nice review! Also should mention, the cooling gel in the cushions is fantastic! The range is pretty good also, I've gone two rooms over to the kitchen and still hearing a video play np
After owning this headset for just over a year, I have to say I'm just as in love with it now as I was when I purchased it. Also, whatever hissing you speak of has never been present for me except when using them while charging at the same time. Perhaps that's what you're referring to. Either it was an unlucky population who experience it or fixed in a later hardware/firmware update. The EQ out of the box is overwhelming with mids and severely lacking in lows. After a few minutes of tweaking I got it where I like it and haven't touched it since - for gaming or music. Initially, I found the fit a bit too tight. I have a giant head so I was willing to give this headset a pass. I was especially concerned considering I wear glasses. However, the tiny straps they have to squish down the padding ONLY in the channel glasses would fit work wonderfully - even with my big head. I later found the grip to loosen enough to be much more comfortable but not so much as to simply fall off my head. Let's say they took a month or two to 'break in'. I have plenty of listening hours with professional studio headphones. I'm very fond of Beyerdynamic's sound and feel (oh, that velour...). This headset is the most natural that I've found to dial in your desired sound without sounding artificial or compromising in any way. Just don't mix a record with them. They aren't studio reference headphones, nor are they pretending to be or marketed as such. What they are, however, is a fantastic gaming headset that just happens to serve music well; the closest sound intended for the listener with the availability to shape it how you desire and still sound authentic. If there has been a battery life decline I haven't noticed. 30 hours is very attainable even at a modest volume. I've had occasional glitches in the software, e.g. assigning the option wheel to control Variable Mic Monitoring and it not actually changing anything despite the UI showing it is. It took assigning the wheel to something else, then VMM again to make it work properly. You may encounter similar bugs. Nothing game-breaking, especially once you figure out what's happening. Surely a little more attention could be paid to the software accompanying a $150 headset via updates. Alas, here we are. Unfortunately, the plastic where the headband connects to the earcups finally broke right at the year mark. It had been cracked for some time (probably unnoticed for quite a while), simply from just pulling them apart taking them on and off. Customer service has been amazing regarding replacing them. Even though the plastic shattered where the serial number was located, they were still more than happy to fully replace my headset without even having to send the original in. Check trustpilot if you have any doubt in their customer service. I'm disappointed that such an expensive headset broke so easily through no fault of my own, but I won't deny their willingness to own up to it being a design/material issue. There may be better options out there. But after several months of buying, testing, and returning headsets as an attempt to find something I felt justified the money spent, this is what I settled on. And despite the flaws I've mentioned, I still feel like the fit, sound, and experience I've had justify the minor inconveniences I've incurred.
@Stretchosaurus What specifically did you say to customer service to get them to replace them? Same thing happened to me, and I wasn't even using them when they broke. I bought mine exactly a year ago like yesterday and literally woke up and low and behold the plastic were broken right where it connects the rotating ear cup to the top part of the headset.
@Mime without a Box I explained what happened exactly and filled out the warranty claim I got from their website. I let them know that I couldn't provide a serial number because the plastic shattered where it's printed. They had no problem honoring the warranty despite this. BTW, about to go through it again because this replacement pair lasted about a month before it started breaking on the other side in a slightly different place. It's incredible the lack of build quality packed into a $150 headset...
ive had these headphones for 2 weeks now one headphone has stopped working. any fix? or is it broken? i havent dropped them or anything ive been treating them like my baby
Sound quality is good but not worth the issues with connection and mic. I regret that i didnt return these in time, now its too late. Definetly not worth 150$
came here after my friend shit on me and told me to return this product. I personally think I made a good purchase considering I only payed 100$ not including tax. ima trust my gut here. hopefully I didn't make a mistake.
I just bought these myself, are you experiencing any issues yet? I've seen some negative comments online but so far I think the sound is fucking great! I'm no audiophile but I like these a lot!
@@colgate1002 hey there thanks for the reply What about the footsteps when playing games like warzone is it easy to hear them? Also software wise I heard people have problems so they have to reinstall each time they restart Thier PC? Do u have these problems?
so I play tarkov and need to hear footsteps ect anyone know what I should be running on these 3d? game? stabilizer? I have been playing with superhuman footsteps anything else I should have on or off?
Its a POS. The plastic above the earphone has crumbled for me making the right earphone useless. TWICE. because I had a backup pair. The headset has mood swings and just decides it doesn't want to turn on some days and on others it will keep disconnecting. And for whatever reason if I'm doing something involving moving a lot of files around on my computer it will disconnect and start beeping for a while until I stop.
The virtuosos are probably better but these are better value. i have heard the earcups on the virtuosos are really big so they might not be too comfortable. But if you have the money, i would go with the virtuosos but since i dont have the money i will buy these.

Cooling gel? Bruh, these heat up your ears quicker than most gaming headsets. They have shite breathability.

How is this so little viewed..?
Hey thx for the review!
I just got 1 question.
Which is better? Razer nari ultimate or this one?
Hyperx Cloud Flight.
I owned the Razer Nari ultimate for 6 months and it wouldn't turn on anymore. Got this and it's so much better
How is the weight? I heared that this headset is around 800gramms. Is that true? It sounds really heavy...
my question is how do you mute it?

question what is better turtle beach elite atlas (3d sound) vs HyperX Cloud II (7.1)
3d sound, hyperx 7.1 kinda suck in my opinion
Hyperx cloud 2.
