If it was not for Mr. Greg Carr and his crew, I would not have made out of law school. He taught us first year law students that community was more than the law school. If we wanted to breathe life into our career trajectory we had to find our time and space of our ancestors.

My goodness! So much truth being spoken here.
First, giving thanks. Asking you to consider that, for many of us, these interwebs have become our main source of knowledge. In that context, you Brothers are literally giving us food for the soul. I must also shout out to Ms. Karen Hunter for bringing Dr. Greg Carr into the scope of my awareness. I am a Black man from N.Y. and artist currently located in Europe. I have been working in music, theater, dance and other media for a couple of decades and also often as a teacher. From the very beginning, I understood that the true significance of my life and "career" would be the work(s) that I have done and what service I can provide to my community and t the world. My decision not to pursue a college degree or degrees has made that an exceptionally challenging road to travel. I am certain that there are many others who appreciate the knowledge and guidance which you provide today. Grateful. ALso, coincidentally, my friend Fatima was the choreographer for that video "Remember the Time". They knew what "time" it was, when they did that project.

As to the question of colorism I would suggest that white supremacy fails to discriminate due to the spectrum of black. While some may experience one kind of mistreatment and another experience another, it’s all oppressive and traumatic, so that slogan, “If ya light yo alright, if yo brown stick around and if yo black got back is bs. Black in all its expressions has its pain and trauma✌🏾💚✊🏾

This has been a wonderful meeting with you two here. I watch Prof. Hunter and Dr. Carr every Saturday. I did learn a lot and having to wonderful heads talk was thrilling and educational.
