@ 4r7ur - yeah theres a Japanese Protectron in diamondcity market, hes the one that runs the place called Power noodles... he says some japanese words, interesting enough the nakanos from the far harbor DLC dont say any japanese words.
no iv never seen a Japanese sentry bot 17th century samurai personality or otherwise.
i have seen british robot butlers... in tales from the commonwealth if you do the quest "under the bridge" and you go to the summer estate on nanhant island just down the street from croup manor they have a mister handy butler...
British mr handys are not rare though... theres a british mr handy runing the 3rd rail bar for hancock in goodneighbor.
yes curie was french, she was a Mrs Nanny.. she was a one of a kind Mrs Nanny, i seen others theres one at the school house in diamond city, and theres one at the cambridge polymer labs... but iv never seen a mrs nanny get converted into a assultron...
also during this video i was certain that when the transformation happened id see a dead assultron there... but magically she transformed back into her mrs nanny form some how, watching this was kinda interesting casue i did not think that was going to happen.

Part of me was wanting it to default back to factory code and act like another one of your robots. But hey you know what this means? If you are less then caring you can strip her down to minimum parts before changing her.

that curie is a specialy scripted version, ie why you can hack her, this is why she changes, she also keeps the inventort you gave her, as its transfered

What about lines not changing even if Curie is a robobrain(in other words already gone through procedure in some fashion and has organic brain)? Wasn't that also lazy oversight?

Oh great and mighty Fluffy, I found Danse had unique comments on robots in general after I finished the DLC. Just talk to him as a companion and he will say "I've no problem with robots as long as they follow orders" and "robot parts are worth their weight in gold" he said one other thing but, I forgot. He went back to his romanced comments after saying those three things. I would love if you would post a vid with what the other companions say!
Until you trade Synth Curie for another follower she'll retain her Ms. Nanny combat habit of switching to melee when the enemy comes too close. This probably makes her the best follower, so long as you are willing to stick with her for the rest of the game.

you need Automatron DLC to unlock these possibilities. you cant salvage curies old bodie though, but dont worry if you come back later i think her robot body will have disapeared by then i think Dr Amari can salvage her body some how.
its possible to change cogsworth with the robot work bench, i dont know what you mean by patch up... you can patch him up, if he gets damaged you can use robot repair kits on him.
You can give him a fresh coat of paint and he looks good as new. I think that is the best you can hope for.
Did you know that if you are enemies with the railroad, Glory wont be there for this quest? It will be an NPC called caretaker and she says that shes ok with the procedure because the job is getting too expensive. I did this quest after bunker hill and that's what happened.
I'm sure you can persuade or threaten them, I've really only ever sides with the RR though besides a few rushed play throughs as the BoS and MM.

He may not class as sapient. Curie had a butt load of upgrades done to her to get her to the stage she's in, Codsworth just floated around an empty town.

There is a mod that can let you make synths using any NPC's face. They'll just be settlers though and their voices wont be the same. (It's called Workshop Synth Production if you're interested btw)

I didn't think emergent Behavior would really account for the automatron DLC I also happen to arrive earlier as the synth Curie walked into the room I was also upset that you couldn't pick up what was left of the Miss Nanny robot and retrofit it into a jetpack for Curie to use with all the working googly eyes and arms.

Wow..This is actually my first time seeing Curies quest with Glory instead of Caretaker...Ironicly, if you do this quest before meeting the Railroad (aka with Caretaker), Glory acts as if she was the one to deliver the body...

I did this quest after automatron and was able to put her back into her robot body and modify it because I hadn't talked to her since she got her synth body.
So.....just remove all mods before doing her quest. I don't really see an issue here once you know of the problem.
Ya I was curious of this same thing but instead of risking my good parts, I stripped Curie of anything good and then used all those parts to make a Curie MK2

Theres a glitch where if you return to the robot workbench with synth curie, she'll become a miss nanny again.
I like the idea of a mechanic sole survivor not knowing how to make curie human themselves, but still trying to give her the most humanlike body they know how to make
You know, it's kind of funny Curie thinks she doesn't have the ability to feel inspiration. I'd say trying to completely swap bodies to make yourself more open to new ideas and ways of thinking is pretty inspired!
I had Curie as a death machine, Put everything unstable weapon on it, since she can't diez everytime she got downed she will repair herselfr, then I decided to put sentry legs, but then when she was converted into a synth she still had the sentry legs sound so that killed our relationship

And this is why you take off EVERYTHING on Curie, just make her a Jet thruster and a Mr handy body.
I've done the quest for Curie a few times now, and I've never seen Glory as her caretaker o.o
If you finish the main quest with the RR before this point then Glory won't be able to be there.
They literally had all the background material necessary for a Transhumanist Institute. That's they just never used in the main quest.
I was thinking, what if they copied all of Curies data in a seperate server. Could they keep redoing the procedure and have infinite Curies?
Damn so cheesy how instant the transfer is though... after watching so much Witcher story I wish the developers here just put a little extra effort that would have hugely improved the immersion, like simply having there be a delay between Curie the robot deactivating and Curie waking up as a synth.

Yet another show of how human Synths are; with Curie’s memories and attachments, one of the first things she experiences is grief, which Codsworth says isn’t possible for him, if you manage the entire game without talking to him (I.E Shawn is dead). Combine that with how Nick…just IS, it’s pretty easy to see that synths are indeed people, with thoughts and emotions.

You should see if Glory still appears for when Curie switches bodies, or if it's someone else after Glory dies from the Brotherhood of Steel.

I don't think Bethesda understands how data transfers work even though they use PC's to make the game. After the procedure there should be 2 Curies, 1 being the Synth and the other the original bot. I think ontop of missing fixing that scene so her modified robot form is used they missed a huge bit of fun with the robot version and the synth version of Curie being able to talk to each other and compare notes.
So, to put it simply: Don't give Curie a human body if you want to upgrade her robot body and keep it. Because you can't get it back. Got it.

For some reason I got the all factions agree ending and every railroad agent acts like glory is dead as she is walking around

Now when the new dlc is out curie is arguably most effective when she's a robot. So I'll keep her as that.

i had a glitch where i had the assaultron head that can charge and fire for curie and after she was transformed when i would go to attack people i could see her charging up below her feet it was really weird idk what happened
