I could literally watch these all day. The authentic pawn shop vibe is such a cool feeling
Dude I commented the same exact thing on another video, I always wanted to watch a real pawn shop video, not those pawn stars fake crap.
For sure! There’s something so cool about it, it’s like going garage sale shopping with your grandma on Saturdays as a child, just a vibe of its own
I'm actually glad it's not a pawn shop, we need more "trading post" instead of pawn shops that drain your wallet every month.
That's interesting since it's NOT A PAWN shop, they are illegal in Crystal Lake Illinois where Peter is, he buys outright as loans, what pawn shops do) are ILLEGAL in Crystal Lake, omg!😂😂
Damn you guys talking sh*t in my comment replies really have nothing better to do 🤣. I used pawn shop as a loose term, that's what they are called where I'm from. Chill tf out
This world needs more genuine people like yourself!
I've worked with the bubble/package makers daily for 5 plus years. The reason it stops making the "pillows" at a certain amount, is because of the sensor. The sensor stops the machine from making more when the box or bin is full. This prevents the machine from running the whole roll of bubbles and or overfilling the bin. If you set the machine on the edge of the table and let it run (with the bubbles falling to the ground, or into a box/bin) it will continually run.
perfectly iterated!
used to working warehouse, can confirm
They made 5000 of those Mountain Dew Xbox's. Very desirable and with the original box even more. Very nice buy.
What makes the Halo box, the central disc?
Its called a "Paramotor", I'm a pilot. That is a very old unit not safe to fly unless your a gutsy guy with some experience. The brand you have is called a Mini Plane. If you have any questions feel free to ask! You would be lucky to sell the entire package in the $1500-2000 range but it will be very hard as safety is number one and older units do not have the safety of new models (especially the wing) I'm guessing its an older wing.. but the wing could make you your money back if its not old and crusty!! The cage unit is called a Paramotor, and the wing is the Paraglider.
Is there any kind of actual ID/License number on this type of device? (State, Federal/FAA) I am North of your border, and our rules might be different. As much as ANY operator should be concerned about their own safety, I am not aware of any mandated inspection or 'registration' of any kind. In the US at least, is it your opinion that the purchase and sale of this machine is entirely legal?
It is only my opinion that Pete will have no legal strings attached to sell this thing. I wouldn't know if it is required in the US to protect ones' self further with some kind of agreement which states the terms of the sale is for material good only, and does not constitute a functional machine. Any and all usage is at the risk of any potential purchaser.
I am more familiar with Canadian lighter-than-air regulations, but even they are serialized, licensed and must adhere to actual Aircraft desgination and limitations there-in.
It falls under FAR103 laws and is considered an ultra light aircraft by law. It is 100% legal to sell. Part of FAR103 is the pilot assumes all risk.
@@Onion_Peeler Excellent, thank you Sir.
Bad timing with paramotor as they were used in terrorist attack
@@ricky7396 Agreed. It is still marketable in NA
This guy is the definition of the American dream! Respect sir! Edit: Mr. Peter I Personally love that Morton salt sign.
I was eyeing that too! ☔
I worked at a furniture consignment shop for 4 years, this is how this stuff goes. I never thought 10 years later I'd be back watching the day-to-day of my previous life. Love it, great times, awesome work!
I totally agree about the eBay auctions thing. I just recently had someone “win” an auction and I sent a payment reminder and then all of a sudden they tell me they never made the purchase and asked me to cancel. I asked them to cancel on their end and then the person got angry with me saying how they’ve been an eBay buyer for however many years and never had any issues and that they would be reporting me and leaving bad feedback. I simply messaged back ok sir and blocked him from being able to buy from me. It’s frustrating.
Humans are dumb af
@chadgilman7392 ....... I do the very same .... If they've bid then they should cancel i put it down to "you do it as you've wasted my time" .... Then exactly what you said they come back with verbal assaults and i'm reporting you bla bla bla ...... Buyer's seem to think when they buy from ebay it's like the same customer service they should receive if buying in a shop "customer is always right" don't think so you fail to pay and waste my time you'll be told and held accountable for it via my attitude reply back whether they like it or not haha
Over here in Germany it’s a binding contract when you place a bid and eBay even sends you a warning with that information before you can place the bid.
