I can feel the cold air when we make that turn in the beginning on those glorious winter days. Cannot express how lucky I was to experience this in person. THIS IS PERFECT!!!!
This is absolutely amazing, the only & the best virtual recreation of this attraction I’ve seen. You really put a lot of time and effort into this and I’m astonished how great this turned out.
Unbelievable! This is amazing and obviously it’s just a ton of work and research. Really quite an accomplishment. Bravo . it’s interesting that we all criticize the new Disney rides for utilizing screens so much, as if it was a new phenomenon…
Thank you for all your great work recreating this experience. It brought back memories of my visit there in December of 1983 and riding up that ramp in the beginning with my late father sitting next to me. Great memories.
I loved all of the details, textures, and lighting. The transitions between the scenes are very realistic and the effects of the speed tunnel are amazing!
Man.. I got goosebumps from this. EPCOT Center was a masterpiece. Which other attractions have this kind of dedication, lore and tributes? NONE. There is a reason for that.
@@brock2443 Spaceship Earth was only my 3rd favorite, after World of Motion and Horizons. And they've gutted the last third of it. But at least we still have something. So far.
Finally, a video that feels like the real ride! Feels like the first time riding it in 30 years.... Just imagine all those still images were moving animatronics. Please release it for VR!
This was amazing. At first we were thinking this was junk but it was incredible. You captured a moment in time. All the other ride on videos you cannot see any detail. Well done.
Thank you so much for the work in putting this together. It was amazing to be able to tour this once more and remember some of the whimsical scenes once more. ❤️
Very much appreciated!! I agree that this is the absolute best virtual recreation of an attraction out there. Never seen anything quite this good, and it really helps us understand what the ride was probably like. Can’t even imagine how much work this took. We’re going to need to save all of our fave attractions this way lol. Nothing “rinky dinky” about this work. Just amazing and impressive results. Thanks!❤
I hope someday you will be able to model and render Journey to Imagination the first version of the ride. Keep up the fantastic work !!! I'm really enjoying these videos !
Nice work! I always looked forward to this ride because my dad was a GM employee and we got to go to the lounge there for free drinks and to get out of the heat before the ride!
Holy crap. I think I only got to ride this once or twice before it was demolished. I can scarcely remember it. This recreation is really, really great. Thank you!
Thank you so much for recreating this! I was 3 years old when this ride closed, so my memory is extremely fuzzy on this ride. But I love everything Epcot Center. What an amazing ride! Can’t wait to see everything else!
FYI the guy that’s trying to push the zebra up and the other man holding the donkey by a rope were used in the ending of pirates of the Caribbean in 1997 before Jack sparrow became the replacement in 2006
OMG that is amazing, my favorite ride. The videos of the ride are unwatchable but this, AMAZING!! So sad it’s gone and replaced with test track. World of Motion and Horizons , still in my opinion the best rides at DISNEY. Thankfully SpaceShip Earth and Living with the Land live on!!!
this would be awesome in vr. I've always wanted to see someone/a team recreate old lost disney rides for vr viewing, so we can all experience them in full immersion. If I knew how to use engines I would have definitely loved to be involved in a project like that.
This gives me much more appreciation for than I had surfing through old videos! I always felt this pavilion accomplishes better what the IYHW/DD rides were trying to do: reflect on the technology involved in international travel/goods supply. I still think this pavilion had some problems thematically filling as much as say, the Life or Land pavilions. Boats, cars, trains, airplanes, that's pretty much it regarding transportation. Commissioning Ward Kimball to go nuts really boosts the ride through containing some of the most entertaining dioramas in all of Epcot! But the Motion pavilion has always been the biggest thinker for me. The evolution of it isn't so cut and dried for original and current incarnations and honestly I feel Motion hasn't ever reached its full potential as an attraction as of yet. I'm most critical of this pavilion's original incarnation of all the pavilions. And weighing the beneficial ideas of the various incarnations of the Motion pavilion is more stimulating of an activity than for any other Epcot pavilion.
Amazing job with this! Would love to see this with virtual Horizons some day. Disney should turn the unused ride simulators from body wars pavilion into virtual rides like this, that no longer exist in the parks.
I was so sad when I found out I’d never be able to experience this ride again. Getting rid of this was the beginning of the end ofthe old school feel of Disney.
Wonderful work, I just subscribed to your channel. I said this before on Twitter but this is the future of preserving old theme park attractions. Amazing work.
This kinda helped my mind I think. Because I couldn't remember the ride. I remembered getting into the vehicle, and going up and being wow'd at the sight of epcot from higher up and then..poof. blank. While I can remember Horizons clearly and Journey Into Imagination. I hope you can do that too!
Takes me back to legendary Epcot! It makes me wonder how they will reimagine test track. I hope they add elements from this to incorporate the feeling of legendary Epcot.
I would much have preferred this over Test Track. (I was not impressed with both versions, just not that much of a car person) I've been wanting digital preservation of the rides like this. Well done!
Bringing this ride back but updating to the times would have been beter, because some people dont like roller coasters. The roller coasters take away from the educational and fun part of Epcot. Epcot has changed so much I miss the old Epcot.😔
This is a work of art. The love and attention to detail that went into this is self evident. Wow. Well done and thank you. Is there a patreon or something so we can support this? All I can think is we need to find some way to get this thing onto the Vision Pro
Interesting. Obviously nothing like the real experience, but that was hard to shoot with any quality. Other than the original version of Universe of Energy, that lasted longer, I think I miss World of Motion the next most. I first experienced it in January of 1987, barely 4 years after Epcot opened. I grew up in Michigan where a lot of people were into cars, but I’ve always been into transportation in all forms as well as history. So WOM was right up my alley. It always had so many animatronics. Think it held the record in fact. And I was always curious to see the VIP lounge that GM had there, as well as the new cars after you exited. Definitely wish this ride was back. Never have really enjoyed Test Track. Experiencing Epcot those first 5-6 years it was open though in the 80’s was truly an amazing thing. So much promise for the future. I not only had so much fun as a kid, but I learned so much too. Something Epcot is now lacking I feel, in favor of a million Disney I.P.’s. It also was a great intro to other cultures for me as a kid. Something that really had a huge effect on me, and led me to travel around the world as an adult, and even serve as an ambassador of sorts at times for the U.S. through some groups I’ve been associated with. World Showcase to me today seems very stereotypical and basic, but for little kids I think it’s still a decent intro. I only wish they’d have added more countries like they originally intended. Like Spain, Switzerland, sub-Saharan Africa, Russia, and Israel.
I can feel the cold air when we make that turn in the beginning on those glorious winter days. Cannot express how lucky I was to experience this in person. THIS IS PERFECT!!!!
The monorail drive by and Horizons under construction is a nice touch. Amazing work.
Buddy Baker is an absolute legend may his music and creativity grace us all for eternity as he continues to rest peacefully
Amazing. Would love to ride it in VR
I got to ride this one time back in the 80’s. Thanks for letting me experience it again!
This is absolutely amazing, the only & the best virtual recreation of this attraction I’ve seen. You really put a lot of time and effort into this and I’m astonished how great this turned out.
Thanks for your help!
@@Futureport82 The nostalgia is overwhelming. Incredible work, really wild to feel that ride again.
Amazing!!! My entire family has watched it in tears of memory happiness...
Absolutely awesome! Brings me back to what I consider the glory days of Epcot.
I never knew about these spectacular projections at the end, must have been so amazing to see live.
Unbelievable! This is amazing and obviously it’s just a ton of work and research. Really quite an accomplishment.
Bravo . it’s interesting that we all criticize the new Disney rides for utilizing screens so much, as if it was a new phenomenon…
Never have I ever wished to have a VR headset....until I watched this. Amazing, thank you❤❤❤❤❤

