Epcot 1982 Full Virtual Walkthrough of Future World - Amazing Futureport '82 VR App!

- If you're not familiar with Futureport 82, as a Disney theme park fan...well, you should be. You can head to this website to download the app and walk through all aspects of the original EPCOT when it opened in 1982 (with some future year bonuses as well). The app is available here -

You need a fairly beefy computer to run it, so I thought I'd create a walkthrough so you could experience the whole thing without a powerful PC. This is a work in progress, the version used for this walkthrough is from the most recent version, September 2023 (as of uploading) but it gets updated frequently.
Enjoy this walkthrough of the full original EPCOT, including Spaceship Earth, Communicore, Universe of Energy, World of Motion, Journey into Imagination, and The Land. The interiors of Communicore, Journey into Imagination, and The Land pavilions are all walked through as well.
Having first visited EPCOT Center in the summer of 1983, and as it's always been my favorite place on earth, I'm literally watching this with tears streaming down my face.

Right? I know, that's amazing. It's so funny how this is just an indelible part of our childhood. They're adding Living Seas and Universe of Energy next, btw.
@@WorldscapeScenery Yeah, I've been following along the project - I don't have a PC that will render the graphics smoothly so I have to do strolls through the park using videos that you guys make, so much appreciated.

i was there in 1982, i was 10 years old, this is giving me flashbacks lol. Well done!
It's so cool, this is one of those projects that just gives me warm feelings. I'm excited to see what other parks get recreated like this!
@@WorldscapeScenery I want to be able to see all this in VR, other parks too.
This type of stuff makes me so excited for the future of VR in terms of re-creating places that no longer exist. I can only imagine what it will be like in 10-20 years.

As someone who is doing the same thing, I can tell you the reason why you need a beefy computer is because of all the lights, not the geometry. If they bake the lighting into the materials, it will run significantly faster
Are you working on any EPCOT or attraction recreations, or other things?
@@WorldscapeScenery I don't know what's wrong with RUclipsrs comment section. I had to switch accounts. Right now I'm doing the main street entrance and square and then I'll be continuing down the main street to the castle. Then I'm going to go to the campgrounds, then back to tomorrow land and so forth. I've created the basic shape for the entrance and right side of the main street square including the theater. Right now I am finishing up the emporium