If you don’t pay you tell it ebay and they delete the account, but are also obligated to give you the buyers information so you can take him to court.
eBay doesn't actually care, and I'll tell you why: Unpaid auctions still show up as a sale to everyone searching "Sold Items". People use past eBay sales for comps. eBay likes inflated comps, because of the (very likely) possibility that influences someone to buy or sell some things for more money than they would have otherwise. The unpaid auction means nothing to them, because it probably wasn't going to be a real sale anyway. And it doesn't drive off buyers (their main concern) if auctions go unpaid. There is actually no financial incentive for them to care.
if you ever use Terapeak for comps, you might notice that it's fairly common for some odd items to show up as as being sold at a ridiculous price. If you look closer, these are usually auctions that ended with ONE bid. Look a little more and you will see that the same seller has re-listed that item "Buy It Now" for a similar price. I've never looked into the success of this strategy, and I don't know how they manage this. I am sure the success is rate is very low, but I doubt they are *completely* wasting their time. *Why* would eBay care to stop this? It's probably making them some extra money every single day.
this is maybe good for dealing with non-criminals, but I am certain that people who do this use fake accounts -- probably with stolen info. I don't know enough about how people spoof accounts these days, it's probably a lot easier than I know@@rolux4853
The gentleman might be right with the air compressor not having enough to fill the bags, it also might be sensing as if your bin is full. Try hanging off the table. Love your show Love your animals thanks for letting us watch
Only 5000 of those Mountain Dew Xbox game consoles were made, so they're extremely rare & expensive! I love seeing items like that show up in your videos! To get the console people had to buy bottles of Mountain Dew and collect the points. The console cost $99.99 + $8.75 shipping + 550 Mountain Dew points. I have no idea how many points a single bottle of mountain dew would give you.
My friends dad was a janitor at our school and collected enough points out of the trash to get the console and 2 controllers.
Loving the longer videos, Pete! You guys rock!
This is much better to watch than the sensationalised tv reality shows that have the fake setups. I was going to say the tv guys should approach this channel but thinking about it no, they would ruin it.
I can't watch scripted "reality."
They will definitely ruin it. They will take out everything people love about this channel
TV execs have no concept of what makes for compelling drama.
eBay should charge a 10 percent fee of the final price if they don't go through with it
@@xx-bt8lpWhy would the seller send the item before they get confirmation of full payment from the buyer? Your comment doesnt make any sense.
21:15 Avirex is an American company that designs, manufactures and markets clothing lines. It was founded by Jeff Clyman in 1975 as a brand for military apparel. Contrary to popular belief, Avirex was not a U.S. military supplier during World War II. In 1987 the company worked on re-issuing of A-2 jacket for the United States Air Force.
In 2006, Jeff Clyman sold the Avirex brand and trademark as well as the Avirex sportswear and hip-hop fashion lines in Europe, Japan, and the United States. The new owner of the US Avirex brand in the United States is Centric Brands.
Nice Google search but it's basically just a hip hop clothing brand
@@justinbrowning2079 It's quite obvious that many people don't do Step 1 when asking a question. I realize RUclipsrs do this to drive up engagement, but my comment is Step 1 for the folks watching.
Paragliders are awesome - and they even make them for bigger people weighing up to nearly 500 pounds, if you can afford them and are brave enough to fly one weighing that much.
My friend Chris Huffines built an Easy Riser ultralight with a McCulloch go cart engine. I helped in the 1070's. He could fly anything. Unfortunately he died trying to do a loop in a Quicksilver 2 ultralight.
AVIREX was huge back in the 90s-00s in the hip hop scene for clothing. They made shirts, jeans, jackets and accessories. Lot of artists wore that brand in the music videos and award shows etc... I'm guilty of having a few myself big ole baggy stuff 😂
It went from baggy loose clothing to skin tight shirts and skinny jeans now. You don't want to see a 40 yr old dad bod guy in skinny jeans 😂
That bubble
Machine, definitely worth it, especially in your business
I'd buy that machine for $275 all day and all night. The pillows worked great for packing household items for our move.
you're incredibly fair. $200 for that first guy is reallllly fair. He'd be lucky to get that selling online with all the hassle.