I can't believe how well the speed tunnels worked.
Rode this so many times over the years and I miss it, but this recaptures it perfectly! - thanks!
Man.. I got goosebumps from this. EPCOT Center was a masterpiece. Which other attractions have this kind of dedication, lore and tributes? NONE. There is a reason for that.
The glory days of Epcot Center! How I miss it.
The old EPCOT Center dark rides were amazing. Spaceship Earth is still my favorite, and only remaining.
when they first opened in 1982 , my dad worked out there all summer before they opened
We rode on this on 31st December 1995, about 3 days before it closed. Got it on home video in pretty good quality.

Thank you for sharing this. Its been over 30 years since I last went on World of Motion, but this brought back so many memories!
This is obviously a labor of love. I can't tell you how grateful I am for your efforts. Fabulous recreation of a completely unique ride. Thank you.
Great to hear the legendary Gary Owens once again.
I loved laugh in when he was on there
This is stunning! This is one of the rides I missed out on and wish I could have seen myself. Now I've had the best taste of it that I'll ever get!
You have outdone yourself. Brings back so many memories when I was a pre-teen, and teenager. Love your dedication.
This was amazing. At first we were thinking this was junk but it was incredible. You captured a moment in time. All the other ride on videos you cannot see any detail. Well done.

Fabulous job! It makes my wife so happy to see all her work recreated for posterity!
(The last third of your version, starting with the speed tunnels, is actually cooler than the original!)

Awesome work. This closed years before I was born but it matches up well with the blurry videos I've seen. It feels like I'm actually on it!

I like the approach of making a "cardboard cuttout" of the animatronics. It is enough to give the main idea as to what it was like.

We went on this ride in 1994 & again in 1996
We need more stuff like this in a game where you can relive different years of Disney rides and make it in unreal engine 5 so it looks super real
