. I would go with the Auto because I am a bit lazy changing gear but the Auto Gear is only 4 speeds for these used ones so fuel consumption is a bit more than the manual.
