1) You can cancel the faux bidders if you think they are fake 2) you can end an auction at anytime but you would be charged the fee's at the value of of the highest bid 3) You have to put an "unpaid item strike" on a bidder if they do not pay.. if they get 3 of those strikes in 6 months.. they lose their account. (23 year ebay seller here, expert I guess lol)

the person deleted their comment but I wanted to answer the question anyway... they asked "how do you cancel their bids"... all sellers have the ability to cancel any bids on their items if they so choose.. buyers can also cancel their bids (in most categories not all) up to 12 hours before auction close. To know how to do this just google "cancel a bid on ebay"
After looking through Google images, that Misty's Favor is most likely a custom card. It also appears a little too risqué for Pokemon Company to produce something like that for a character that's supposed to be a young teenager.

Automatic payments has been implemented on certain types of eBay sales.

Pete, EBay is rolling out a new procedure. They're going to make bidders give all their identification and card number before they bid on any particular auction. That way, if they don't pay Ebay will charge their card automatically if they win the auction. I think this will eliminate a lot of shenanigans on auctions.

You can filter out deadbeat bidders and since I started doing that, have not had a problem in years. The only caveat is they have to have at least 1 unpaid item strike against them.
@@user-jd6nx1ys4f Not sure you read my post but you can literally prevent known deadbeat bidders from bidding with a filter. I’ve actually had bidders contact me and ask, why can’t I bid on your item?

I love seeing the post cards from Door County. I have watched the postcards from the first day Pete did videos with them. I sent mine back in May when I stayed in Fish Creek right outside Peninsula Park. Door County is getting better about having things to do for handicapped people. Like the Eagles tower with the 850 foot ramp to the top of the tower.
Enjoyed the video! Make sure you plug up all the holes on that vacuum pump! There will be still oil and it will come out of the handle and that upper fitting. Take care!

I love your channel. Years ago one of my first jobs over the summer was working at a family friends pawn shop. I was 16. I learned so much about negotiation and how to resell items. This was around 1999-2000. My job was to organize all the inventory and work items onto the floor that came out of pawn. I taught the owner who was an older fella how to use Ebay and I slowly sold everything that was in his "it'll never sell" corner. lol

Hey Peter, I have seen personally a family member have sanctions placed on their account for failing to pay for several won auctions and I believe as a seller you have the option to exclude those sanctioned buyers from bidding because that family member told me they lost the ability to bid for a period of time but only with certain sellers. Love the show man, take care!

When I used to list high priced items, there were always people who would bid high prices, had a new account with zero feedback. I removed their bids and blocked them.
Definitely please update us on the unicorn lamp. I was so going to try and bid on it but once I saw it was at that time $1500 I was like nope can’t do that price. It’s a shame though because dang it looks awesome. Fingers crossed for you Pete it pans out great for you and they do pay up. You never know though.

I have a bunch of my uncle's old NASCAR collectible cars including a TON of Dale Earnhardt who was his hero, a lot of the cars have decals for certain things like Lowe's Bass Pro Shop, Wrangler, and there's some with Elvis. Also that Misty's Favor is a custom card

I saw the spring loaded car with the steering and I never knew those were a thing....that sounds like something super fun for a kid. And that made me think...
What good is a super nice classic toy like that if a child will never gets to play with it. Years ago I saw videos on how various auction houses secretly buy their own stuff to make a simple thing like a "sealed" video game worth a LOT of money which in turn drives the used "market" value up for no actual reason.
I hope toys like that get played with because that's what the person who designed it meant to happen. If a person can walk into a store and buy a relic of his own childhood but yet not pay so damn much that he wouldn't dare let his son just "play" with it...then what is it really???

Ebay has started charging your card on file when you send an offer and it's accepted...no more not paying when you send a seller an offer. They need to start doing that for auction bidding, not letting you bid unless you KNOW that your card is going to be charged if you're the winning bidder!!

I also wanted to say that i seen where u had some controversey little while back on some stuff with people thinking u didn't pay someone enough money for their stuff! I was raised honest and u can tell u were as well Pete! Obviously a good man as well! U run a business, do u get your money back when u take a hit? OF course not! It's one thing if its an understanding of a consignment deal but if not it is what it is! Why cant u find the diamond in the rough,u dont know what someone will bid/ pay!