Also seemed intoxicated
Thank you for sharing your knowledge to the customer and the viewer in such a respectful way. I love your inventory too!
damn, I worked at a record store for years, and when I think of the massive amount of time spent to check the condition of everything that came in… if we ever bought a collection without flipping over the disc or pulling out and checking the vinyl condition, we were dead dead meat. I think it’s awesome that you have such a cool and trustworthy crew/local sellers.
Glad you brought up that issue with Ebay. They also need to have more "seller protection" implemented as well. And I hope they do change things soon cause it is annoying dealing with scammers who claim to not receive items, or that the item is defective and then return you something different. Ebay can be wild.
I just found your channel and I’m hooked. I really enjoy watching your videos. You seem like a great person, and your cats cool too!
Just found this page! Love the content. Feels like I’m hanging out with my uncle and his cool shop mates. I will be sticking around!
Congrats on the Reseller Rally success! Everyone I have spoken to has said that they had an absolute blast!
Just found your show a few days ago. Thanks for posting this. I enjoy it a lot
Pete, my fine sir... You hit the "nail on the head" when you mentioned Ebay concerns of rulings, rules, regulations and such. Sellers at any given moment seem to get penalized in a sense for returns, non-commits, fraudulent bids; albeit buyers, there's simply no repercussion for committed purchases or very minimal sanctions. On a more positive note, you are a blessing to the business Peter!
I watch these while working all the way across the ocean in sunny South Africa. Keep being awesome guys! Love the content
The tiny compressor in the packaging machine is probably only enough to fill that many bags at once and it means you can tap it and do something and not worry it will "print" out 100 of them.. Maybe there is a dial somewhere to change it from 1-10 or something.. Very jealous of that lie Nielsen that came in!
***THE MASHING HAS TO BE PUT UP WERE THE SENCER CAN SEE THE WHOLE COUNTER* *CATER*
I love the channel. Its fascinating on a few levels. One things I would suggest; promote WHERE to find your shop online or in person on each video. I am still looking where to find it but I know if you put information in each video on where to find the shop, business would bump up quite a bit.
It has a screen with buttons....probably can adjust the amount of bags that it fills
Love the video. As always, great content, Pete. Looking forward to going to the reseller rally next year
Loving the longer videos. Keep up the great work.
Thanks for the update on the Fantasia lava lamp. I was hoping it was a real bid and the sale would go through. It has gotten me and many more to subscribe to your channel and enjoy your knowledge. I wish you good luck and best wishes.
Yes, Malachite. Good video. Love seeing Honey laying on items!!! Ruby, hello! ❤
I like your videos man, you seem like a very fair business man, hope to visit your shop sometime, keep up the awesome videos.
I totally agree with the eBay faulty payment system on auction same thing with offers if a person makes an offer and the seller accepts the buyer is instantaneously charged
Completely agree about eBay bidding issue. Have an item up for 7 days, probably includes people who really would have bought it and you miss out on the sale and nothing happens.
Immediate payment is an option on BIN items, I don’t understand why they can’t just add it to BIDs.. eBay are useless
I enjoy your videos, you are such a genuine person. Pure heart good to see that. I love pawning for jewelry. They do not make it like they used to. Much Luv!!
Well if you're ever at Peter's trading post in Crystal Lake Illinois you won't be pawning for anything since Peter's not a pawn broker and it's illegal to have pawn shops in Crystal Lake, peter buy's items outright/, no loans
I think the new style of videos you have are grape and behind-the-scenes is the way to go I mean I mean the videos you have are great and I think behind-the-scenes videos are pretty darn good and Ruby getting into every conversation and honey who has to inspect every single thing that comes to the shop you couldn't ask for better employees❤❤❤
Indeed. He just keeps raisin the bar.😁
orange you glad they are longer
@@tillitsdonepete and ruby make a great pear

Hey Pete just wanted to say thank you for your videos they are awesome
If I were you, I’d make an airboat out of the paraglider. If I were younger, I’d grab it. I was the kid that tied helium balloons to a yard chair in the late 1960’s. It didn5 work as I never left the ground. Still have dreams and trying to write checks that my body can’t cash. Thanks for the memories.
