This is awesome! Thank you - just made my day. I was one of the cast members that was invited on this attraction when they were testing it before opening. Did Tower of Terror, too. Both were way Way WAY! more intense than what they opened to the public with. This ride in particular was absolutely terrifying during testing. It was like being transported with the 4D effects into the movie Aliens. I remember there being a fake guest that gets eaten and the blood(water effects) that dripped and sprayed all over you in complete darkness was unreal. It was an awesome ride even with the intensity that was lowered for opening - but from those screams you can hear how realistic they got all of those 4d effects even after making it a milder attraction. I can still feel the ailien breathing his warm hot breath on my neck before doing something crazy in that attraction. From it's origins of flying us into space to that....awesome. The adaption later to Stitch didn't quite work but was still fun.

I ate there last Friday and Saturday. Both calzones are amazing. I only tried 2 drinks, the Fire Flower and Super Star. From those the Fire Flower fizz is my favorite. I ordered both from regular line and mobile order, easy transactions.

This type of stuff makes me so excited for the future of VR in terms of re-creating places that no longer exist. I can only imagine what it will be like in 10-20 years.

I kind of understand why, but I'm little disappointed they don't have the souvenir cookie tins from the Universal Japan version. Maybe Orlando will have those next year.

I don’t understand why Disney wanted to close this! This ride was amazing.

So glad I was able to go on the original version, what they have done to it is awful.

I wish I could have ridden this. I rode it in VR Chat a few days ago, it captured the whole course of the ride and the music was perfectly synced but the lighting and details are very simplistic because the world is so new, just a few days old I think.

I love the weird Pink Floyd like sounds in the train tunnel I wish there was a clear recording of that sound

Thank you very much, on Friday I’m going to universal and I have a budget of a hundred dollars, so I might get the pin set, the Mario kart popcorn bucket, and did they have a chef toad plush? because I’ll need that, and what’s left over will be all the other stuff

Looking back on this ride and its ideas of life in the 21st century, I'm struck by how it's always the little things that end up coming to pass and never the big things (which can be said of similar predict the future rides from an earlier era like "Carousel Of Progress" in its original concept). The scenes of video communication culminating with the birthday party is basically an accurate prediction of Zoom chatting. But we aren't going to be traveling into space on a regular basis (this was made pre-Challenger disaster when ambitions about that were getting very unrealistic) and no one really wants to live in an undersea city either to justify building things like that.

Very good quality! And that is unique to see things stopped briefly in the tunnel and to see better how that whole effect worked. I think the only kind of video I'm really still hoping might surface would be a Nightvision recording because that capability was there in the 90s and I'm amazed we haven't see one WDW Toad recording that way yet.

Hyperion's Animation for this preshow is underrated

I did this when Minecon rented the park out in 2013. I was too scared to go on a lot of the rides so, me and my dad did this castle tour. I ended up seeing CaptainSparkles and a few other RUclipsrs while walking through Hogwarts.
