  • FAA's From the Flight Deck video series uses cockpit mounted cameras to capture runway and taxiway footage and combines them with diagrams and visual graphics to clearly identify hot spots and other safety-sensitive items. Learn more at www.faa.gov/FromTheFlightDeck
Visit www.faa.gov/bfi for supplemental "pilot handbook" information on this airport including airport-specific cautions, information local controllers want pilots to know, airport communications, airspace details and other preflight planning resources.
To address wrong surface events where an aircraft lines up to or lands on the incorrect runway, taxiway, or airport, the FAA released Arrival Alert Notices (AAN) at various airports with a history of misalignment risk. View the BFI Arrival Alert Notice here: www.faa.gov/airports/runway_s...
Airport in this video: Boeing Field, Seattle, WA (BFI)
    -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
    Video Contents:
    0:34 - Airport Layout/Diagram Description
0:51 - Parallel Runways - Pilots should be aware of the distance between runways 14L and 14R. The visual from the pilot perspective can be confusing
1:35 - Hot Spot 1 - Taxiway Z appears to be an extension of taxiway B, however taxiway Z may only be used with prior permission from airport management.
2:08 - Hot Spot 2 - The intersection of taxiway A9 and runway 14R-32L is a notable area in which pilots have occasionally departed in the wrong direction. Pilots should always verify their heading prior to starting departure roll.
2:43 - Taxiway A is aligned with 14L-32R, which may give pilots the impression that aircraft are departing on the taxiway. Looking at the airport diagram will clear up this confusion.
3:22 - Helicopter Landing Area - Aircraft taxiing on taxiway B approaching B5 should be aware that taxiway B5 is a designated helicopter landing area, and there are hold short marks on taxiway B for this reason. Pilots should be aware of this area, so as to not interfere with helicopter operations on the field.

You can find additional videos featuring KBFI on my RUclips channel, including videos that highlight VFR arrival/departure procedures. For example: ruclips.net/video/Zc_HzM8rMEM/видео.html and ruclips.net/video/ZjlNgKriYrM/видео.html

Flew into KBFI a few times. This video is quite helpful, I'll definitely be keeping this in mind next time I fly there.

Helpful video. Would help to also go over the preferred VFR arrival procedures, north and south flows, for KBFI, given its close proximity to KSEA.

There should be PDFs for each of them on google. If you use the correct keywords.

The VFR arrival and departure procedures change unfortunately often. They were just updated again within the last month. The new procedures can be found at kingcounty.gov/~/media/services/airport/documents/pilot-info/vfr-handout.ashx?la=en
WARNING: These procedures may be superseded in the future, so if this comment is very old (like more than 3 months, you should check the Chart Supplement and the King County website for the airport.