eBay pulled the same crap with me many years ago. You know what they also did? I had a perfect feedback record. Some guy bids on my item and wins and leaves me negative feedback that says "I only looked at this item didn't bid" - if you didn't bid then how are you the winner of my auction? He didn't pay, he left me negative feedback, eBay wouldn't do anything.
i also had a perfect record on ebay
now the VAT has kicked in its worthless selling o there now
Wow This sounds like ebay's going down the hill
eBay is a nightmare as a seller. I have a 20 plus year old account with 100% positive feedback I haven’t used in 13 years because they screwed me on a $10 tie.
In the last 2-3 years maybe more this is just when we started noticing it. It’s really getting worse as in people bidding and then not paying. And of course eBay does nothing.
Happy to see you back 😊
There are different modes for that machine... there should be a manual mode also where you hold the green button and it goes until you let it go.. also you can adjust the amount of air in each one
Here in Ireland Smitwicks is pronounced Smithicks The W is silent.
And only American tourists drink it lol.
I have to say I do enjoy a nice pint of Smithwicks...I'm from Belfast.
Pete. So authentic. Each video is a masterclass on dealing with people. Proud to know you.
Man is so honest,
One of kind
If everyone is like him the world will be better place !
Everytime I see Honey, I just smile 😊 She seems like such a sweetheart and she is so darn beautiful
Thank you! You are a very honest and sharing person.
In the most recent season of 'Futurama' Bender gets a job at an Amazon-type company and during his training he'd told that when small items are shipped it goes into a big box with ONE air pillow. Your air pillow machine reminded me of that episode and it made me laugh. Your videos are golden.
I remember when you bought a bunch of boxes of bubble bags. Now you own the machine!! Super cool!!
i look forward to your new videos.. you are an interesting person and have a natural ability to grab folks attention
Your cat kicks ass!
Good content. The shoes tho, I bought a nice pair of kangaroos from a Goodwill. I put them on one morning after work and walked down to the neighbors. Walked thru dewy grass and after standing on a porch for awhile, I looked down and there was black crumbs on the porch. The soles of the Kangaroos had dissolved. Apparently they had dry rotted.
Big Pete! You should hold on to that Paraglider and do a collab with popular RUclipsr Tucker Gott. He Flys all over with those things. It'd be gold to see you and him interact as he tested it out haha.
Peter there is only one way to test that paraglider/paramotor, it's time for you to fly
Put it on a boat!
I love the Unicorn, so cute!!! Be kind to each other. Stay safe. Love to all
Hope you enjoyed Lincoln, NE. Live in the Omaha area, but went to college in Lincoln and lived there several years. I'd move back in a heartbeat! Keep up the great work!
I just found this channel and I absolutely love it!!
that paraglider im sure u have to have something to fly them.. make sure they have that paper work or whatever to sell it to them
hey Pete, chiming in from Minnesota. Love your videos man. They all have such a positive vibe, even when you're dealing with scammers and such, your videos are uplifting and relaxing!
I know this is completely random. But how's the weather there in Minnesota? I'm asking cause I live in the south. And was really enjoying the 80° nights. Then all of a sudden it feels like late fall just gave me a swift kick in the nads. Anyways I wish you a good day!
Hey man! It's rainy at the moment, and it's been unseasonably cool this week. However we too had a very warm fall, including 100° on Labor Day and a high temp record set the weekend of October 1st. The switch feels really sudden here also. The weekend of the first, I was hiking in shorts and T-shirt, last weekend, jeans flannel and jacket.
I envy your southern weather when it's the dead of winter here! We typically see subzero temperatures at least once every winter.
Watching from Bundaberg Qld Australia - kepp up the xcellent work!
Your still just like a kid, I love it! Great videos! TY
Chase after the right price just had a video the other day where they found one of those Mountain Dew Xbox. Crazy to see another one in a video a few days later, especially cause they're pretty rare 💯
Hello Peter it was great to talk with you at the Rally. Thanks for letting me buy you a drink on the Riverboat. Have a great day. Interesting video as always.😊
New subscriber here from Manila Philippines.
Motorola radio you have there. Looks exactly like the 1 Gilligan would carry around when they were on a deserted island 📻🏖️🏝️⛱️🌴
Please do a follow-up video once you get that air packaging machine figured out please!
It is a prox switch used on lots of machines... I think the intent is you can swipe your hand under it, and it will produce x bags. Depending on how many you need rip those off, swipe again and start packing your products in box....this way you dont have bags filled with air taking up space.
Just found your channel...and I love it!!..I'm hooked
For the bubble machine: Storing the plastic roll takes up a lot less space than having a bunch of plastic bubbles lying around, and you only need ‘em when you’re packing something to ship. I’d rather hit the button 3 times if I need that much to pack an item, than have a coworker prank me by pushing the “start” button and letting it run overnight!
imagine a scenario where the whole room is filling with plastic bubbles -- you put an industrial sized roll on the machine, now you're getting squished against the wall, and you can't get to the button to turn the machine off 🤣
@@corneliusthecrowtamer1937 turns out I was wrong: some people who have worked with this machine told him how to configure it properly so that it doesn’t stop after 8 or so bubbles. I’m with you though, it seems ripe for mischief and disaster!
Ryan: ya I bought it for a thousand bucks.
I think we can get 2 or 3 grand out of it.
Pete: How long have you worked here?
Ryan: 10 years
Pete: Have your resignation on my desk in the morning Ryan.
I like your videos. Thanks for posting.
No footage from the Reseller Rally!? That would've made a great video!
DAMN, that paraglider's a steal!
Wish you were in my local!
I just found your channel. Just subscribed to your channel. Lover your videos. Love your Kitty and the birds too!
That paraglider is awesome. Those thinks can cost 10-15k.
We those dunnage machines (bubble machines) at work. They are made to fill a bin and that eye is a proximity eye that sees when the bill is full of that dunnage or bubbles. So if you drill a hole in the table, the eye will see further and keep running until you stop it. Or you can put it over a bin with the eye looking over it. When it is full it will stop. You pull as you need.
I love how ruby was on cue at the end
I stumbled across you, and I watch mainly car stuff, but I really enjoy your content. I can't tell you why, but it intrigues me
Hey Peter, so, when are yall going to take the paraglider up for a test flight? It'll be fun to watch! Lol! You buy some unusual stuff, now you just need a test pilot! Thanks for letting us hang out at the Trading Post with you! God bless!
Im 90% sure its because its on a table. I worked at a best buy distrubution center that had four of these mounted to poles with giant net sunderneath them. The table is probably close enough to trigger the sensor. Try positioning it so the sensor aims at the floor and try that
i worked at DC 781.had the same setup in ecom fulfillment.
Just came across this show. Great show and was so cool to see a postcard(355) from where im from Prince edward Island
I live in Lincoln and just subscribed yesterday, hope you enjoyed it!
The packaging machine is meant to be on a overhead shelf, then a netted box sits below it. That way the machine will fill the netted box up every time you pull bubble packaging from the bottom of the box, the sensor refills the box to the level of the sensor.
Cracked me up with the air bag machine y😂
Stopping by to say hi from Alberta…enjoy you and Ruby [my favourite] and Honey
Peter God bless you man I don't know how you put up with all this crazy shit. I hope when you lock the door at night you can put it all out of your head. Love the pets
You get the weirdest things coming in. And a bunch of different personalities. Thank goodness you have a sense of humor and patience.
Cool long form video, awesome content!! keep it up!
$275 to bad at all! That was a steal ❤
If you use buy it now, there is an option for 'require immediate payment'. Also, you can go in and change setting so that buyers who have multiple unpaid items strikes, are not permitted to bid on your items. This has been extremely helpful for me, and haven't had an unpaid for item since. Hope helps
